Greetings From Cape Cod

Happy Friday!

My friend Jenn Shurkus announced that she had raised over $2800 for the small businesses of Cape Cod using the stamp set she designed for this very purpose. So all of the sets have been sold (hooray!), but I have a few more cards to share with you. Perhaps you have some similar stamps, or can just appreciate this bright rainbow of lobsters!

I ink blended some Electro Pop Neon inks onto card stock and then heat embossed all of the lobsters onto the colored areas. I used my Scan n Cut to cut out all of my fun lobsters. I also ink blended a strip of card stock with the same colors and adhered it toward the bottom of the card.

I hope you like today's card. I had so much fun making it!

See you again tomorrow.

Soaring by to Say Hi

Happy Thursday!

I used the Kite Turnabout stamp from Concord and 9th to make my background today and also the coordinating Kite Strings stamp set and Kite Builder dies for my sentiment and die cut kite. For some reason, these colors seem vintage to me and I love the look!

I have the linked the products I used for today's card below in case you are interested in seeing them close up!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #600 - Have a Beautiful Day

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes red, green, black and white.

I want to make ALL my cards with this color combo now. It has always been a go to for me and I was thrilled to see it as the challenge palette. I used stamps and dies from Concord and 9th to make my card today and I've linked the items I used below. Who knew a red, green and black rainbow could be so much fun????

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

You are my Sunshine

Happy Tuesday!

Again today I am using the beautiful stamp set Jenn Shurkus designed to help the merchants of Cape Cod.

She is donating $10 from every set sold to help local small businesses and she is very close to her goal of $2000. She is also selling cards made with this set on her website and that money will be donated as well. I plan to make a few more cards and send them to her...so I'll keep you posted on that.

If you are interested in her story, you can go to Shurkus.com to read all about it. I just love her kind and giving spirit! I think you will too.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Let the Rain Wash All the Pain of Yesterday Away

Happy Monday!

I'm here today to acknowledge that we all have storms...but isn't it grand that the sunshine and the rainbows always seem to appear again!!

On today's card I got to use so many techniques I love - heat embossing, stenciling, stamping and Copic coloring. I'd say that's a rainbow sort of day right there!

Here are the two main ingredients for today's card:

I hope you are experiencing some wonderful rainbow filled days because even the storms can yield something beautiful! You can see these products and so much more by visiting Picket Fence Studios today. I have linked the products I used below if you are in a shopping mood!

See you again tomorrow!

Welcome to Cape Cod

Happy Sunday!

Jenn Shurkus designed a beautiful stamp set to help the merchants of Cape Cod where she has lived for fifteen years. I had this card idea in my head from the moment I saw the stamp set which I have linked below.

She is donating $10 from every set sold to help her local small businesses and I love that. I know they are being hard hit with the fallout from this virus.

If you are interested in her story, you can go to Shurkus.com to read all about it. She is a kind and generous person and I've admired her for quite some time.

Have a lovely day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Celebrating With You Today

Happy Saturday!

Altenew makes some of the most unique stamps! This is one of my favorites. No coloring is involved - just stamping and that's fun sometimes. I've Copic colored this wreath before, but this time I just used all the stamps to fill in the leaves and flowers.

So just a simple wreath to celebrate you! Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

With Faith All Things are Possible

Happy Friday!

I thought I'd end the work week with a fun rainbow card. And let me tell you a secret...this is the easiest rainbow card ever. Waffleflower makes the coordinating paper for this die, so it's pretty much cut and GO. I did stack up the die x 3 for dimension, but that was the only 'fancy' part of my process!

I added the matching enamel dots and called it done once I chose a sentiment. Easy peasy for a Friday morning!

Have a rainbow filled day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Thank You for the Generosity and Kindness

Happy Thursday!

I just wanted to pop in to let you know about the big retirement sale at Picket Fence Studios. There are so many great products in this category as we make way for new stamps, dies and stencils!

Now today's card is made with the new Fruitylicous stamp set. I love this type of stamp because it can repeat left to right or top to bottom making it perfect for any size card. I white heat embossed the image and then did some fun ink blending. I could use this technique all day long!

Now pop on over to the site for this stamp set as well as all the great retirement deals. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Color Throwdown Challenge #599 - Always Take the Scenic Route

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes pink, blue, yellow and green.

I made my card today using the Oh Snap stamp and die set from Catherine Pooler. This is a really fun set because the lenses can be popped out and then popped UP! That's what I did. Super fun!!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to take a look at what the designers have for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Hey There

Happy Tuesday!

As promised here is another card using the stamps and dies from yesterday. This card though is much more feminine. I made it for a friend who has new twin girls. She is doing so remarkably well and I just want to encourage her as she walks this path.

