Color Throwdown Challenge #494 - Make a Wish

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. The colors are red, white and blue.  I love this combination!   Who doesn't?

Here is the inspiration photo:

This stamp set from Pinkfresh Studios just makes me so very happy.  I love all of the little animals and small fill in images.  It is called Playful Animal Friends 2.   I think there is a Scandinavian feel to the simple images.  I made this little shaker card for my sweet next door neighbor and she said she loved it.

You can also join in the fun at Color Throwdown if you would like. This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along.

See you again tomorrow!

You Brighten My Day

Happy Tuesday!

Day before yesterday I was telling you all about the beautiful new StampTV Kit, called Sunshine and Love.  Here is a reminder of what is included in the kit:

Today I used just the second layer of the daisy stamp.  It gives an entirely different look from the one I showed you on Sunday.  Take a look:

This kit is in stock right now, so be sure to not miss out.  And take a look at the newest colors too.  Swoon!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

You Are Magical

Hello Monday Friends!

My son asked me to make an encouragement card that he could give to one of his employees who is doing a great job.  I was so honored that he asked me.  He is an extraordinary artist himself, so I wanted it to be very special.  I actually made him two and hope he will ask me to make some more.

I used the Magical Unicorn stamp set from Pinkfresh Studios.  I've used it before, but I knew I had to step up my game for this one.  I absolutely love this rainbow unicorn!  And he did too!

Have a great day and I'll see you right here again tomorrow!

Wishing You Sunshine and Love

Happy Sunday!

Here in Texas it is a dark and rainy day.  So I am in my pj's enjoying a day of card making (and of course laundry...always laundry!)

Have you seen the newest StampTV Kit?  It is called Sunshine and Love.  Here is a look:

I used the layered daisies and coordinating leaves to make my focal point.  These daisies just knock my socks off.  I love the layered look, but also, just the second layer makes a beautiful image.  For this card I used gold embossing for the top layer.  I also used gold foil on the front of my shaker window.

This kit is in stock right now, so be sure to pop over and take a look.  And don't forget about the beautiful new colors at Gina K. Designs too!

Have a great Sunday and I'll see you tomorrow!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Happy Friday!

Today I'm sending my card over to challenge #28 at Lawn Fawnatics.  Here is the current graphic and the theme this time is actually a card sketch:

I used the Float my Boat stamps and dies to make my card.  It was so simple to put together!!  The colors make me think of summer, which is just fine with me!!

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see all the fun inspiration for this challenge.  There are also tons of cards in the gallery that are stunning!

Color Throwdown Challenge #493 - It's Your Birthday

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. The colors are aqua, lime and white.  This combo makes me just so happy!  Or is it the beach scene?

Here is the inspiration photo:

I used just a small part of the Altenew Leaf Burst stencil with some soft inks to make my tag.  Adding a sentiment, twine and one enamel dot completed it!

You can also join in the fun at Color Throwdown if you would like. This is just the second day, so you have plenty of time to play along.

See you again tomorrow!

Happy Mother's Day - And a Bit of Wisdom to Share

Happy Saturday!

Well, tomorrow is the day we celebrate our mothers and our children celebrate us.

If this is a difficult holiday for you, I encourage you to find joy in giving to others.  I have found that in my darkest and saddest times, the effort I made to give someone else a bit of joy often relieved some of my pain.

I wish all of my sweet readers a joyful day. I will be back here tomorrow with one final Mother's Day card and I'll see you then.

Inspired by all the Little Things #85 - I Miss You

Hello Friday Friends!

Here is my card for the current Inspired by all the Little Things challenge.  Floral images are all the rage right now, so I knew I would have plenty to choose from in my stash.

Take a look at this sweet inspiration photo:

Even though I have lots of floral stamp sets, I used one that I received in the mail just yesterday.  And it was a total surprise.  The sweet folks at Altenew sent me a small stamp set with this pretty floral image along with a sentiment that says handmade by Susie Moore.  What a kind thing to do!  Sharing kindness is just about the best thing ever and I feel so blessed by Altenew's sweet gesture!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #492 - Love is the Tie that Binds

Happy Thursday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. The colors are red, yellow, grey and white.  This combination looks so homespun to me, so I decided to make a quilt type card.

