Happy Halloween to You

Happy Sunday!

I decided after making a specifically little boy card,  I'd make a little girl card. Last weekend I saw how my two year old granddaughter "enjoys" my cards, so decided not to add anything but a few sequins.

Illy likes to pull things off and rearrange them once she gets a card from me. I can't blame her - she is an artist at heart. It's in her blood!

So I kept this simple - just coloring in the images from the Pretty Pink Posh BOO stamp set and adding three black sequins. I love all the pink, purple and green on this card. Such a fun color combination!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

BOO

Happy Saturday!

It was brought to my attention by one six year old boy that I don't send boy cards to him. He thinks the cards I send his family are just for his mom. I hope this one changes his mind!

The stars and the spider web backgrounds are both flock sheets applied with Deco-Foil Transfer Gel and then run through my laminator. I colored all the images and the background of each letter in typical autumn colors, but for just a bit more male factor I added googly eyes where there are really skeleton heads.

I will await the next critique and am hoping to get a better reaction this time. If I could figure out how to make this card burp or toot, I KNOW I'd get a great score!  BOYS!!

Have a great day and I'll be back again tomorrow!

Celebrate Today

Happy Friday!

For those of you who have been waiting for Perfect Pallets to come back in stock at Gina K. Designs...today's your lucky day!

I've paired the stamp with another of my favorites today. It is called Just a Little. I love the look of the floral spray stamped over the wood planks. I hope you do too.

Have a fun day today and I'll see you back here tomorrow!

Pretty Pink Posh August Release Blog Hop - Day 1

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to day #1 of the Pretty Pink Posh August Release Blog Hop. This release went live on the 20th and hopefully you have snagged some of your favorites already! For the next two days design team members and guest bloggers (like me) will be sharing some of our favorites from this release.

Are there prizes? You bet! Be sure to leave comments on each stop. Paulina is giving away four $25 gift certificates to four random folks (2 winners each day) posting their comments before August 28, 2019 at 11:59 pm PST. Winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh blog, so be sure to check next week and see if you are one of the lucky winners!

Below I have close ups of four cards that are making me want
to get my fall craft plans in motion!

This one uses the Fall Borders Stamp Set as well as the Fall Signs stamps and dies. I used a bit of ink blending behind my scarecrow and Copic markers to color in all my images. I added some beautiful 4mm Pumpkin Sequins to finish my card.

This card was fun to assemble. I used the Fall Border stamp set again, but stamped it repeatedly to make a full background which I then colored. I cut out the center rectangle so I could ink blend a background and then added the Spooky Fence. I didn't want it to look too spooky, so I kept it white. It needed a frame so I grabbed some brown card stock for the win. I splattered some white paint on the background and then added some 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins. I couldn't resist the cornucopia from the Fall Signs stamp and die set, so Copic markers made quick work of it for me.

I think this is my favorite card. I masked off square sections of my card base and then ink blended each one. I LOVED doing this. I stacked up 3 layers of the Boo die cuts and then added the fourth one which I had black heat embossed and colored with Copic markers. A sentiment from the Boo stamp set and a few 4mm Pumpkin sequins and this card was good to go!

My final card is almost one layer. I stamped all the little signs from the Fall Signs stamp set onto the smaller panel. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut masks for all of them. After that step, I just ink blended the panel and added splatters of black ink and 4mm Pumpkin Sequins. The best part of course is the reveal. I cut a panel of fun foam and raised up the entire small panel onto a card base of kraft card stock. Easy peasy. Pumpkin squeezy? hmmm...

Tomorrow will bring a whole new group of talented bloggers who will share some wonderful projects with you. Be sure to come back then and leave comments on as many blogs as you can both days.

Color Throwdown Challenge #557 - May Your Day be Great and Your Eyeliner Straight

Happy Wednesday!

I must thank Molly the Cat for posting for me the last few days. But I am back now and she is taking a well deserved nap (one of many). Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. Who wouldn't love to create with these colors?

I used stamps and dies from Picket Fence Studios for my card today. The background stamp is called Your Eyeliner Straight and my stylish shopper is called BFF Girl Ava. I think she is just so mysterious. I never looked like that, but I'm old enough now no one would know if I said I did!!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. The CTD designers always have such beautiful projects to inspire us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Happy Halloween to You

Meow!

