Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - YAY!

Happy Tuesday!

Here is my card for the monthly challenge over at Pinkfresh Studio.  They truly have some of the most innovative stamp sets I've seen and I love them all!

I used the Pinkfresh Studio Sweet Treats stamp and die set for today's card.  It is on major sale right now, so you will want to take a look at it!  I loved using colors from the inspiration photo as well as adding some pretty flowers to my layered cake.

Have a super creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Gina K. Designs Therm-o-Web StampnStencil Blog Hop

Happy Monday!

Our team is having a blast using the new Gina K. Designs StampnStencil system along with the unbelievably beautiful Glitz Glitter Gels.  Look at these colors!!

And here are the two newly released StampnStencil products:

We also have a new ribbon - with SILVER!!!!

I made three cards for this hop. The first two use the new products exclusively and the third one uses an older GKD stencil with the Glitz Glitter Gel.  Know what I love about the Glitz Glitter Gel?  Once it is dry, it does not come off.  I don't know what magic causes this, but it is the BEST!

Happy Easter

Happy Sunday!

I've been busy working on some Easter cards. I love to send cards to my grandchildren for each holiday.  I send one to each family instead of each child. Having thirteen grandkids makes "family" cards necessary!

I made this little card by placing a rainbow of papers behind my filigree bunny. I made a second card using this die, but used something very different for the color. I'll show you that one soon.

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

AAA Cards Challenge #136 - Sending Happy Thoughts

Happy Saturday!

A few days ago I used this same die from Simon Says Stamp to create a card.  That card had a very different look as I used foil and pastel Copic markers.  Today my image is inlaid with plenty of color - a whole rainbow to be exact!

And since I am loving the clean and simple cards, I am also sending my card to the AAA Cards Clean and Simple Challenges blog.  The challenge this time is one image with an optional twist of spring.  I think all these bright colors might make you think of beautiful spring flowers.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

I Adore You

Happy Friday!

Have you tried the new Glitz Glitter Gel from Gina K. Designs?  What a game changer!  Can you see all the glitter on this card?  Well, none of it comes off in your hands.  Somehow (magic) it is encased in gel and once it dries, it is locked in.  PURE MAGIC!

I used the Floral stencil from Gina K. and applied the gel through it.  Drying time was less than an hour.  I can't believe how easy this was and how sparkly it is!

We are going to have a blog hop on Monday and you will get to see lots of projects using this product.  I hope you will join in!

Have a great Friday and I'll see you tomorrow!

You're the Best

Happy Thursday!

I tried a different technique with my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system for this card.  I didn't know what to expect, but what I got was a game changer!

I used the Simon Says Stamp Filigree Heart die with a pretty blue foil in my Glimmer.  Oh my word!  It left this beautiful pale blue foiled outline.  It was pretty enough on its own, but I decided to use some very light Copic markers to add color to the flowers and leaves.

This was a great experiment and I can't wait to try it again!

See you tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #535 - Have I Told You Lately That You are Amazing?

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this first day of spring color palette.  It makes me so happy to see these colors together!

I used the Altenew Vintage Roses Add-on stamp set for my card today.  I thought since it was the first day of spring I would use some beautiful florals for my design.  I absolutely love making backgrounds with a large sentiment added last.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  This is only the first day so you have plenty of time!  You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Love You So Mush

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I have another card using the phenomenal Kitchen Sink Stamps.  This multi layered set is called Forest Toadstool and looks like this:

This is one of the easiest multi layered stamp sets to put together.  I had such a good time making all sorts of colored mushrooms for my card!  The sentiment comes from this set as well.

I hope you have a marvelous day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!

I am still playing with the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System.  Of course the best part is the reveal!  I used the current Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month set to make my foiled wreath and flowers.  And last month's set for the foiled sentiment.

I couldn't resist adding my Pretty Pink Posh peacock to the wreath.  I'll be coloring more of them soon I think!

The sparkly panel behind my shaker window was made using a stencil and the Gina K. Designs new Glimmering Gold Foil.  I just love those little dots!

Have a great Monday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Thinking of You

Happy Saturday!

I've been playing with all sorts of foiling methods this week.  I love playing with it, but photographing the end result is just plain hard!

If you can't tell, the middle heart is green foil and the other two are gold foil.  I used my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system with one of their heart plates.  I've enjoyed working with it as well as some other foiling techniques and over the next few days I'll have more to share with you!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

I am pretty much in love with these new products and I can't wait to show you more cards I've made using the brand new Glitz Glitter Gel as well.  So hang tight!

Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday!

Pretty Pink Posh has done it again with the Spring Wreath.  I loved their Autumn Wreath, so there was no question I would be adding this one to my collection!  And rest assured if there is a winter and a summer version, I'll have those too!

I used Copic markers for my coloring medium.  I would like to try colored pencils next.  I am not sure if you can tell, but I embossed the background with a small dot pattern.  It just adds a bit extra to the card.

Have a lovely day and I'll be back again tomorrow with something new.

See you then!

