Baby It's Cold Outside

Happy Sunday!

It's not cold outside yet, but it will be and I might have a head start on Christmas cards!

My stamped images are from Picket Fence Studios and I have linked them below. It sure feels good to have a few Christmas cards on hand already!

See you tomorrow!

What I Have to Put Up With to be Your Friend

Happy Saturday!

These three make me smile. Aren't they adorable together?

I stamped my image directly onto my card stock and colored these cuties with Copic markers. They were very easy to color because so much detail is already baked into this Picket Fence Studios stamp. And now there are dies to match this image! Score for sure.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Eek!

Happy Friday!

This is Halloween card four of five for this year. I love sending cards for all the holidays - big and small - to my grandchildren. Five families, five cards.

This one will go to a family with both boys and girls. It's not too masculine or feminine. Just right I think! I chose Copic colors that exuded Halloween. Even my rainbows are colored with Copic markers!

All of of my products are from Taylored Expressions and are listed below in case you want to take a look. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Color Hues The Color Challenge #TCH #2 - Adventure Awaits

Happy Thursday!

I am sending my card over the the Color Hues The Color Challenge blog today for their newest challenge which is to use navy and turquoise.

I used Turquoise Sea, In the Navy and Layering Weight White card stocks from Gina K. Designs. These papers die cut beautifully and since my entire card is focused on die cutting, it seemed like a good choice!

I used the Geometric Builder Circles dies and the Geometric Builder Squares dies from Simon Says Stamp to make all my cute circles that were then adhered to one square each.

My sentiment is from the Big World stamp set from Altenew. I heat embossed it in white and then popped it up with foam tape. It did take a while to die cut and adhere all the circle pieces, but it turned out great, so I'm ok with that.

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Color Throwdown Challenge #611 - Just a Note

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this cheerful inspiration photo which includes grey, kraft, green and white.

To start my card I used one of the new Simple Patterns Trio stencils from Simon Says Stamp with three ink colors from Altenew. I would love to tell you who makes the leaf die that I used, but it must be discontinued and I have no idea (but I tried really hard to figure it out). I stamped my sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio and then added that sweet little postage stamp image from The Greetery. It took a village to make this card!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Trick or Treat

Happy Tuesday!

Working on more Halloween cards? This is really a first for me to get holiday cards done so quickly. I always send cards to the families of our five children. This card is my second and I even have my third one done! I'll share it later in the week.

All of my products are from Taylored Expressions. I used the mini slim size which is fast becoming a favorite. I cut strips from the Rainbow Brights paper pad for my background and heat embossed the sentiment so it would show up well. My oval scene is colored with Copic markers. Look at those not so spooky spiders! The set I used for all my coloring is called Spooktacular and I love the images. So much fun for Halloween!

I hope you have a wonderful day. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Picket Fence Studios September Release Blog Hop

Happy Monday!

Welcome to our blog hop celebrating the brand new Picket Fence Studios September Release. Be sure to visit all of the designers because there are two $50 gift cards up for grabs. So you get lots of inspiration and a chance to add some great products to your stash!

Here is my first card:

For this card I dry embossed the stencil onto my white card stock using my Spellbinders Platinum machine. I love the subtle look it gives. Then for my raised panel I used smaller blender brushes to apply my ink. I was going for a bright and cheerful Christmas card. I added some dots in coordinating colors as well as the sentiment and coordinating sequins.

And now my second card:

For this one, I spread the new Jade Green Paper Glaze through the same stencil. While it was still wet, I added fine glitter to the stenciled image. Once that was dry, I added my sentiment and sequins. The hardest part of this card was waiting for it to dry!

I've listed all of the designers below. You can start hopping and leaving them some love for your chance to win one of two $50 gift cards to Picket Fence Studios.

Oh! Before I go - have you seen the brand new Slim Line Die Cutting System? Here is a picture and all I can say is IT IS AMAZING! This is a pre-order item, but it will be shipping very soon!

