Gina K. Designs October Monthly Mix Challenge - Holiday Gift Tin

Happy Friday!

Today's card is brought to you by the October Gina K. Designs Monthly Mix Challenge.  You can read all about it right here. Karen is our hostess this month, and she has chosen the theme, Anything Except a Card.  Here is the tag for your cards: MMC102018.

The other day, Molly's new flea collar arrived and I thought I would save the tin...and voila - now I have a gift tin ready to go.  I have aired it out and it no longer smells like a cat flea collar!  I added lots of card stock and one large layered snowflake.  I truly love how it turned out!

You could win a $75 gift certificate to the Gina K. Designs online store just by linking up your creation.  That's a big prize!!  You have until the end of the month to play along, so give it a try!

See you tomorrow.

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - Hello

Happy Thursday!

Last month I discovered that Pinkfresh Studio has a monthly challenge. I entered that challenge and actually was one of the top three when they selected some favorites.  What an honor!  I am entering again with this month's challenge which is all about die cutting.

I was inspired by a video that Jennifer McGuire did highlighting the newest release.  You can see that video by clicking right here. She pretty much reinvented inlay die cutting and it made the process so much easier!  I had to give it a try.

I used the Pinkfresh Studio Hello with a Bouquet die and tried Jennifer's technique for my card.  Easy peasy!  I made another one right away in Christmas colors which I will show you very soon.

Have a creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #515 - I Like You Just Because

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  This week they are giving us a rather neutral palette which was fun to use!

The die I used is the Botanical Branch from Pinkfresh Studio.  I am not even sure why I bought this die...but I am glad I did because it is so simple and elegant and worked perfectly for this challenge.  The sentiment says I like you, so on this inside it says just because.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  Be sure to look at what the designers have shared with us.  They are one talented group!  You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

With Thanks

Happy Tuesday!

I love graphic designs with pops of color and that is what I tried to achieve today.  I was heavily inspired by this card by Kellianne at 4 Wands and Two Swords:

If you don't already follow her blog or Instagram, I would encourage you to do so.  She is an amazing artist and obviously VERY inspiring!

I feel like I may be overusing this Give Thanks set from Concord and 9th, but I just get so excited when I use their products!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

We Fit Together

Happy Monday!

I just couldn't resist sharing one more card using Rina K.'s newest stamp set, Mandala Maker.  When I look at this set, it just blows my mind.  There are SO many ways to use it!

You can use this set with the wreath builder templates or just freehand it.  Be sure to look on Pinterest to see many beautiful cards made using this set.  I love the brightness of this card as well as the sentiment.  Who wouldn't want to receive a card like this?

In case you still can't resist, you can purchase the Mandala Maker by clicking right here.

So Glad You're in my Circle

Happy Sunday!

I guess you know by now that Rina K.'s newest stamp set, Mandala Maker is the hit of the season!  Here is a look at the set:

You can use this set with the wreath builder templates or just freehand it.  There are so many beautiful examples of creativity on Pinterest, so be sure to check those out.  I used the set just a bit differently - I made a rainbow of heat embossed circles and then used markers to fill them in.  I love how this looks!

In case you can't resist, you can purchase the Mandala Maker by clicking right here.

Essentials September Challenge - Merry Christmas

Hello Saturday Friends!

Today I am sharing my card over at the Ellen Hutson September Essentials Challenge.  This time she provided a sketch for us to use.

I turned the sketch upside down because it suited my design a little bit better.  I used the Snow Flurry stamp and die set from Concord and 9th to make my huge snowflake.  I stamped everything in Red Hot and Blue Denim from Gina K. Designs.  This is one of my favorite winter color combinations.  I added the embossed sentiment from the Flora and Fauna Woodland Snowglobe set.  Sometimes it's that tiny little element that just makes the card!  I love that tiny little sentiment!