Color Throwdown Challenge #534 - Hello, I Just Wanted to Say Hi

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette:

I used the Special Friends stamp set from Penny Black for my little bunny.  The grounding and the clouds are from The Ink Blot Shop.  And my sentiment is from Wplus9.  I love mixing sets to get the look I want!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  This is only the first day so you have plenty of time!  You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

You Make Me Happy

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I guess I am wishing for spring right now with these bright and cheerful flowers.   I used the You Make Me Happy stamp set (and dies) from Gina K. Designs.  This set was designed by the super talented Lisa Hetrick.

Instead of masking all the flowers, I decided to die cut them and arrange them.  I actually like the dimension it brings to the card!

Have a terrific Tuesday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Hello Spring

Happy Monday!

I could hardly wait to share this project with you!  First let me show you the Kitchen Sink Stamps set I used which is called Honey Bunny.

I stamped and die cut enough bunnies for a wreath.  I used the Gina K. Designs Mega Wreath Builder to make sure the bunnies were placed evenly.  I used the Hello Spring sentiment from the Honey Bunny set and little flower stamps from the Mini Wreath Builder to finish the center area.

I absolutely LOVE these little bunnies and to see them framed up like this just makes them even better!

I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share with you.  I hope to see you then!

Pencil Me In; I Miss You

Happy Sunday!

Gina K. has a great new set called Crafty Notes.  I sought out one of the smallest stamps and wondered if I could use it to make a clean and simple card.  So out came the pencil stamp.

I die cut a rainbow of pencils coloring them in with soft Copic colors.  Then I taped them all together on the back to make one element.  I decided to stamp and cut one more pencil to make the layout more symmetrical and I love how it all turned out!

Have you purchased this set yet?  It's a good one!!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Ladybug Hugs

Happy Saturday!

I'm back again with another card using Kitchen Sink Stamps.  This time I am using the Ladybug Hugs set.  Here is a look at how this set is laid out:

I stamped and die cut two sweet little ladybugs thinking I would make two cards...but then I decided to use them both on this one card giving each other a hug.  Fun!   The sentiments in the set are great too.  And the price point?  Only $8.00 - I don't think you can beat that price!

On Monday I will have another project using Kitchen Sink Stamps.  This one will be a special project and I hope you'll come by to see it.  Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday!

Have you seen the beautiful multi layer stamps available at Kitchen Sink Stamps?  This one is called California Quail.  And here is a graphic of the stamp set:

The quail is a five layer image and the egg cluster is a three layer image.  I experienced a bit of a learning curve when I first used these stamps, but I figured them out quickly.  The website is very helpful when it comes to color choices and basic tips and tricks, so be sure to use that resource!

The sentiment is from the Altenew Trendy Circles stamp set.  I think the Quail with this sentiment would be perfect for a male birthday card.

I have some more Kitchen Sink Stamps to share with you soon.  So stay tuned!

I'll see you again tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #533 - In My Imaginary Neighborhood, You Live Right Next Door

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette:

I used the Concord & 9th City Stacks stamp set for my focal image.  I also blended a few shades of Distress Oxides to form my evening sky.  Don't you love the sentiment on this card!  I know I do!!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  This is only the first day so you have plenty of time!  You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Craftin' Desert Divas March Creative Inspiration Challenge - You're Some Bunny Special

Happy Tuesday!

Just this month Craftin' Desert Divas started a new social media challenge.  So of course I thought I'd play along.  The challenge was to use a pastel color palette.  I think my bunny in her tutti frutti tutu is perfect for this challenge!  My little sweetie is from the Ballerina Bunnies stamp set.  I have so many cards I want to make using this adorable set - but this is my first one.

I am all about the clean and simple cards these days, so I kept the background from being too busy by using the Small Circle Burst craft die from Memory Box with no additional color.

And since I am loving the clean and simple cards, I am also sending my card to the AAA Cards Clean and Simple Challenges blog.

I have my sentiment plus a stamped image, a trio of small embellishments and a die cut.  This came together perfectly today!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Hello Spring

Happy Monday!

Seems everyone is enjoying Kristina Werner's Distress Oxide Ink Series on YouTube.  I have been totally inspired to try some combos too.

Here I blended Wilted Violet,  Picked Raspberry, and then it got iffy.  At first the top was Tattered Rose and it looked horrible.  So with nothing to lose, I blended a very light layer of Abandoned Coral on top of the Tattered Rose.  And I LOVE it!

I left the panel to dry overnight (not because I am patient - but because I had some other things I had to do!).  Then I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Center Cut Fancy Flower 6x6 stamp on top with Versamark ink.  I embossed it with white embossing powder - and the rest was just adding a sentiment and some sequins.

I hope today's bright card brings a smile to your face.  I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

A World of Thanks

Happy Sunday!

Have you seen the newest set by Hannah Schroepfer at Gina K. Designs?  It is called Wonderful World.  This was my first take on the set.

I used the new Champagne Embossing Ink for all of my stamping and even for the die cut frame.

Here is a look at this set which can be used in SO many ways!

Have a great Sunday and I'll see you again tomorrow!
