Color Throwdown Challenge #552 - Craftiness is Happiness

Happy Wednesday!

I am happy to be sharing my third card as a guest designer for the Color Throwdown Challenge this month! This is my favorite challenge and I am honored to be a small part of this wonderful team during the month of July.

Be sure to play along with us this week at the Color Throwdown Challenge. Every week a new color palette is released and we get to make a project from that inspiration. Today Barbara is our hostess and here is our oh so pretty color palette:

I used the yarn heart dies from Hero Arts to make my focal point and added in my silver knitting needles from the same kit. I also used the micro grid panel die from Waffle Flower for my background.

Be sure to check out The Color Throwdown for the rules, a link to add your project and to check out what the design team has crafted for you this week.

Our Friendship is Timeless

Happy Tuesday!

Some stamp sets are just so beautiful and I think this one fits that bill. It was designed by Alicia Krupskya for Gina K. Designs and is called Timeless Beauty.

I have used numerous images from this set over the past few months. Now that I look at it, I have used ALL of the images from this set. That rarely happens. I guess I really do love this one!

You can see lots of cards using this set on our June 2019 Release Pinterest Board. I hope you will take a look. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Aloha

Happy Monday!

Or should I say aloha? I am totally in love with the Tropical Birds set from Pretty Pink Posh! Those birds and the palm tree are sheer perfection! I haven't colored the flamingos yet...but I will very soon! Here is a look:

I set my tropical scene using Distress Oxides over the Tropical Background stencil. I knew I wanted light colors, so I blended four different inks to achieve my goal. Then I colored all of my elements trying to achieve the same light and airy colors.

The little flowers are from the Tropical Toucans stamp set which I've used quite a bit already. Here is a look at that super cute set:

Just a note: after I did my stenciling, I sprayed Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray over it. Because it is a liquid, it made some of the Distress Inks bleed a bit. When everything was dry, I just went over the affected lines with a white gel pen and the problem was solved.

I had a blast making this card and I hope you like it! I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Oh the Overwhelming Never Ending Recklace Love of God

Happy Sunday!

This stamp set from Joy Clair Stamps is near and dear to me. I am so happy to be the child of a God who will go ANYWHERE and do ANYTHING to keep me safely in His arms.  He is NOT a reckless God. No, not at all. But he is a God who will take any risk for me. I can't help but praise Him when I think about this!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

You Can Do It!

Happy Friday!

I am having so much fun creating content for Pretty Pink Posh during the month of July. My only goal is to share inspiration with you and encourage you to color, paint, draw...whatever makes you happy in your craft space. If you are like me and love Pretty Pink Posh...maybe some of my creations will strike a happy chord for you!

Today I used images from the adorable little stamp and die set called Tropical Toucans. I don't know if real life toucans can be any color at all...but I know mine can be. I experimented with a few combinations and decided on this one for today's card. Everything is colored with Copic markers. I added a bit of shimmer to the flowers with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen and a few gems from the Berry Splash Mix.

I already have an idea for my next Pretty Pink Posh card. Stay tuned...I think I will have it ready on Monday!

Until then, I'll see you again tomorrow.

You Have Been Assigned This Mountain....

Happy Thursday!

I am back from an overnight trip where I shopped through Waco - home of all things Joanna Gaines! There are so many little antique and junk stores there and I had a ball. What a fun trip!

So here I am sharing this bright and hopefully inspiring card with you today. I love this sentiment and also all of the shine. All of the products on this card are from Gina K. Designs. This sentiment is near and dear to me because God has moved so many mountains for me and always brings me to a better place than I could imagine.

Just a happy thought for today. I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #551 - You Have my Heart

Happy Wednesday!

I am happy to be sharing my second card as a guest designer for the Color Throwdown Challenge this month! July has five Wednesdays, so I'll even get a bonus post!!

Be sure to play along with us this week at the Color Throwdown Challenge. Every week a new color palette is released and we get to make a project from that inspiration. Today Amy Rysavy is our hostess and here is our pretty color palette:

I used feminine stamps and dies from InkOn3 and Gina K. Designs to make my card. I also gold heat embossed a piece of white card stock and die cut it using a die from Paper Smooches to make that fun inset grid. I love the gold!

Be sure to check out The Color Throwdown for the rules, a link to add your project and to check out what the design team has crafted for you this week.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #56 - I Sea It's Your Birthday

Happy Tuesday

I am sending this card over to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. The challenge this time is called Beautiful Beaches. All of my little elements are looking forward to a very happy birthday at the beach - especially those little sea horses!

