Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge #25 - I Seriously Cannot Thank You Enough

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this month's Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge.  This month we have a color challenge and they have selected a beautiful fall palette.

I was excited to use the brand new Cozy Christmas stamp set. I chose inks from Gina K. Designs for today's card.  The large sentiment is from the Seriously Thank You set from Concord and 9th.

I can hardly wait to use the Cozy Christmas set again.  I have the dies also and there are so many possibilities!

Be sure to check out this challenge and add your own creation to the mix. Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Wishing You Peace

Hello Monday Friends,

Our Fort Worth police officers have suffered a terrible loss in the death of one of their one - Officer Garrett Hull.  He was killed in the line of duty at the hands of known criminals.

All we can do is wish his family and friends peace.  He was loved by so many, a faithful husband, loving father, committed Christian, and brother to our men in blue.  Today we grieve.

You've Been on my Mind

Hello Saturday Friends!

With the Gina K. Designs newest release coming in just a few weeks (09-27), I thought I'd share a card I made with a current stamp set.  This bold flower is from the Grand Garden stamp set which was designed by Alicia Krupsky.  Here is a look at this gorgeous set:

I have to say that the sentiments in this set are so beautifully drawn and are the perfect size to make a statement.  Basically, I love everything about this stamp set!!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Hello Friend

Happy Friday!

Concord and 9th is the star of today's show.  I used the Shiplap Sentiments stamp set for my black stripes and my HELLO sentiment.  I love shiplap (who doesn't?) and was so excited to buy this set.  I plan on using it many more times!

The blue embellishments are both from My Favorite Things.  They were items I had premade and were waiting for just the right card.

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Essentials August Challenge - Joy to the World

Hello Thursday Friends!

Today I am sharing my card over at the Ellen Hutson August Essentials Challenge.  Instead of her usual color inspiration challenge, this time we are to share projects using alcohol inks.

I've gone on record before about not getting messy.  And I stand by that.  But I have seen so many fun backgrounds made with alcohol inks, I decided to give it my best shot.  I managed to make two backgrounds using similar colors.  I used part of one background to cut out my J O Y letters which I popped up using craft foam. I love how they look on my card.  I really wanted to dress up my card, so I inlaid gold glitter and gold mirror paper foliage onto a white background.  From there I just kept adding more and more sparkle until I just couldn't add any more!

This challenge doesn't end until September 18th, so you still have some time to play along.  To be eligible, you must use alcohol inks in your project.  Then you can link up your creation using the inlinkz button on this challenge post.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #510 - With Thanks

Hello Wednesday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  I knew instantly I wanted to stamp fall leaves in these rich and beautiful colors.

Here is the inspiration photo:

I used the Give Thanks stamp set from Concord and 9th and inks from Gina K. Designs to make my card.  The first time I tried this I used regular card stock and I realized quickly that I needed watercolor paper because I was trying to blend colors and also add water to each stamp.  So this was take two using Strathmore watercolor paper instead of card stock.  Worked like a charm!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  You won't believe the beautiful samples the design team has created to share with us.  You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I used the Thanks a Bushel stamp set for my apples (4 different colors) and made a reveal wheel card.  I masked off stripes on the front and blended inks to make beautiful fall shades.

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see all the fun inspiration for this challenge.  You will be amazed at all the cards there to spark your imagination!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

I used images from the brand new Joy of the Season stamp and die set available in limited quantities from Simon Says Stamp.  Of course it was designed by the super talented Gina K.  Take a look:

I hope you will take a look at all the STAMPtember goodness.  It's a month long celebration...but this set is limited to present stock on hand.

You're so Sweet

Happy Thursday!

While I still had the Avery Elle Sweetest stamp set on my desk, I decided to color up this image.  I wanted to keep everything very simple, so I just popped it up on some white card stock which I had embossed.  I added ink to the embossing to add just a bit of color to the background.

Thanks for dropping by today.  See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday!

Or is it Monday?  Or Wednesday?  Holiday weeks are always so confusing!

Anyway, today's card is a sweet little happy birthday card in just two colors.  The stamp set I used is from Pinkfresh Studio and is called Playful Animal Friends 2.  This is an older set and there are so many images in it.  I bet I could make twenty different cards and still find more images to use!

I think I am going to keep this set on my desk and see what else I can create with it.  Stay tuned!

See you tomorrow!

Gina K. Designs August Release Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome Friday Friends!

We have moved forward to day two of our August Release Blog Hop.  Thank you for coming back to visit us!

The first set I want to show you is the one everyone has been waiting for.  It is the Holiday Wreath Builder stamp set.  And boy is it ever perfect for winter time wreaths!

I thought it would be fun to use colors that remind me of the late 50s and early 60s.  This is how I put that idea to work and I am wondering if I should have added in a bit more of the turquoise!

Next up is our incentive stamp set which is called Skeleton Leaves.  I'm not certain, but I think this is the best incentive set Gina has ever offered!  Even as I am typing this, I want to jump up and stamp some leaves.  I mean RIGHT NOW!!!

Here is the card I fashioned using this set.  I just can't get enough of those skeleton leaves!

I hope you have enjoyed all the inspiration you found during these past two days.  There is always more at StampTV in case you didn't get enough this week!  Be sure to comment all along the blog hop stops.  You could be a $50 gift card winner by visiting and commenting on each designer's post

Gina K. Designs August Release Blog Hop - Day 1

Happy Thursday!

Here we are on the first day of our two day August Release Blog Hop.  Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you have enjoyed all the stops along the way.

The first set I want to show you is called Whimsical Wildflowers which was illustrated by Hannah Schroepfer.  She is one talented gal!  Dies are included in this bundle and you will marvel at your own creativity once you start working with these gorgeous flowers and sentiments.

I wanted a fall vibe for my card, so I started with GKD Kraft card stock.  The color choices were easy after that.  I love the yellow and green with the sparkly copper flower centers.  This card was a snap to make and I think the sentiment is just so inspirational.

Next we have an equally beautiful set called Thankful and Blessed.  It was designed by Emily Loggans.  Emily's hand drawn sentiments just knock my socks off!  The detail is amazing and they stamp like a dream.  And who doesn't need a pumpkin spice sentiment????

Here is the card I made using Emily's newest set along with the gorgeous Autumn Wreath Builder stamp set which was released earlier this year:

I know you have found lots of inspiration as you've journeyed through all the blogs.  But remember - there's more coming tomorrow!  Be sure to comment all along the blog hop stops.  You could be a $50 gift card winner by visiting and commenting on each designer's post.
