Wishing You a Sparkling Holiday

Happy Thursday!

I hope you are ready for a bit (a lot) of sparkle!

Today's card is my day 2 homework for the Online Card Classes Clean and Simple Holiday class that is going on right now.

Day 2 was about die cutting. This card was so simple because I just die cut the reindeer from the black card stock and placed the buffalo check paper underneath it.  Quick and easy-peasy!

I went old school on the dots and pulled out some circle punches.  I added lots of the small, medium and large dots to resemble snow.  I finished my card with a sweet little sentiment.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

A Bird Sings Because It Has a Song

Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I shared some sweet little cartoon-like birds, but today I have a much more realistic one for you!  This is a tufted tit mouse.  Icky name for a beautiful bird!

Here is the stamp set designed by Alicia Krupskaya called Winter Birds.  It is part of the newest release from Gina K. Designs.  There are matching dies available as well.

I am no expert when it comes to Copic coloring, but I was intent on trying to color this guy.  I searched Google images and found quite a few that helped me with the coloring and shading.  I tried coloring him a second time, but this one proved to be the better of the two.

Enjoy your day and come on back to visit again tomorrow!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #40 - Season's Tweetings

Happy Monday!

I am sending this card over to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog.  The challenge this time is a color challenge.  The design team wants us to use colors found in the Really Rainbow-Christmas paper line.  I don't have that particular paper, but I did have fun trying to duplicate the colors with a very sweet older Lawn Fawn set called Winter Sparrows.

In case you are curious, here is the paper pack used in the inspiration challenge:

If you love Lawn Fawn (like I sure do), you can play along with this challenge.  Be sure to look at all the beautiful projects from the design team.  You can't help but be inspired!

See you again tomorrow!

Thanks So Very Much

Happy Sunday!

As you know I am so enamored with the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder sets.  This card uses the Autumn Wreath Builder stamp set.

I fancied it up with just a little Copic coloring to add some dimension to the blue pumpkins and the green leaves and I love the look of it.  Sometimes just a tiny bit of extra effort can make a big difference!

Have a terrific Sunday and I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share.  See you then!

Life Is Something Good Every Day

Happy Saturday!

Yesterday I was listening to a sermon by Levi Lusko and something REALLY stood out for me.  He said you can't have a positive life with negative thoughts.

WOW!  It is so true.  I have worked really hard on eliminating negativity from my life.  But lately it has crept back in.  A few days ago I recognized its reappearance and decided to take action.  So hearing Levi's sermon really brought it home for me.

So that's my message to you today.  What you look for, you will find.  Find positive things.  The more you set your mind on the positive, the more positive you will feel and experience!

Life IS something good every day!

Altenew November Inspiration Challenge - Season's Greetings

Hello Friday Friends!

It's time for the November Altenew Inspiration Challenge. These colors are just so beautiful together!  I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card, so I used the Bountiful Branch stamp set to fashion a loose wreath.  This is one of the easiest layering stamp sets I've ever used and I love the results.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Congratulations on Your New Baby

Hello Thursday Friends!

Did you enjoy the new release blog hop earlier in the week?  Gina K. Designs just keeps knocking it out of the park with her beautiful stamps and dies!  And you still have some time to comment on the hop posts to secure your chance at a $50 gift card to Gina K. Designs.

This new set called Reasons to Celebrate works perfectly with the Wreath Builder System.  That is how I fashioned my card today.  But it is also a great support set for other larger image sets.  Here is a look at this set and all the other Wreath Builder sets too:

Reasons to Celebrate

Mandala Maker

Holiday Wreath Builder

Autumn Wreath Builder

Original Wreath Builder Bundle

I'm not saying you NEED all of these sets, but I am here to tell you that there are endless possibilities when it comes to mixing these stamp sets together!  And that's one of the best things about a system like this one!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #518 - Wishing You a Sparkling Holiday

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. I know this color scheme should remind me of fall, and I guess it does.  But I still wanted to make an out of the box colored Christmas card.

I selected the Triangle Trees stamp (and die) set from Reverse Confetti for my card.  I am a sucker for geometric shapes.  I used Caribbean Sky, Sunkissed, and Paper Bag inks from Altenew and beautiful card stock from Gina K. Designs.  Even though I love Jesus with all my heart, I like off the wall Christmas cards.  Give me trees, Santas and reindeer and I will make fun cards!!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  The designers always have great inspiration for us, so be sure to take a look.  You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Faithful in the Storm

Hello Sunday Friends!

Melanie Muenchinger from Gina K. Designs illustrated a beautiful set called Men of Faith a few months ago.  I have to say this reminds me of my husband who, during the storms in our life has remained a faithful man of God.  Our family relies on him as he withstands the tests of faith.

I am one lucky girl.  He is my treasure.

See you tomorrow for day one of our blog hop with Gina's newest release.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #39 - Small Holiday Tags

Hello Saturday Friends!

I am sending this card over to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog.  The challenge this time is to bling it out.  What a super fun challenge.  I used glitter paper to bling out some precious Lawn Fawn tags adorned with sweet little winter critters.  I decided to make them shaker tags so I could add even more bling with sequins.

This challenge is almost over, but there will be another one very soon.  So plan on joining in #40.  I know I'll be there and I hope you will be too.

See you again tomorrow!

Fall Family Tags

Hello Friday Friends!

I always like to send cards to each of my children's families for every holiday.  Of course I sent Halloween cards, but I also managed to sneak these tags in too earlier in the month.

I had some stamped tags left over from a class we taught at an assisted living, so I decided to stamp each family member's name and then add a nice saying.  That's thirteen kids and 10 adults.  My fingers were covered in ink by the time I stamped all the names!

I hope the kids will always remember that their grandma loves them.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #517 - You're on my Mind

Happy Thursday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. When I saw this color combination, I knew instantly what stamp set I would use:

I had not used the Mod Birds from MFT Stamps yet.  I know I am late to the party on this one and now I wish I had purchased it sooner!  This is the absolute cutest set they have ever made!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  I love all the inspiration from the designers.  And then during the week it's fun to see what other card makers are posting too!  You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Happy Haunting

Hello Tuesday Friends!

At our house, we don't do much for Halloween, except buy candy and wait for trick or treaters.  We don't get too many, so we always buy candy that we want to eat!!  But we do have a bunch of grandkids - so Halloween cards are a must.  Today and tomorrow I'll show you the ones I made this year.

I created a galaxy background with some distress oxides and a paint pen.  I added flat gold circle stickers and I love how they made the background sparkle.  The dies are from the September Spellbinders Small Die of the Month club.  I cut out the cat and bat from glitter paper and tucked them into my galaxy. I stamped "happy" and then die cut the sparkly "haunting" and adhered it below.

I made four of these and have already mailed them.  I'll show you the fifth card I made tomorrow!

See you then!

Altenew October Inspiration Challenge - With Deepest Sympathy

Hello Monday Friends!

It's time for the October Altenew Inspiration Challenge. The brown, orange and yellow combined to make a really sweet card.  I just love the Leaf Canopy stamp set that I used today.  I have the dies as well, but I only used the stamps this time.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!