If you love Lawn Fawn, you can play along with this challenge too. This challenge ends on June 14th so you still have plenty of time to enter!

See you again tomorrow!

We're the Perfect Blend

Happy Monday!

Have you entered the July challenge over at Gina K. Designs?  You can read all about it by clicking here.  Cat is our hostess and her challenge title is "Flag You're It".  Just use the colors of your flag - of course my flag is red, white and blue.

I've been on a patriotic roll for the past few (??) days...so this one came together easily for me. I am displaying it in a frame, but I can't figure out who to give it to, so I might just make a card of it.

I used the Perfect Blend stamp set and made my circle of coffee cups by means of the Memory Misti and the Mega Wreath Builder templates.

Our challenge does not end until July 31st, so you have plenty of time to enter. And you might just win a gift card to Gina's store. Give it a try!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Let's Celebrate!

Happy Sunday!

As promised, here is yet another red, white and blue card for this holiday weekend. I know I should stop...but I think I am going to do one more! After tomorrow, I'll try to curb my current red, white and blue obsession.

I do wish the gold confetti and cloud would have shown up better, but in real life, they really do sparkle. And my shaker bits do too!

I hope you have a great day and I'll see you right back here tomorrow.

You're an Inspiration to Me

Happy Saturday!

And three more cheers for the red, white and blue!

More coming tomorrow.  I just can't help it!

See you then.

Happy Summer

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone had a marvelous holiday yesterday. I started thinking and decided to keep up the red white and blue theme all the way through the weekend. Why use it all up on one day????

Once again I used the Pretty Pink Posh Summer Surfboards, but this time in a much more traditional way. You can refer to this post to see my out of the box post a few days ago. My surfboards are all black heat embossed and then colored with Copic markers. I love dots...but I may have gone overboard on these. No? I agree!

Here is a look at the stamp and die. I am going to start using some of my other summer stamps, so I am going to set these aside for just a bit.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for another red, white and blue card. See you then!

Gina K. Designs and InkOn3 Collaboration Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday!

This is my second post of the day and I'd like to welcome you to the Gina K. Designs and InkOn3 Collaboration Blog Hop. You probably arrived here from Ashlea Cornell's blog.

Our design teams are partnering today to bring you some fun and unique designs which employ products from both companies.

The card above uses the Gina K. Designs Vibrant Blooms stamp and die set as well as the InkOn3 Bad Boujee stamp and die set nestled together to make a cheerful thank you card. All of the images are colored using Copic markers and the InkOn3 perfume bottle is heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I masked off some lines at the bottom of the card and ink blended three green inks to form a base for my grouping.

Here is my second card for this hop:

For this card I used the Gina K. Designs Sunshine stencil and once again the Bad Boujee stamp and die set from InkOn3. I used Passionate Pink ink and card stock and I tried the new Liquid Pixie Dust on the stamped lips and WOW does it shimmer. I think InkOn3 has a winner with this little bottle of happiness!

You next stop on the hop is Kassi Hulet. If you get lost along the way you can see the entire list at Gina's blog.

We will have two lucky winners. One will receive a $50 gift card to Gina K. Designs and one will win a $50 gift card to InkOn3. Be sure to leave a comment on each blog in the hop so you can be eligible for the prizes. We will be picking random winners from the comments and they will be announced on each company's blog on July 8, 2019.

Have a terrific time hopping and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #550 - Always Rooting for You

Good Morning My Friends!

I have the honor of being a guest designer for my absolute favorite weekly challenge for the entire month of July. I can't tell you just how happy I am about it all too!

If you haven't played along at the Color Throwdown Challenge, you are missing some fun! Every week a new color palette is released and we get to make a project from that inspiration. Wanda is our hostess this week and here is our color palette:

The only stamp set I used for my card was the new Concord and 9th Rooting for You set. This is really a precious set and I can't wait to make more cards with it. All of the outline images come with a stamp that fills them in, but I decided to use Copic markers to color the images this time.

Be sure to check out The Color Throwdown for the rules, a link to add your project and to check out what the design team has crafted for you this week.

Sending You Sunshine and Sending Smiles Across the Miles

Happy Tuesday!

I have the honor of being a social media guest designer for Pretty Pink Posh during the month of July. I am pumped to hold this title for an entire month!

All month long I'll be posting cards for Pretty Pink Posh here, on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. I thought I'd start out with two out of the norm cards using the brand new Summer Surfboards stamp and die set.

Did you ever think a grouping of surfboards could look like a cabana cover? Me neither until I was arranging some on my table after heat embossing a bunch of them. But all of a sudden that is how they looked to me, so I went with it!