Be sure to visit Picket Fence Studios to see all of the new stamps, stencils and dies - and so much more! If you would like to see the entire release, you can click right here. I have also linked the products I used in case you are in a shopping mood!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Good Things are Coming

Happy Sunday!

I am using the same Erin Lee Creative kit called On the Bright Side that I used yesterday. I love rainbows almost as much as I love fruit images!

Today's card is a salute to the United States of America. I love our country. And I pray that we will come through this stressful time stronger and even more resolved to live our best lives in the greatest country ever.

Nothing political here...just an abiding love for my country. I'll be back again tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Look at You Being Awesome

Happy Saturday!

I received my Erin Lee Creative Look on the Bright Side Kit the other day and I could hardly wait to use it!

I pulled out my Concord and 9th inks and papers to make my fun rainbow scene. The stencil that creates the rays is so much fun to use! I used Taylored Expressions cloud dies on some silver sparkly paper and also one of her sentiment strips to finish my card. Silver sequins were just the icing on the cake (or should I say rainbow?).

Have a bright and happy day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Hello From Your Favorite Friend

Happy Friday!

Here we are heading right into a sunny and relaxing weekend. Weekends are the reward for hard work from Monday through Friday. I'm retired now, but I know in the past, the weekends were long awaited treasures!

All of my products today are from Taylored Expressions and I have linked them below. I thought it would be fun to build a little scene with the bicycle and balloon. I stenciled the clouds in the background with Gumball ink and blended the lower portion with Lime Zest. In between I die cut the road for my bicycle and attached it.

I used Copic markers to color my bike and the Lime Zest ink stamped twice gave a richer color to the balloon. I wanted this to be a more generic card, so my Hello sentiment from the Farmhouse Sentiments set worked perfectly. I added a few sequins to finish up my card before matting it on black.

I hope you have a great Friday. I'll be back tomorrow, so I'll see you then.

Do Small Things with Great Love

Happy Thursday!

When I am not creating for a design team or for an assignment, you can bet I'll be reaching for some fruit stamps. And I have plenty! I don't know what it is about fruit images, but I can't resist them! Trust me, I've tried! But I've failed so many times I don't even resist anymore. In my cart they go!

I stamped everything with Catherine Pooler stamps and inks (listed below).  For the dots, I used some stamps I keep on a block on my desk - different sizes and styles of circles because I love adding them to just about every card lately. I added some sequins and called this one done.

I'll see you again tomorrow - maybe with another fruit card!

Color Throwdown Challenge #610 - BOO

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this fun fall inspiration photo which includes red, orange, cream, and brown.

All of my products today come from Taylored Expressions so I have linked them below in case you want to take a look. I had the most fun cutting rainbows from various card stocks - brown, creme and red and then stamping, coloring and die cutting my ghosts. I can't help but think they are all friendly since they are sitting on a rainbow!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Stamptember with Picket Fence Studios

Happy Tuesday!

It's our turn at Picket Fence Studios to release a collaboration with Simon Says Stamp for Stamptember 2020 and I think this stamp set knocks it out of the park! Such a great graphic and some snarky sentiments to boot.

You can also get the stamp and die bundle:

I am not a drinker, so I couldn't name a single drink on this stamp set, but I loved coloring them all anyway! I used Copic markers which are my favorite. But first I blended the background and added some sequins and white paint splatters. I added some black and white striped paper for a bit of drama and I like how it all came together.

These collaboration sets sell out quickly, so if you feel like shopping, I've linked the products I used below. I'll be back again tomorrow and I'll see you then.

So Very Happy for You

Happy Monday!

Flowers and dots - I think they are my new go to design. I've been intrigued by cards made recently by Yana Smakula. She is keen on no blending Copic coloring and also coloring in backgrounds. I thought I would combine both with today's card. Be sure to check out Yana's blog too. She is such a talented card maker!