Here is the inspiration photo:

I used stamps and dies from PaperTrey Ink to make my card today.  I had the best time making this "quilt block".  I stamped some more in other colors, so I'll share those soon.

You can also join in the fun at Color Throwdown if you would like. This is just the second day, so you have plenty of time to play along.

See you again tomorrow!

Happy Mother's Day - Pink and Green Combo

Hello Wednesday Friends!

Ever since I was a little girl I have loved pink and green together.  I can specifically remember having a dress in these exact shades!  ...just a stroll down memory lane.

I used the Sparkle Dot Patterns 1 stamp set from Pretty Pink posh to make the heart template.  I used sequins to fill in the design.

When I first added my tag to the pink background, it felt lacking.  So I grabbed a stencil from Altenew and added the pink stripes onto a white background.  It felt complete then!

Have a lovely day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Hello Friend

Happy Tuesday!

Have you seen the Hello Beautiful set available at Gina K. Designs?  Take a look:

I've made quite a few cards using this set already.  For most of them I used the stamps in a very traditional way, but today I wanted to use the images as a background.

I white heat embossed all of the images and then used Distress Oxide inks on top of them to create a pinkish backdrop for the lovely flowers.  This is one of my favorite techniques!  Even though I don't like to get messy, I still enjoy doing this one messy thing!

So there you go.  A messy technique and a pretty card!

See you tomorrow!

You Make my Life a Little Better

Happy Sunday!

I am using products from Gina K. Designs today.  My background is made using an older set called Geo Thanks and my sentiment is from the Lovely and Lettered set which was released  recently.

I didn't do any shading at all on my flowers or leaves.  I wanted a very graphic look.  I stamped some hearts in black around my flowers to add a bit of visual depth.

I love the sentiments in this set - they are all very sweet and encouraging!

I'll be back tomorrow with a new project and I'll see you then.

Essentials by Ellen April Pin Sights Challenge - Happy Mother's Day

Hello Saturday Friends!

Today I am sharing my card over at the Essentials by Ellen April Pin-Sights Challenge.  I used the Rustic Botanicals stamp and die set for my card.  Even though everything about this card is clean and simple, I struggled majorly with it.  But in the end, I am pleased with how it turned out.

Check out the current Pinterest board which serves as the inspiration for the challenge:

This challenge doesn't end until May 15th, so you still have plenty of time to play along.  To be eligible, you MUST use Essentials by Ellen products and the current Pinterest board as inspiration.  Then you can link up your creation using the inlinkz button on this challenge post.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #491 - Happy Mother's Day

Happy Thursday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. The colors are coral, green, white and kraft.  It took me a few tries to create this card the way I envisioned it, but it finally worked out!

Here is the inspiration photo:

I pulled out three floral stamp sets from MFT Stamps and two from Simon Says Stamp.  I chose a few stamps from each set to make my background.  I loved coloring  these images and seeing them all come to life.  I have six Mother's Day cards to make, so watch for more very soon.

You can also join in the fun at Color Throwdown if you would like. This is just the second day, so you have plenty of time to play along.

See you again tomorrow!

Time Out Challenge #108 - You are Paw-Some!

Happy Friday!

Time Out Challenges is a super fun website I discovered a few weeks ago.  This time the challenge is to be wild.  So I stamped some precious lion cubs for my card.

I used the Liam and Liz Lion stamp set from Gina K. Designs to make my card.  Even though these cubs are so super sweet, they are still technically wild!!  I thought this would be a nice encouragement card and I love the blue!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Altenew April Inspiration Challenge - You are in my Prayers

Happy Monday!

It is the final day of April and I am getting in just under the wire for the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge.   Look at this gorgeous inspiration photo:

I used the Leaf Burst Stencil to create my image.  Sometimes I forget about my stencils...but not today!!  I was so excited to use this particular one, I made three different projects.  I'll share the rest of them very soon.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Hello Friend

Hello Sunday Friends!

Today's card was an experiment that actually turned out well!  I stamped onto Edible Eggplant card stock from Gina K. Designs and then used just one white pencil to color inside all the lines.  To me it looks like vellum (but without the hassle of cutting it out!)

This was a super fun technique which I plan to do again.  I promise to share my next one with you too!

See you tomorrow.
