Have you used your Rina K. Designs Electro Pop inks lately? I saw her do a fun stencil technique with them and I had to give it a try. First I taped off lines and ink blended a few of her fun inks. Then, just like she did, I stenciled over it with the darkest black ink I could find. It took two coats! the reveal was amazing! The black makes the bright inks appear even brighter! I'm in love!

Time for more rainbows from the Be the Rainbow set at Gina K. Designs. I don't see myself not using this set any time soon. I love EVERYTHING about it. I hope that's OK with you!

This card was one of those 10 minute cards that I rarely make. Three little blended squares, three rainbows, three enamel dots and a sentiment. AND done!

You Are Not Alone...

Happy Thursday!

I am back today with a very bright encouragement card for anyone who might need it.

Once again I used the Gina K. Designs Be The Rainbow stamp set. The sentiments in this set are absolutely perfect for any type of friendship or encouragement card.

I used a 1/2" stripes stencil that I cut with my Scan N Cut to make the background. I just blended the colors horizontally and then turned the stencil and blended the same colors in the other direction. I think the plaid is just wonderfully delicious!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes gray, lime green, fuchsia, and purple.

I used two stencils to make the background. First a square mask and then a stripe on top of it. I love how it looks dimensional, but it isn't. My stamps are from Gina K. Design. The set is called Be The Rainbow and I love everything about it!

Color Throwdown Challenge #576 - To Brighten Your Day

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. It is based on this inspiration photo which includes navy, teal and mustard yellow.

I really struggled with the colors this time. The first card I made was one big mishmash of ugly. I kept thinking about it and just knew I couldn't use it. It was awful! So this card was born. I used the desk lamp stamp and die from Taylored Expressions and then searched high and low for the perfect sentiment which I found at The Greetery. Whew! My final step was stenciling the background with some navy ink from Gina K. Designs.

I used just two stamps from the Autumn Splendor card kit from Gina K. Designs to make this card. I love the free form leaves! I heat embossed the small sentiment and then adhered letters I had die cut using a set from The Stamp Market.
