Your Strength is Inspiring

Happy Friday!

The other day my husband asked me to make a card for someone who had really inspired him during this current crisis. I was MORE than happy to do it because I truly understand how a handmade card can encourage a person.

I pulled out the LiteBrite Flowers stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and added some fun sparkle using iZink Diamond Glitter Paint in pink and purple. This card is simple in style, but still sassy and sparkly!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

So Grateful for You

Happy Thursday!

Sometimes I look at a layering stamp and think...'I'm just not feeling it today.' That's what happened here. So I stamped the outline of the flowers and leaves in black and then offset the interior colors. I do plan to use this Altenew set as it was designed, just not today! I think this looks sort of whimsical!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Color Throwdown Challenge #586 - Happy Easter

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes pink, purple and white.

I used two spring stamp sets from Pretty Pink Posh to make my card and just a few Copic markers. I had some false starts, but after a few attempts I like the outcome!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. The design team has some wonderful samples for us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Altenew March Inspiration Challenge - Bloom

Happy Tuesday!

Today I am sending my card over to thAltenew March Inspiration Challenge. I used the brand new Bloom and Bud stamp set to make my flowers. Layering stamps are always hard for me, but I persisted until I got these right. I used my Scan n Cut to cut them out.

Here is our inspiration challenge board:

There is still some time to join in the fun at Altenew because this challenge doesn't end until March 31, 2020. Play along if you can...there are prizes you know!

See you tomorrow!

I Love You Like Family

Happy Monday!

Here we are - another week of social distancing ahead of us. But I think the key is staying positive and having faith in God. He is not surprised by any of this. I believe He will bring us safely through this in time.

Until then we can share pretty cards and great sentiments - like I love you like family. Isn't that terrific? This stamp set is from an Altenew class I took last month. It is a mini set and I'm not sure it will be for sale. I so love the stencil-like flowers - they look so graphic to me.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

I Miss You

Happy Sunday!

Now that we are all social distancing, I guess we will need more cards like this. As luck would have it, Picket Fence Studios created this I Miss You word die to help us all out! I also used this great Current of Fish stencil and Paper Glaze to make my card.

Three cheers for missing you cards. We all need them now!

You Deserve Good Things

Happy Friday!

I made a bunch of these backgrounds using the Rose Wonderland Print stamp set from The Ton for future use. Then last night when I was cleaning up I spotted this little doggie. I do not own this stamp set; the image was part of a little thank you card from Ellen Hutson. He was already colored!  I just darkened up his sweater to coordinate with my background and then used my Scan n Cut to cut him out.

I am still on a mission to send uplifting cards during this crazy time and I already have a plan for this one.

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - The Smallest Things Warm the Heart

Happy Thursday!

I am sending this card over to Pinkfresh Studio for their March challenge which is based on this color palette and the theme "Frame It".

Here is our inspiration board for the month:

I used an older die for my project - Floral Squares. It seems to be sold out at the moment, but if it comes back, you will want to grab it because it is such a versatile set. And let me just say that I would have never selected these colors to work together...and that's the best part of color challenges!

I'll be back tomorrow so I'll see you then.

Color Throwdown Challenge #585 - One Kind Word...

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes teal, coral, green and cream.

I used the Rose Wonderland Print stamp from The Ton to make my card. This stamp set has a third layer which fills in the white space on the roses, but I like it with just the two layers.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. The design team has some wonderful samples for us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

You are Loved

Happy Tuesday!

Today Altenew released a huge number of stamps, dies, masks and papers. I was lucky enough to attend an Altenew class a few weeks ago and they were so very generous. They actually gave us some product from this new release.

Take a look at all of the new product:

The stamp set I used from this release is called Line Art and of all the products here, it is one I would have purchased for sure! Take a look at the set:

It has matching dies as well which makes it a very versatile combo! If you would like to take a look or shop the new release, you can click right here. At no cost to you, using this link earns me a small commission for which I am very appreciative.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Jesus Loves You

Hello Monday Friends!

Today is my day on the Picket Fence Studios blog and I am featuring the Sleeping Baby stamp and die set. This image pulls right on all of my grandma heart strings. This is one of my favorite stages of childhood. I could watch my grandchildren sleep for hours!'

Here is a look at this sweet stamp and die combination:

I also used the Basketweave stencil for my background. I think it made a lovely ink blended blanket for this baby angel.

I hope you liked today's card. I certainly loved making it and sharing it with you. You can see these items plus so much more by visiting Picket Fence Studios today.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Celebrate - Happy Birthday to You

Happy Sunday!

Get your sunglasses out because today I am using Electro Pop Inks from Gina K. Designs. I stamped an entire turnabout panel using the Blooms stamp set from Concord and 9th but I wanted to do something more unique than a card panel.

I noticed this Starburst Die from Avery Elle in my stash and decided to give it a try. I love the way it accentuates the brightness of the stamping.

I hope you have a marvelous day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

LIVE from Picket Fence Studios - Our March Release

Happy Saturday!

It's time again to share projects from the brand new Picket Fence Studios March Release...and I think you are going to love what we have for you. If you need to rush over and see what's new you can click right here.

