Faith, Friends, Family

Happy Friday!

If you saw yesterday's post, you know I am showing you two different ways to use just one stamp set. The one I am using is from Gina K. Designs.  It is called Framescapes - Window of Wishes and was designed by the very talented Theresa Momber.

Here is another look at the set:

On today's card, I turned the window sill upside down and made a shelf for my flowers.  Above it I used the sentiments to make "framed wall art".  I really wanted to emphasize that this is a wall in a home, so I made wainscoting by scoring some ivory card stock and lightly drawing in the paneling marks.  I also stamped a design to make the upper part resemble wallpaper.

So...no window here, but still a friendly and homey card!

I'll be back again tomorrow, so I'll see you then!

Faith, Hope, Love

Hello Thursday Friends!

Today and tomorrow, I want to show you a few different ways you can use one stamp set.  The set I will be focusing on is from Gina K. Designs.  It is called Framescapes - Window of Wishes and was designed by Theresa Momber.

Here is a look at the set:

On my card today, I took a fairly straight forward approach to my design.  After all, it's a window, so I made a window scene.  I did have to do some masking in order to add the window sill and the curtains.  Then I had to mask just a bit more to add the flowers and the bird.

I used Copic markers to color my scene and added a sentiment in one of the panes.  I thought about paper piecing the curtains, but this time I wanted to make a one layer card.

Tomorrow, I am going to show you a more "out of the box" way to use this set.  I hope you'll  come back to check it out.  I think you will like it!!

See you then!

Essentials by Ellen March Pin Sights Challenge - Life Is Tough, but so are You

Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing my card over at the Essentials by Ellen March Pin-Sights Challenge.  I used the Rustic Botanicals stamp and die set for my card.  This was a pretty simple card, but it still took me about six attempts to color the middle flower to make it look like it is shiny with the petals bent back a bit.

Check out the current Pinterest board which serves as the inspiration for the challenge:

You still have another day to play along!  To be eligible, you MUST use Essentials by Ellen products and the current Pinterest board as inspiration.  Then you can link up your creation using the inlinkz button on this challenge post.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Thanks for Everything You Do Tags

Happy Saturday!

So many stamp sets and dies went into this one little tag making project.  But isn't that part of the fun of what we do?

I bundled up four sets of my cards as gifts recently.  They were for teachers at my grandson's preschool.  So many wonderful businesses and individuals donated so that the teachers would know for certain how much they are appreciated!  Every teacher received a gift of some sort and hopefully they were all pleased.

It was fun to make these tags from this and that.  I used flower dies that I haven't touched in years!  And I used brand new stamp sets as well.  Anyway, sometimes it's fun to mix and match and see what happens!

Enjoy your day and I'll be back again tomorrow.

Time Out Challenge #107 - Hello Bunny

Happy Friday!

Time Out Challenges turned out to be one I am going to add to my radar.  This time the challenge is to make a card with a spring theme.  What could be more springy than bunnies?

I used an Altenew stencil for my stripes and the Oh Bunny stamp set from Simon Says stamp to make my card.  Can you see the shadow beneath the green bunny with the fuzzy tail?  That particular bunny is actually a wobbler.  It really makes this card extra cute!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

In addition to the set of four note cards I made using some of the colors, I have a few more cards to show you because once I started playing with the colors I just couldn't stop.  This card actually has every new color in it.

For my final card today I decided that the Wreath Builder bundle might be a fun way
to show off some of the colors too.  I used just three of the colors on this one:

I used four different stamp sets in a mix and match fashion to make all of these cards.  I wanted to limit
the number of sets I used and focus mainly on the stars of today's hop - the new 2018 colors.
Here are the names of the stamp sets I used:

Time Out Challenge #106 - Thankful for Your Friendship

Happy Tuesday!

I thought I would try out a new challenge I found called Time Out Challenges.  I'm not quite sure yet what different challenges they issue, but this one caught my eye because of all the yellow in the inspiration photo:

I noticed this particular challenge is sponsored by Altenew, so I used their Beautiful You stamp set I've had in my stash for a while.  I used Copic markers to color my images in shades of yellow and green.  I'll be sending this card to a friend very soon.  I already know which one!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Thinking of You

Hello Friday Friends!

Here is a little bit different card for me.  I rarely use dark card stock, but once I colored these flowers in shades of blue, I just had to do it!

I used colored pencils on black card stock which was embossed with rose gold embossing powder.  I just kept this little piece on my desk and worked on it a little at a time.  It was a fun art project for me.

I'll be back again tomorrow and I'll see you then.

She Believed She Could, So She Did

Happy Monday!

Did you meet the newest illustrator at Gina K. Designs last week?  Emily Shroeppfer is one amazing gal.  Her lettering is so beautiful and now she is sharing it with all of us!

Lettered and Lovely is her first stamp set with Gina K. Designs:

I paired her sentiment with a stamp set called You Are by Lisa Hetrick.  Both illustrators are nothing short of amazing!

Some Bunny Loves You

Happy Saturday!

Yesterday I told you to watch out - there were more bunnies heading your way.  And I wasn't kidding.  Today AND tomorrow these bunnies will be hopping your way!

These two were left over from another project and that pink flower was on my desk from an experiment a few days ago.  All I needed to die cut was the heart.  I do so love when a card comes together easily!

Have a wonderful Saturday and I'll see you again tomorrow.
