Altenew January Inspiration Challenge - Hello

Happy Friday!

Today I am sending my card over to thAltenew January Inspiration Challenge. I used the Best Mom stamp set for my card today. My sentiment is from the Half Tone Hello stamp and die set. It is an older set, but new to my crafty stash.

Here is our inspiration challenge board:

There is still some time to join in the fun at Altenew because this challenge doesn't end until January 31, 2020. Play along if you can...there are prizes you know!

See you tomorrow!

Pucker Up

Happy Thursday!

I probably should have warned you to get your sunglasses out for this card. I usually don't do such bold and bright color, but I was in a bold and bright mood for this one!

This stamp and die set is available at Picket Fence Studios now and is just part of our HUGE release. Be sure to run by and take a look!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Color Throwdown Challenge #577 - Adventure Time - Let's Go!

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. It is based on this inspiration photo which includes navy, pink and green.

I rarely do any scene building, but I thought I would give it a try using the Christmas Care-a-Van stamp and die set from The Greetery. I used dies from Taylored Expressions for my roadway and hills. I made the clouds with a stencil from MFT Stamps which I've had it forever, but this is the first time I've attempted clouds. I sort of love how it all came together!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to take a look at the fun projects from the design team! You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - Cheering You On

Happy Tuesday!

I am sending this card over to Pinkfresh Studio for their January challenge which is a 2019 Year in Review type challenge. We could select any month for inspiration. More on that in a moment...

Here is our inspiration board for the month:

I chose this palette with the Mix and Match theme:

I used two different stamp sets for my card - Skating Bunnies and Playful Animal Friends 1. I love how I was able to blend the background to incorporate some of the palette colors and then add in my sentiment from the second set.

I'll be back tomorrow and I hope you will visit me again then!

It's Time to Celebrate You

Happy Monday!

I am so over the moon about this die. I cut it from black card stock and colored in the little spaces onto white card stock. I wouldn't want you to see that piece of paper because it looks like a hot mess. But once the black die cut is placed over it...voila! A beautiful peacock emerges!

The final touch was spritzing the whole card front with shimmer spray. I absolutely love how it makes the card (and peacock) sparkle!

Here's a look at the die I used:

You can see the entire new release from Picket Fence Studios by clicking on the link. We would love for you to come visit and take a look!

I'll see you again tomorrow!

The January Picket Fence Studio Release is Live!

Happy Saturday!

Usually our release date for Picket Fence Studios is on the 14th of every month. But we held off until today as this release is also premiering at the 2020 Creativation trade show. It is live now and you are going to love this HUGE release.

My first card uses two of my favorite new items: the Eiko Girl stamp and die set along with the Artsy Sun stencil. Of course I used our fantastic blender brushes to get that cool affect. I colored my girl using Copic markers and I can't believe how pretty her face is!

Once again I used the Artsy Sun stencil on my background. Then I stamped the shoes and the sentiment. I colored the shoes with Copic markers and was amazed by how easy it was because of the detail in the stamp. This stamp set is called Walk, Crawl or Run. I can't wait to use more colors on these shoes - maybe even rainbow shoes! Be still my heart.

One last item before I go...have you seen our new Stamp Scrubber? This guy is amazing! With water or stamp cleaner, this marvel gets your stamps super clean with just a swipe. You can find it in our store as well.

I do hope you will run over to the Picket Fence Studios page to see all of the new stamps, stencils and dies. If you would like to see the entire release, you can click right here. I want to show you even more samples from this release, so I will be posting samples right here for the next few days. Also, follow us on Facebook and YouTube for all the latest Creativation news.

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Hello Sweet Little Girl

Happy Friday!

I purchased this stamp set at least 2 years ago...maybe longer. I have no idea why I hadn't stamped out this precious bunny sooner. But better late than never. I am sending it off in the mail to one of my sweet granddaughters along with some fun stamps for her to play with.

The stamp set is called Heaven Sent and has matching dies as well.  Here's a look:

I hope you have a creative day. I will be back tomorrow and hope to see you then.

Welcome Little One

Happy Thursday!

I still had the Altenew Big World die on my desk, so I cut another gold stand with the intention of using patterned paper for the globe. I had seen Lydia from Altenew do this and I just fell in love with it.

I had made this threaded background a while back and was just waiting for the perfect time to use it and I think this was it. I hope this feminine little card will bless someone soon!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #576 - To Brighten Your Day

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. It is based on this inspiration photo which includes navy, teal and mustard yellow.

I really struggled with the colors this time. The first card I made was one big mishmash of ugly. I kept thinking about it and just knew I couldn't use it. It was awful! So this card was born. I used the desk lamp stamp and die from Taylored Expressions and then searched high and low for the perfect sentiment which I found at The Greetery. Whew! My final step was stenciling the background with some navy ink from Gina K. Designs.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to take a look at the fun projects from the design team! You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Heaven Sent

Happy Tuesday!

My card today is a very simple one, but I absolutely love it. I actually used a piece of patterned paper from my very small stash. I hadn't done that in quite a while.

The globe is a die from Altenew called Big World. There is a stamp set too, but I didn't use it this time. The galaxy is cut from a leftover piece of a larger galaxy background. I usually don't save scraps, but I am glad I did this time. I added the Heaven Sent sentiment from a Honey Bee set by the same name.

This card will be off in the mail today to a new little baby boy and his parents. I hope they like it.

Have a creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

I Love You the Mostest

Hello Monday Friends!