It's Molly the Cat again today. My mom is still under the weather, but I know she really wanted you to see this card because it is part of the new release from Pretty Pink Posh. She told me she used a stencil for the spider web and images and dies from one of the new stamp sets. That's about all she said as she was falling back to sleep...but I can also see some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh too.

She told me you would want to see the full release, so you can click right here to go see it.

Now curl up in your little bed and get lots of rest - that's my plan anyway...right after I use some of these fun kitty cat sized ink pads.

Hey There Y'all

Meow!

This is Molly the Cat typing today. My mom is sick in bed and just can't pull herself out to post this card for you.

Because I'm a cat, I know nothing of what companies made these stamps or papers or sequins, but I can tell you she made the usual mess while pulling out all sorts of products to make this card. Lucky for you I found this one in her "hold for blog" folder in Google Drive. If needed, I'll search there again for another card for tomorrow. But I will be just as clueless about the specifics.

I hope your day is better than my mom's and I really hope she will be back tomorrow because I have other things to do.....

And If Not, He is Still Good

Happy Friday!

This is one of my favorite quotes. God has been so faithful to our family. I know He says no sometimes, but it is always for our best and I've learned that over the years.

I used the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder System to make this card and images from the Perfect Pallets and Thankful and Blessed stamp sets. It is so much fun to mix sets and create unique cards!

And you are in luck this weekend because Gina K. Designs is having a back to school sale!

Don't miss out on this great sale. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Hope Your Days are Happy - Take 2

Happy Thursday!

Yesterday I used this exact same stamp from Art Impressions and did a faux water color look using Copic markers. Today I tried my hand at actual water coloring. It took me about four tries to get the affect I wanted and I am sort of pleased with this one!

I have every water color set ever recommended, but I haven't used most of them. Even this time I just used Distress Inks and water to color my image. I need more time to practice and I do plan to try again after watching some videos rather intently.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #556 - Hope Your Days are Happy

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. Aren't these colors pretty in such muted hues?

I used an Art Impressions stamp which I just purchased at Stampaway. I could hardly wait to get it inky. I colored the image with Copic markers, but in a way that makes it look water colored. After I completed the card I tried my hand at water coloring this image. It took a few tries, but I liked the final one. I will show you right here tomorrow.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. The CTD designers always have unique and beautiful projects to inspire us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

You're My Main Squeeze

Happy Tuesday!

Is it possible to have too many fruit stamp sets? Nope. At least I don't think so!

I have to show you this Main Squeeze set from Gina K. Designs. You can make lots of different fruits with it (and it has dies too!). I love the layering ability as well as the cute sentiments.

I love clean and graphic designs which is why I chose the yellow and black vibe for my card today. I hope you like it! I'll be back tomorrow, so I'll see you then!

Love You

Happy Monday!

Today's card is brought to you by a fun Concord and 9th background, a sweet Pretty Pink Posh firefly and a very large Altenew sentiment. Do you like mixing your stamp companies?  I sure do.

I did a quick blend over the background and then added my sentiment and firefly. I'm not sure this card could have been any easier!

Have a creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Thanks a Melon

Happy Sunday!

I just returned from a super fun trip where I attended Stampaway in Cincinnati, Ohio. I had such a great time with my friend Cathy and the new friends I discovered while there.

I took some great classes and I can hardly wait to share what I learned! In the meantime, here is another card using the Gina K. Designs Electro Pop Inks. Isn't that watermelon just crazy beautiful??

I'll see you again tomorrow. Until then, stay sweet!

Sending Best Wishes

Happy Saturday!

I am still smitten with this Special Friends stamp set from Penny Black. This time I masked all the areas I wanted to cover in order to create the ink blended background. Then I stamped the images into their spots. This made for a very simple card once the masks were cut on my Brother Scan n Cut.

Adding the sentiment created the only dimension on this card. Otherwise it's a one layer card which is not the norm for me.

Have a fun day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Congrats

Happy Friday!

Please forgive me if I am obsessed with the new Gina K. Designs Electro Pop Inks!  But come on - where else will you find this amazing depth of color?

I stamped up a bunch of these flowers and then started layering them and voila - a card front was born! Gotta love when a card comes together this quickly!

Have a bright and colorful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

You are the Best - Framed Art

Happy Thursday!

Who says stamping is only for card making? Not me! Not when there are so many beautiful stamp sets available that scream to be seen on a daily basis.

I used the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder System along with my Memory Misti to make this rather large framed piece. It's as easy as going around in a circle! And sometimes it's hard to stop, but I think I stopped just in time on this one.