This challenge doesn't end until October 16th, so you still have a few days to play along.   To be eligible, you must use the sketch above in your project.  Then you can link up your creation using the inlinkz button on this challenge post.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Where Creativity Meats C9 Challenge #26 - I Love Fall Most of All

Hello Thursday Friends!

I still had my Yupo paper on my desk when I decided to see how Copic refills would perform on it.  I made a few pieces in warm and cool colors and then used dies from Concord and 9th to cut them out.

I may have created a monster...because I still have plenty of these leaves to make more cards!  It's sort of addicting which is fun and dangerous!

Because this month’s challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9 is to make a card with layers, I am sending this card over.  This certainly was an easy challenge for me because I love layers!

I hope your day is going wonderfully!  Please come back tomorrow because I have so many more ideas to share with you.

I Just Wanted to Say Hi

Happy Wednesday!

I jumped on the Yupo paper and alcohol inks train finally.  My very first attempt was AWFUL.  But I saved the piece anyway.  It was sitting on my desk and I wondered what would happen if I sprayed white paint on it.  So then I wondered about die cutting from it.

I grabbed the Pink Fresh Studio Floral Squares dies and started cutting.  Then I cut them again from white card stock which I colored in using Copic markers.  There are six of these floral squares in the set and I put all six together using an inlay technique.

For something that started out so hideous, I think it turned out great.  I am totally in love with this card now!  Isn't that just the way it goes sometimes?

See you tomorrow!

Thank You for Everything

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Have I mentioned I am in love with the Autumn Wreath from Pretty Pink Posh?  I have stamped and colored this bad boy so many times and just need to make cards now (before autumn runs out!!)

I stamped with a rainbow of colors and then restamped the entire wreath with Versamark ink so I could clear emboss the images.  Then I colored in all the elements using Copic markers.  I also sprayed the entire wreath with some shimmer spray - because, well - shimmer spray!

The little bunny and sentiment are from Hello Bluebird.  I promised you'd be seeing cute images like this again!

I used rainbow paper from Lawn Fawn for my background and I love how it all turned out!

See you again tomorrow.

You Make Life Sweeter

Happy Monday!

I am bringing out an older stamp and die set from MFT Stamps.  I am almost sure it is retired.  I wondered if I could make a shaker card using the dies from this set.  And guess what?  It worked!!

But better still is sending it to my friend who loves purple.  I hope she likes it!

See you tomorrow.

I'm So Grateful to have you in my Life

Happy Sunday!

This card represents everything I am feeling today!  We are reuniting with a family who moved away earlier this year.  We have traveled to Missouri to visit them and we couldn't be happier to see them.

So YES!  I am SOOOO grateful to have them in my life - even if sometimes there are many miles between us.

See you tomorrow!

Love and Prayers (plus a bonus card)

Hello Saturday Friends!

Have you ever owned a stamp set that just plain made you swoon?  Well this one from Gina K. Designs does the trick for me.  Here is a look at Peaceful Roses:

This set makes the most beautiful backgrounds as well as lovely stand alone images.  It is also a smaller set which makes it a bargain at $10.95.

If you are shopping for a versatile small set, this one is for you!

And here is a bonus card for you today.  I was supposed to be packing for a trip, but I made this card instead!  Ooooooops!!!!  By the way, everything I used today is from Gina K. Designs.

See you again tomorrow.

Happy Fall!

Happy Friday!

I hope I didn't shock your eyeballs too much with all this brightness!

I discovered this leaf background stamp from Craftin' Desert Divas and had to buy it.  I knew it could become a rainbow of leaves and I just needed to try to make that happen.  I heat embossed the background in black and then used Copic markers to color everything in.

I wasn't sure how I would use this background until I found this sweet little fox that I had already colored and die cut.  I just love how the colors work together!  The fox and the sentiment are from Hello Bluebird.  I have colored all the images from the set already, so look for more of these cuties very soon on different cards!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #513 - Happy Birthday

Hello Thursday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  Last night we celebrated the birthday of one of our dearest friends and she loves blue, so this color combo came in handy!!