But if you are still here, let me share a few cards with you. The brand new Mermaid Scales stencil was meant for our new Paper Glaze. I mixed Snowdrop White in with the Leaf Green for a very soft green and then mixed the Snowdrop White with the Agapantha Purple for a lavender shade. This glaze is just so much fun! For the images on my card I used the Things on the Sea Floor stamp set as well as the Swim in the Sea stamps and dies. This card just makes me want to travel to the ocean!

Next up I used the On a Seahorse's Dreams stamp set and my blending brushes. I am pretty much obsessed with rainbows so that's the direction I went on this card. Who can resist seahorses and rainbows? I know I can't!

One last item before I go...have you seen our new Stamp Scrubber? This guy is amazing! With water or stamp cleaner, this marvel gets your stamps super clean with just a swipe. You can find it in our store as well.

I do hope you will run over to the Picket Fence Studios page to see all of the new stamps, stencils and dies. If you would like to see the entire release, you can click right here.

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

This is just a little tease from last month's Picket Fence Studios release. This sentiment is how I feel about so many of my friends. We just pick up where we left off no matter how much time has passed. I love that!

Now tomorrow be sure to come back because I will have two cards for you from our brand new and oh so fun March 2020 release.

See you then!

Color Throwdown Challenge #584 - With Deepest Sympathy

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes two beautiful shades of green plus black and white.

I used the Palm Close Up stamp from The Ton to make my card. I just returned from a terrific retreat hosted by The Ton and this is one of the stamps I bought while I was there.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to look at what the design team has for us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Happy Easter

Happy Tuesday!

My little bunnies from Taylored Expressions are getting a workout this year! I am still creating with the ones I cut out with my Scan n Cut last week. This time I added them to three stenciled squares and then added a sentiment from The Greetery.

I am having a great time making Easter cards this year. It's probably one of my favorite holidays!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Love You

Happy Monday!

Here is my second card using the Concord and 9th Blooms Turnabout.  Presently I am in love with Gina K. Designs' Blue Denim ink so I knew I needed to use it again. This time I added some Wild Dandelion, Lucky Clover and Key Lime inks to the mix.

Gotta love a bright and cheerful card...especially one that says LOVE YOU. Right?

Have the best day ever and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Be the Rainbow in Someone Else's Cloudy Sky

I do hope you like rainbows...because I have more coming your way!

Until tomorrow...

Happy Anniversary

Happy Friday!

This is the second time I've used the Olive Branch stamp from Technique Junkies. Instead of stamping it and leaving it as one color, I tried my hand at no line coloring for the olives. I absolutely love how it turned out.

I am not very good at no line coloring, so I just left this on my desk and would color an olive or two each day. This seemed to work for me!

Have a fun day - filled with lots of stamping! I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Thanks

Happy Thursday!

A big thank you to Concord and 9th for making this wonderful turnabout stamp set. I sat down and made 5 or 6 of them one evening and now am busy making them into cards. The set is called Blooms Turnabout and it is becoming a favorite. I think it is the simplicity of the flowers that I love.

I paired the background with another simple sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. No need for anything additional to finish up this card!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes pink, orange and blue.

My card is made with all new products from Pinkfresh Studio. This is one of my very favorite companies and I am always happy when they release new products!

You are So Loved

Happy Tuesday!

I ordered a few items from Taylored Expressions recently and I could hardly wait to jump right in.

The grid is one of her background stamps and I swear, I could use it on every card from now until forever. I LOVE graphic stamps! The bunny is also a new favorite. It is also a background stamp, but I used my Scan n Cut to cut a few of these cuties. She has a die, but it was out of stock when I ordered. The sentiment is also from Taylored Expressions and I love it!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Look for the Rainbows

Happy Monday!

Time for more rainbows from the Be the Rainbow set at Gina K. Designs. I don't see myself not using this set any time soon. I love EVERYTHING about it. I hope that's OK with you!

This card was one of those 10 minute cards that I rarely make. Three little blended squares, three rainbows, three enamel dots and a sentiment. AND done!

Have a wonderful day filled with love and rainbows and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Thank You Coffee

I laughed out loud at myself when I was putting these sentiments together. I have friends and family who HAVE to have their coffee first thing or the rest of us are not safe. Me? Nope. I just need my Diet Coke (in exactly the same way)!!

All of my products are from Picket Fence Studios today. Click right here if you want to take a look or shop.

With Love

Happy Saturday!

I know peacocks are not this color in real life...but in pretend life, they CAN be any color at all. And with the Picket Fence Studios Peacock Beauty die... you too can have any color peacock you want.

After I cut the die from ink blended card stock, I snipped here and there to release the peacock from its surrounding leaves. Then I used my Scan 'n Cut to trace it and make a mat for it from some sparkly black paper. All there was left to do was to glue the two pieces together.

I made a card base from the same ink colors and then cut an interior mat from the same sparkly card stock.

Here is a picture of this beautiful die:

You can find this die and many other beautiful products by clicking right here. Happy shopping!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Crafters Gonna Craft

Happy Friday!

So here I am again with another very simple card. I used a home made stencil to blend three squares with a very subtle pink ink from Pinkfresh Studio and then added some images from the Craftiness is Happiness stamp set from Taylored Expressions.

I really don't have much more to say about this one except I plan to send it off to a crafty friend today!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!
