Where Flowers Bloom, So Does Hope

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I was so inspired by Hannelie Bester's card below that I had to seek out the Silhouette cut file she used.  I must have REALLY loved her card because I saved it twice on my phone!  You can find her on Instagram (your life will never be the same) @hannelie.bester.  You can read her blog at desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.ae.  I love everything she does and find her to be such a talented gal.  Just love her!

The only change I made to the file was removing two little leaves.  I thought it worked better with that modification.  You can find this cut file at the Silhouette Store.  It is ID 119639.

Happy crafting and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Here is my card for the monthly challenge over at Pinkfresh Studio.  I love this stamp company for its creativity and innovative designs.

Have a super creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Today is Your Day

Happy Saturday!

There is just something about black and white with a small pop of color that does me in every time! I also love the graphic feel of the black and white.

I used the Today and Always stamp set designed by Lisa Hetrick for Gina K. Designs to make this card.  Here is a look at this set which can be used in so many ways:

If this set inspires you, just hold on to your hat...because Gina is releasing so many new sets on Tuesday night at 7pm and you will love them ALL!

Do All Things with Love

Happy Friday!

It's the day after Valentine's Day, but I am still thinking about love.

I used the Picket Fence Studio Sweet Dear Friend stamp set for my card today.  Even though this is a very simple card, I think it says it all!

I noticed yesterday they had a new release, so you might want to hurry on over and take a look!

See you tomorrow!

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  Grey, black and dark pink - what could be more fun than that?

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Tuesday!

I am still making valentines over here...but that's ok.  I love pink, gold and black together!  The black card stock hearts are all one piece.  It was a free design in the Silhouette Design store.  I glued it over some watercolor stripes and then it was just a matter of adding some more hearts in pink and gold.  Easy peasy!

I also used my Silhouette to cut out the sentiment.  I printed a bunch of these and have used them on quite a few of my cards this month.

I have one more valentine to show you...but you will need to wait until Thursday!

I'll see you again tomorrow.  Until then, have a great day!!!

Won't You Be my Tropical Valentine?

Hello Friday Friends!

I am heading out today to make some fun art projects with my sweet friends at a local assisted living facility.  My friend Jalayne and I go once a month to share some crafty love with them.  I usually do a card or a tag or a banner.  It's always mostly done for them, but they certainly add their flair to every project I give them!

I loaded up some glass bottles with Tropical Air Head candy and then designed my tag using that theme.  The little hula girl is a print and cut file from Silhouette which I merged with a tag.  I printed it out after tweeking it in Photoshop.  Then I cut out pages of them with my Brother Scan n Cut.

I went through some old flowers I had and managed to find enough for the tag toppers.  The little paper embellishments are die cuts from various companies.

I am looking forward to being with my friend Jalayne and also seeing my older friends at the assisted living!

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Be Mine, Valentine

Hello Thursday Friends!

I had the best time yesterday teaching some staffers from TCU to make cards.  I kitted up a simple project for them and all 11 of them put together a valentine.  Each used varying degrees of the products I supplied and each was fantastic!

My time was very limited at the event, so I could only do one project with them.  So the night before I put together these shaker tags and gave each of my new friends one.  It would have been fun to put them together during the class.  But I knew there was not enough time.

I kept the aqua and pink one for myself, but all the others went to my new friends.  It really was a fun time.

Have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #529 - Miss You

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  This challenge uses the colors in the photo below.  I absolutely love the vibrant colors for this week!!!!

Mod Birds is an older MFT set, but when I want to use bright colors I can't think of a better set!  I also used the Skinny Stripes die from Ellen Hutson.   I love the way inset stripes look on a card.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Make a Wish Upon a Star

Happy Tuesday!

I really can't get enough of the new release from Gina K. Designs.   I made this card using the All Star stamp set designed by Beth Silaika.  Take a look at all the cute stars and sentiments:

I blended three shades of Gina K. inks and then heat embossed my sentiment.  I added some dots (for stars) and some sequins to complete the scene!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

So Fill Your Heart with What's Important...

Happy Monday!

Believe it or not, this was a super quick card.  The images were so easy to color and I think adding the dots just brought it to a whole new level.

I used a new stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio called Heart and Soul.  There is a coordinating die too and I'll be using both very soon.  The sentiments in this set are so sweet.  I can see myself using them over and over!

Have a super creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - Believe in Good Things Coming

Happy Wednesday!

It's actually the last day to enter the monthly challenge at Pinkfresh Studio.  It has been a really busy month for me, but I didn't want to miss this challenge!

I selected the January 2018 colors for my card and I used the Pinkfresh Studio Itty Bitty Elements stamp set to make my card.  A few months ago, Pinkfresh Studio offered the free die set with the purchase of the stamps and I couldn't resist.  So soon I will use the stamps and dies together for another fun card.

Have a creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

It's the very first day of our January Release Blog Hop.  This is a two day hop and you will want to stop by each blog both days and leave a comment.  Gina will choose a person from each day's comments and he/she will win a $50 gift card to the Gina K. shop.  You can get some great products with a $50 gift card!

The first set I want to show you is called Open Book designed by Melanie Muenchinger

This is my take on her stamp set.  I wanted an elegant look, so I went with a gold embossed book.

Today's next set is called Today and Always designed by Lisa Hetrick.

Even though Lisa's sets are always great as flowing watercolor works of art, my style is more clean and simple.  But her sets always work for that too!