My card uses all stamps and dies from Concord and 9th.  I could probably stamp for 3 months straight and not use all of my C9 stamps!!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  Not only has the design team made some lovely samples, but you can also see what others just like you and me have added to the site.  You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Gina K. Designs September Release Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome Back Tuesday Friends!

We started this fun yesterday and we will be continuing it today AND tomorrow!  I hope you are excited to see the next two sets in action!

First up today is a beautiful set from Theresa Momber, who is a fantastic illustrator.  It is called Rustic Autumn and it might be one of my all time favorite Theresa sets!  Take a look:

EVERYTHING in this set excites me!  Here I combined the pumpkins and leaves for a graphic look.  Below this card are the two I shared at the release party. It is seriously an awesome stamp set!

Next up is a very versatile set designed by Lisa Hetrick.  It is called Something Good.   Her eclectic style appeals to me every time!  Truly I can see myself using this set forever!

I selected some autumn colors to make this one layer card.  These stamps just lend themselves to so many different types of cards.  Below this one are the two I showed at the release party.

Gina K. Designs September Release Blog Hop - Day 1

Happy Monday!

It's the very first day of our September Release Blog Hop.  We are going to party on for three full days.  You will want to stop by each blog each day and leave some love.  Gina will choose a person from each day's comments and he/she will win a $50 gift card to the Gina K. shop.  That's three chances to win!

First up today is the ultra talented Melanie Muenchinger.  She is bringing us the Men of Faith stamp set.  It coordinates beautifully with her previously released Women of Faith set.  The amount of sentiments is mind blowing!  You will be stamping for days!!

I think it is so great to have a set for masculine cards now! I love simple designs, so here is my take on the set:

The next set I want to show you is called Mandala Maker which was illustrated by Rina Krupsky - the very talented and hilarious daughter of Gina K.  Once you start playing with this set, you truly won't want to stop.  Both Rina and Jennifer McGuire have done great videos using this set.  I've linked each name to her YouTube video.  And here is a look at Mandala Maker:

This is one of the cards I made with the set.  I seriously have so many more to share with you!  I incorporated our new incentive stamp set (Perfect Blend) into this card so I could share it with you as well.

I know you have found lots of inspiration as you've journeyed through all the blogs.  But remember - there is more coming tomorrow and Wednesday!  Be sure to comment all along the blog hop stops.  You could be a $50 gift card winner by visiting and commenting on each designer's post.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #37 - Be Merry

Hello Sunday Friends!

I am sending this card over to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog.  The challenge this time is to use something old and something new.  I pulled out one of my oldest Lawn Fawn sets called Peace, Joy, Love and paired it with one of my newest sets called Say What Christmas Critters.

I don't usually make as busy a card as this, but I was also trying to sneak in my day three homework for my Color Theory class at Online Card Classes!

https://www.onlinecardclasses.com/

On day three, we learned about split complementary color combinations.  I chose red and green and then the split complementary colors are on either side of the green - yellow green and blue green.  I have really gained so much from this little three day course!

I will be back tomorrow.  See you then!

Online Card Classes Homework Day 2 - Happy Fall

Happy Saturday!

This is my homework for day two of the Color Theory class from Online Card Classes.  Our challenge was to use analogous colors (colors next to each other) on the color wheel.  I used liquid watercolors from Taylored Expressions for my red, red-violet and violet colors.  I just painted a piece of  heat embossed watercolor paper with the three hues and then cut them out using a die from Reverse Confetti.  I cut an additional die cut from white card stock and inlaid all of my colored pieces.

Then I colored this Autumn Wreath from Pretty Pink Posh in colors I thought would go well with my background.

I am loving this class and learning so much!  Maybe you would like it too!

https://www.onlinecardclasses.com/

Have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow...with another round of homework to share.