I used the Concord and 9th Kite Strings stamp set and the Kite Builders die set again and made  a very simple, but fun girly card. The background is actually patterned paper and right at the end I added some Diamond Stickles to the hearts and bow.

I hope YOUR day is filled with lots of sparkle. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

You Tug on my Kite Strings

Happy Monday!

Today's card was actually a Father's Day card for my husband. He is the best father to our children which of course blesses this mother's heart. He is a shining example of Christ's love for his family.

My card came together with the help of A Colorful Life Designs for the background stenciling and the Concord and 9th Kite Strings stamp set and the Kite Builders die set. These kite sets have so much possibility! I am going to show you another card using this set tomorrow.

Have  terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Sunday!

With one husband, four sons and one son in law, my Father's Day plate is full! This younger generation has given us thirteen grandchildren...so how could I not be grateful?

I used my Taylored Expressions Plaid Layered stencils to make my cards. This one is for my only son in law who went to Baylor...thus Baylor colors.  I did not have a sentiment for my cards, so I just made them on my computer and printed them out.

Nothing fancy to see here, but lots of love enclosed. Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

You're Amazing - Congrats

Happy Saturday!

Will the rainbow craze ever end? Oh I hope not! I haven't had time to use all of my rainbow stamps yet! This one is the Concord and 9th Rainbow Turnabout and I love it - so easy to use.

I added the sentiment with the Fill It In Sentiment stamps from The Ton.  I just used a few enamel dots to finish my card and I love how it all came together. I hope you like it too!

Have a sparkly and rainbow-filled day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Just Because

Happy Friday!

True confession time: this was a big experiment. I saw Yana add some foiling to her stamped images and decided to try it.  Then of course I took it a step farther and die cut some of the circles I had made and popped them up.

I have no links for you today because I am unsure of whose products I used. A little of this and a little of that to be sure!

So here's my experiment. Let's see yours. I'll see you again tomorrow my friends!

All I Need is Art...

Happy Thursday!

The week is flying by and I've had considerable time to create which certainly makes me happy. I'm as gleeful as this little lady at her easel. Of course I have a cat by my side, not a dog...but that's neither here nor there!

Today's products are from the new release from Picket Fence Studios and personally, I think this gal is hard to resist! I've linked all the products I used below in case you would like to shop.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #598 - Hang in There

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this inspiration photo which includes pink, aqua, gold and white.

I inked up the Taylored Expressions Scribbled Rose background stamp and embossed it in gold. Then I stamped the flower and leaf interior images in pink and aqua. I love how simple this looks. I added the Hang in There sentiment from the Kite Strings stamp set from Concord and 9th. For the foiled circles I used Essential Glimmer Circles from Spellbinders.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to take a look at what the designers have for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

LIVE from Picket Fence Studios - Our June Release

Happy Sunday!

I am excited to share two cards with you today from the brand new Picket Fence Studios June Release. Both cards feature images that cover most of your card front. Stamp, color and mail!

The first stamp I used is called BFF Girl Gang.

How could anyone resist this image and these sentiments? And making my card was very easy.  I stamped my image and then used Copic markers to add color. The final touch was adhering the sentiment with foam tape. I plan to do one in black and white next and I can't wait to show you.

Next up I used the Cooking is Art stamp set. Here is a look:

Truth be told, I am not much of a cook, but I can totally get behind this set! Coloring was so easy and the sentiments are sheer perfection!

Be sure to visit Picket Fence Studios to see all of the new stamps, stencils and dies - and so much more! If you would like to see the entire release, you can click right here. I have also linked the products I used in case you are in a shopping mood!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

You're Sublime

Happy Saturday!

You all know I can't resist a good fruit stamp or die...but now I need to add fruit stencils to my list! This one is from A Colorful Life Designs. I will link it below for you. It is a small stencil with four lemons/limes in a column. I cut one away and just stenciled until I had my panel filled.

To finish my card I added the images from the Orange You Sweet stamp set from Concord and 9th. It is retired, but I found it for you and linked it below.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

May the Days Ahead be Filled with Sunshine and Love

Happy Friday!

I just discovered the Simon Says Stamp Instagram challenge and I am really excited to play along. June's challenge is ink blending which is just so popular now!

I've linked below the Distress Ink Colors I used - all six of them. I love the Distress Oxide inks too, but the Distress Inks are much more vibrant and that is what I wanted here. I let my ink blended panel dry overnight and then I used white embossing powder with the Center Cut Hexagon Floral background stamp. I used a few Copic markers to darken the flowers in each section.

I am in love with this stamp and am having so much fun using it. I'll show you another card I made with it in just a few days.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!