It's two weeks into the new year and while many of us are on diets...isn't it time for just a little treat? Can you resist cake? I try, but it is mostly futile! What I can't resist at all are the fun products at Picket Fence Studios!

Luckily the Let's Decorate stamp and die sets have no calories whatsoever and neither does the Quatrefoil Bouquet stencil I used! Oh that stencil! I just love the way it looks when lightly blended with the Life Changing Blender Brushes.

I colored my stamped and die cut image using Copic markers and then stamped my sentiment from the I Love You the Mostest stamp set using black ink. I added just a few sequins to finish my card and I hope you like it.

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Let's Go Make Some Fun

Back by popular demand...my zebras.

This time they are in a big truck heading to some place fun...and to make some fun. I will seriously try not to use these guys again tomorrow.

Come back then to see if I succeed!

Lots of Love Just for You

Happy Friday!

The Stamp Market has some really cute new stamps and dies out and I just received my order from them yesterday. The truck image is called Special Delivery and I absolutely LOVE it. I can't wait to find lots of other sentiments and images to go on that truck.

The other cool think they have now are Quick Strip dies. You just have to take a look! I used them here and look how even they are! I ink blended them using the same color from my image. They have them in 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 widths. Brilliant!

I'll be back tomorrow with a new project, so I hope to see you then.

Hello Friend

Happy Thursday!

Where has this week gone???

You must forgive me for using the My Favorite Things Zippy Zebras again. I just can't help it! I also used the MFT Heap of Hellos stamp set which I can assure you will be a favorite.

I promise to use a new stamp set tomorrow. But I can't say it won't have a zebra in it. So stay tuned.
See you then!

Color Throwdown Challenge #575 - You are my Zebra

Happy Wednesday!

Here is a fun card for the second challenge of the year over at the Color Throwdown challenge. It is based on this inspiration photo which includes kraft, gold, green and white.

I've been wanting to use these My Favorite Things Zippy Zebras for a month now! Today is the day. If you need a fast card, use these guys. There is minimal coloring which for me takes the longest. I also used the MFT Hearts Entwined die cut in gold foil paper. I LOVE this design!!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to take a look at the fun projects from the design team! You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Sending Love and Hugs

Happy Tuesday!

Here's another card using products from Altenew. They make such pretty stamps and coordinating dies! Today I used the Vintage Rose Add-On stamp set to make my background. This is a very small set with only two layers for the leaves. Small but mighty!

The sentiments are from a beautiful set that Altenew sent to me as a gift. I just couldn't wait to use it right away to show my appreciation!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Crafters Gonna Craft

Happy Monday!

I decided to pair up some Altenew stamps and Washi tape with a cute paint palette die set from Simon Says Stamp. This was a super simple card to create and I love the clean lines of it. I used enamel dots for the "paints" which really made this card easy to finish up!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

You Make Life Sweeter

Happy Sunday!

I don't think my love for shaker cards will ever end - at least I hope not. No matter the stamp or die, I usually see a shaker card in its future!

This is a retired stamp and die set from MFT Stamps. I have actually sold this set to another friend, but I used it a few more times before it left home.

I hope you have a day filled with hugs and kisses and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday!

We are ready for both family birthdays now. This card is for my little granddaughter who will turn three this next week. It's hard to believe!

Illy loves all things pink and sparkly, so this design came to mind - pink and sparkly for sure! On the inside it even says "Hope Your Birthday Sparkles." What a find!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Hope Your Birthday is Sub-Lime

Happy Friday!

If you are like me, you are ready to get back into the swing of things. And at our house that means lots of January birthdays! We have two this weekend, so I am getting a jump on those cards today.

This card is for my brother in law who turns 80 tomorrow. I find it hard to make masculine cards, but he is a great cook, so I went with a food themed card. The set is called Squeeze the Day and is from Ellen Hutson. It's an older set, but I love fruit stamps so I keep them all at the ready.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

I'm Here for the Cake

Happy Thursday!

At least I THINK it's Thursday!

Yesterday I shared some candy and today I'm all about the cake. It seems like this is a continuation of how the holidays influenced my eating!

I used products from Picket Fence Studios to make this card. I am loving masking and stenciling lately along with plenty of ink blending.

Not sure what's coming to the blog tomorrow as I've been busy cleaning and organizing, but I promise it will be worth the wait! See you tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #574 - Sweet Wishes

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my first card for 2020 and I am excited to send it over to the Color Throwdown challenge based on this inspiration photo which includes red, brown and white.

First I need to say that photographing foil card stock is so hard - which is why my picture is not so great...but I promise that is a red candy jar! I thought perhaps we haven't had enough sugary treats yet, so I'm sending you a jar full of sweet hearts.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to take a look at the great projects from the design team! You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

For a Deer Friend

Happy Tuesday!

I'm not ready to give up my winter stamps just yet. I think there is still plenty of winter left.

I used stamps and dies from MFT Stamps and Wplus9 to make this fun card. I'll be giving it to a sweet friend who blessed our family this past Christmas.

I hope you have an extra wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow - as in 2020!!

Here is our inspiration challenge board:

With Sympathy

Happy Sunday!

We all need sympathy cards now and then. It's just a fact of life. So why not make some ahead of time and make them pretty too? That's what I did a while back. This is my very last one, so I need to make more in a new design I think.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

I Fish You Were Here

Happy Saturday!

Picket Fence Studios has such fresh and trendy products. This set is called One Year Older and has birthday sentiments. But this time I used it as a missing you card.

Being able to stretch our stamps is one reason I love this company. I can mix and match so many of their beautiful sets!

I'll be back again tomorrow and I'll see you then.