I colored and die cut images from the Tropical Birds set and the branch from the Tropical Toucans set to create the scene below my cabana cover. To finish my card I added the sentiment and a few jewels from the Citrus Blend Jewels Mix.

The same thing happened when I stamped and heat embossed more of the Summer Surfboards, but this time they became a daisy. I added a sentiment from the Encouraging Greetings set and then fell instantly in love with the simplicity of this card! I added a few 4mm Metallic Silver Sequins to complete the card.

In a few days I'll be back with a more traditional use of the Summer Surfboards. Until then, happy crafting and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Altenew June Inspiration Challenge - You are the Best

Happy Sunday!

Today I am sending my card over to the Altenew June Inspiration Challenge. I used the Folksy Florals stamp and die set to make this card. I noticed it is on sale right now too! This is the color inspiration for this challenge and it is so unique:

Make it a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Let Your Faith be Bigger than Your Fear

Happy Saturday!

Oh the ink blending!  And the sentiment. I love making cards like this!

All of the products for this card can be found at Gina K. Designs. I rarely use shades of purple, but I just thought this stenciled background needed a royal treatment. The sentiment is very near to my heart and I really wanted it to stand out.

Have a wonderfully crafty day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

You Have my Heart

Happy Friday!

If you are a fan of all things vintage and romantic, may I suggest the Timeless Beauty stamp set from Gina K. Designs? You can see all the images here:

I combined my colored images with the Art Deco stencil also from Gina K. Designs. I used black Glitz Glitter Gel with the stencil to make that gorgeous background.

I hope you like the black and pink combo. I think it is classic and reminiscent of the 1940s. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Today is all About You

Happy Thursday!

I had three Pinkfresh Studio stamp sets on my desk, so I grabbed small icons from each set to make this card. I used: Playful Animal Friends 1, Folk Mandala, Birds and Bows, and Sweet Treats. It's a fun way to use the smaller images in stamp sets.

I love making backgrounds like this and then coloring them in with my Copic markers. I like to experiment with colors and this time the blue-violet of that bird just hit a note for me. I've used the color combination a few more times since.

Anyway, I hope you have a marvelous day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #549 - You are so Loved

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. These colors are so beautiful. I don't know why, but this seem nautical to me!

I used supplies from the newest Simon Says Stamp release to make my card. Ink blending through the stencil was fun!! I had a really hard time photographing this card, but it really is prettier in person.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. The CTD designers always have unique and beautiful projects to inspire us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

You Make me Happy When Skies are Grey

Happy Tuesday!

While I had the Over It stamp set on my desk I decided to make another card - this time all in pink. I used Copic markers to quickly color in my rainbows and then grabbed a sentiment from the set.

Easy peasy!! And quick! I don't often make a quick card...but it worked out this time.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

A Crafty Life is a Happy Life

Happy Monday!

How about a bright shaker card to start the week?  I used stamps and dies from the May My Monthly Hero kit for most of my card. I did a little bit of light coloring on the images with Copic markers.

What is making that shine? It's Rainbow Shattered Foil from Therm-o-Web. I was experimenting with it a few weeks ago but didn't have time to make a card with it. That all changed when I decided to make this card!

This card is going off into the mail to one of my craftiest friends!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Praying for You

Happy Sunday!

Hannah Schroepfer designed this beautiful stamp set called Whimsical Wildflower Frame. She is one of the newer illustrators at Gina K. Designs and every set she has created has been a stunner! This one is no exception. I love that the wildflower frame is two separate stamps which makes it incredibly versatile.

For this card I heat embossed just the lower frame using Passionate Pink ink with Versamark stamped over it. I did the same for the sentiment which is from Have Faith illustrated by Emily Loggans. Here are all the sentiments in her beautiful set:

I just loved mixing these two sets. I hope you liked it too!

See you tomorrow!

You've Been on my Mind

Happy Saturday!

Have you entered the June challenge over at Gina K. Designs?  You can read all about it and enter your project by clicking here. Arjeta is our hostess and she wants us to make a vintage floral card.

I used the Grand Garden stamp set to make my card. I stamped with a very light grey for both my flowers and the card base. I used a pale green for the leaves. I thought these two colors looked sort of old fashioned and I do love the softness of the images.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #55 - When the Waters Get Rough, I'm Here for You

Happy Friday!

I am sending this card over to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. The challenge this time is called Hello Summer. What could be better than sailing on an ocean of pink and a sky filled with orange? I used softer tones of this color palette but it still says summer to me!

If you love Lawn Fawn, you can play along with this challenge too. This challenge ends on June 30th so you still have plenty of time to enter!

See you again tomorrow!