I used the Spring Flowers background stamp from Simon Says Stamp with Memento black ink so I could color with Copic markers. I colored each flower portion without any blending. I did the same for the berries and the leaves. What a freeing experience! These are the colors I used: BG57, BG15, BG23, BG11, BG000, YG00, YG23, R35, RV14, R43, RV21, Y15 and G03. Then I filled in the background using RV10. This light pink is so perfect for backgrounds.

I added the So Very Happy for You sentiment from the Happy Days stamp set, also from Simon Says Stamp. To finish my card I added black dots to the flowers and the background. If you feel like shopping, be sure to check out the products I used below.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Hues The Color Challenge #TCH #1 - Squeeze The Day

Happy Sunday!

I am SO VERY EXCITED about the newest color challenge on the web. It is called, 'Color Hues The Color Challenge'. I've been waiting for challenge #1 and here it is!

Creating with yellow and green is so easy for me. I love fruit images, so I knew this one was tailor made for me!

I used the Layered Lemons stencil set from A Colorful Life Designs to make my background. This is a three stencil set and is super easy to use. For my die cut lemons I used the Wedges stencil from the same company. I cut two of them out using my Scan n Cut.

My sentiment is from Squeeze the Day from Ellen Hutson. In case you are in a shopping mood, I have linked the products I used below.

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Happy Birthday - Let's Celebrate!

Happy Saturday!

For my card today, I used the Joy Clair Designs Make a Wish digital stamp set which you can see here:

I used Copic markers for all of my coloring today as it always my first choice in media. I hope you will be inspired by my card as and maybe find a digital stamp or two that you love as well.

I'll be back again tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Let's Connect - I'm Just a Click Away

Happy Friday!

Virtual school? Virtual meetings? This adorable Simon Says Stamp Let's Connect stamp set has us covered! And it was so simple to color since I only added a few dabs of marker to my animal friends.  And the computer was easy to color with just three cool grey Copic marker shades.

I used the same markers to color strips of white card stock. My Copic colors are: R43, YR68, Y04, YG07 and BG23. I cut the strips with the 1/8" Quick Strip dies from The Stamp Market. I added the strips, my sentiment and some sequins and called this one done. Easy Peasy!

Enjoy your day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Welcome Little One

Happy Thursday!

I am so delighted to share another Taylored Expressions Mini Slim Line card with you today. This card started out as a tri-fold card, but that last flap just didn't do it for me this time, so off it went.

I die cut my front window and added my sentiment. Then I added a piece of Oreo card stock right behind it, sandwiching in a small nest of gold thread. That way when the card is opened up, the back of the sentiment will look finished too.

I used my Big Bold Balloon stencil to add my balloons and repeated the dots from the front onto the balloons. To finish my card I added one more sentiment, some sequins and a bow. Now it is ready for the next baby girl that comes along!

Have a marvelous day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #609 - Hello Crafty Friend!

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this beautiful inspiration photo which includes blue, purple and green:

I used the Ellen Hutson Mondo Hydrangea stamp and dies for my focal image. I've been wanting to try this one for a while with my Karin Brushmarker Pro markers. I'm not much of a watercolor artist, but I gave it a shot! I used some gingham patterned paper for my background and added a sentiment, gold Washi tape and sequins to finish my card.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Thinking of You

Happy Tuesday!

I may have a new obsession! I've grown very VERY fond of coloring in my backgrounds after I complete my stamping...and then adding black dots. I have to hold myself back from doing this on every card I am making! My background images are colored with Copic markers. These are the ones I used if you are curious:Y04, Y08, BV00, BV13, BV17, YG01, YG13, B21, B23. Then I used RV10 to color in my background.

I love this Taylored Expressions Doodle Flowers Background paired with a sentiment from In Your Corner. To spice it up just a little I added the two thin strips of Oreo card stock behind my matted sentiment and then some clear sequins.

I hope you like today's card. I've linked the products I used below in case you want a closer look. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!