I used two Gina K. Designs stamp sets to make this. First is Your Wings and second is Today and Always.

There are so many sets that can be used in the Wreath Builder System. I would truly love to hear some of your creative suggestions!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #555 - Drink Up the Sunshine

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. I thoroughly enjoyed being the July guest designer and now I am loving just playing along in August! I love the summer feel of these bright floral colors!

I used supplies from Simon Says Stamp and My Favorite Things to make my card. I've had this stamp for a while and decided I better use it before summer is actually over! I've already seen Christmas cards on the web and I am NOT ready for that just yet.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. The CTD designers always have unique and beautiful projects to inspire us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Wish Big

Happy Tuesday!

Do you have a set you just want to color every way possible? Me too and this is it. I love the Create in Color stamp set from Taylored Expressions. Today I've colored it in a pale rainbow sequence using Copic markers.

I added the sentiment from an Altenew stamp set because I thought these big pencils deserved a big sentiment!

I hope you have the most wonderful and colorful day ever. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Wild About You

Happy Monday!

Do you need sunglasses for this one? That's because I used the new Electro Pop neon inks from Gina K. Designs. Seriously, if they weren't made for a jungle theme, what were they made for??

My images are all from the Concord and 9th stamp and die set called Toucan Paradise. I seriously want to stamp that guy in every color of neon ink! So stay tuned, because I just might!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Your Kindness Means so Much

Happy Sunday!

I recently discovered that The Ton has a plethora of digital cut files. This is one that I bought a few days back. It is a layered stencil set that creates these gorgeous dahlias..like in 3 minutes! I love working with them!

Here is a link to this particular stencil, but she has so many that might be just what you need!

See you again tomorrow. Until then, have a great day!

Hello

Happy Saturday!

Once a month my friend Jalayne and I have an "art" class at a local assisted living. We have learned over the years that these residents can't do too much on a project...but do love to glue things and also they love BLING.

So this was one of the projects they did yesterday. All of the elements on the tag were left over from the Lawn Fawn Make n Take at Junkie Fest.  They LOVED gluing them on to the tag. We always encourage them to "make it your own" so we had some with multiple boats and MANY with lots of clouds and bling. This one was just my sample to help inspire them.

I've included a few pictures of our friends getting their craft on. I hope you enjoy them!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #57 - Flying By to Say Hi

Happy Friday!

I am sending this card over to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. The challenge this time is called Little Things. We are to focus on little images. I went as small as I could from my collection!

If you love Lawn Fawn, you can play along too. This challenge ends on August 4th so you still have a little time to play along and enter.

See you again tomorrow!

Gina K. Designs July 2019 Card Kit and Illustrator Blog Hop - Day 2

Happy Thursday!

Welcome back for the second day of our Gina K. Designs July Release Blog Hop. If you didn't catch us yesterday, be sure to go back because you will want to stop by each blog both days and leave a comment. Gina will choose a person from each day's comments and he/she will win a $50 gift card to the Gina K. online store. $50 in stamping goodness!!

My first three cards use the brand new Gina K. Designs Card Kit called Pop Art Flowers. You could make cards for days with this kit!

The first card (above) is made with the Wrapped in Love set from the set. I also used the Sassy Stripes stencil. I cut a mask of the stamped floral image and then added ink to the stencil. When I peel away the mask it left the perfect area for me to stamp the image.

Next up I used images from the Electro Pop Flowers set. I went very basic on this one with no masking. I thought it gave sort of a 60s vibe.

For my third card I used images from the Pop Art Flowers stamp and die set. Before I even had a plan, I stamped and cut tons of the images from the set. I used the included layering guide to help me get the shading correct. Then I started arranging and decided to make a floral wreath. I hope you like how it came together.

The final set I used in this new release was the Main Squeeze stamp and die set illustrated by Hannah Schroepfer. I have never met a fruit set I didn't love and this one was no exception! I decided to create a kiwi card to showcase this set. I used the Sassy Stripes stencil as well, but kept the lines horizontal this time.

You most likely landed here from Rema's so very creative blog and now I am sending you on to see what Karen Hightower has up her talented sleeve for you. If you need to go back to the beginning, Gina K. has the full list on her blog.

Do you love the products in today's post? You can purchase them all by clicking below:
I do receive a small commission when you purchase using this link at no additional cost to you.

That's it for me today, but I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!
