Season's Greetings

Happy Saturday!

I decided today would be a good day for a shaker Christmas card!

I used a turnabout stamp set from Concord and 9th for my background in some soft colors. I am loving pink for Christmas this year!

I pieced together my snow globe from a Silhouette cut file with some small adjustments. It was tricky, but I did manage to make two of these! I'll show you the other one tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Merry Christmas

Happy Friday!

Originally this was going to be my 2019 Christmas Card. It would be so very easy to mass produce!
But then I decided it would be better if I would grab some Christmas stamps from previous years and see what I could do with them. They had not seen enough love!

So I've been working through my older stamps and melding them with some new stamps to make individual Christmas cards like I usually do.

I do love this card though and it would have been a great mass production project for me. Oh well. I'm happy with my choices.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Merry Christmas

Happy Thursday!

Today's Christmas card is super simple. The cloche is a print and cut (maybe from Silhouette?) and I just ink blended the background and then added the trees. The sentiment and the gold stars and snowflakes finished it up nicely. Oh - I did color the base using Copic markers. The images in the cloche are from an older Concord and 9th set which is probably not even in the shop anymore. I am trying to mix in older stamps with newer ones these days!

Have a crafty day and I'll be back tomorrow...probably with more Christmas.

Color Throwdown Challenge #572 - Joy to the World

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this inspiration photo which includes turquoise, green, gold and white. I've been busy making Christmas cards, so I decided to make another one using these colors.

I used the Joy Ornaments stamp set from Mama Elephant to make my card. I would usually keep my background white, but I'm glad gold was part of the palette, because I think the gold snowflakes and dots finish the card nicely.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. Be sure to take a look at the great projects from the design team! You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

To Grandma's House We Go

Happy Tuesday!

I am having fun making individualized Christmas cards for everyone on my list. And this one will go to my sweet little granddaughter, Illy who lives in Austin. She loves receiving card and if it wobbles - that's even better. This van does just that and I know she will love playing with it.

The background is a stencil called Mod Trees from Simon Says Stamp. I used IZink Glitter Paint with this stencil. This stuff is THE BOMB! I have it in every color and I love using it.

The VW Bus is from a stamp and die set at The Greetery. They have such clever designs and I just couldn't resist this one. I plan to stamp more of these in lots of fun colors.

I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

They make blended backgrounds so easy and quick! And by the way, the full set is on sale for $35.99 right now – BONUS!!

Here are the products I used to make my card. I had a blast making it and if I’ve inspired you, I would love to see your cards based on this inspiration.

You can find all of these (and so many more!!) great stamps, dies and stencils at Picket Fence Studios. Be sure to take a look today. Have a wonderful and creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday!

So I thought I would start out December 2019 with a simple Christmas card. This year I am loving all the softer colors for Christmas.

I used the Weekend Doodles stamp set from Altenew to make my wreath. I made the pink stripes using an Altenew stencil. All so easy!

Have a great Sunday and I'll be back again to see you tomorrow.

I made today's card using products from Picket Fence Studios. The Life Changing Blender Brushes make this type of design so easy. I used one of the smaller brushes and it only took a few minutes to make this fun background.

Do you like to stencil?  Me too!!! I think I'll do some right now. So I'll be back tomorrow. See you then!

Be Creative

Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I shared a card about creativity, so I thought I would follow it up with another! I am not much of a scene builder, but this stamp line from Taylored Expressions was irresistible to me!

I colored all the images with Copic markers and then just started putting everything together and I love how it turned out!

I hope you have a crafty and creative day. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

One Word Describes You - Amazing

Happy Sunday!

Do you remember Charlie the Chameleon from last month?  Here's a quick reminder:

Well, Charlie has a girlfriend and her name is Charlene!  I think she is just as cute as Charlie! I plan to make a card very soon with both of them because I think they are pretty much in love!

You can find both of these lovelies at Picket Fence Studios. And be sure to look for all the other beautiful products in the store while you are there!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

With Sympathy

Happy Saturday!

I decided to make a few sympathy cards to have on hand. I know we don't like to think we will need them, but sometimes we do.

This image is from an older Gina K. Designs stamp set. I stamped it in various shades of pink and then stamped it again with embossing ink. I heat embossed the trees for a nice winter look.

I hope you are having a craft-filled and happy day! I'll be back tomorrow and hope to see you then.

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - Happy Holidays

Happy Friday!

I am sending this card over to Pinkfresh Studio for their November challenge.

Here is our inspiration board for the month:

I used the colors from the challenge this time - the blue, purple and gold. I also used a new Pinkfresh cut file, but I used it as a print and cut file. I didn't have a Christmas sentiment from Pinkfresh, so I grabbed one from The Ton.

I'll be back tomorrow and I hope you will visit me again then!

It's Not What's Under the Tree

Happy Thursday!

This is my final guest appearance for November at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. It has been a total pleasure to create some cards using their beautiful products. And I'm glad I was able to share them with you.

I made my own patterned paper using some scraps and some gold Washi tape. I thought it would be a fun project. My focal point of course is the sentiment which you will find in the Christmas Word Art stamp set.

I hope you have a wonderful and craft-filled day. I'll be back tomorrow and I hope to see you then.

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette which includes aqua, red and silver or grey. I used both grey and silver.

My wreath image is from this stamp and die set from Pretty Pink Posh. It is called Winter Wreath and I just adore it! I added the banner and sentiment from Concord and 9th. I added some sequins and splatters to finish my card today.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. I Love Your Generosity

Happy Monday!

Once again I am using the Pretty Pink Posh and Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration set. This time I paired the outline and the solid stamps to fill up the entire background for a bright and cheery card.

I added the sentiment which is part of an Altenew stamp set. I love the solid black against the vivid background!

Have a crafty day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

The Picket Fence Studios November Release is LIVE!

Happy Thursday!

It's the 14th of the month so Picket Fence Studios is ready to share the November release today. I know you have been waiting! You can shop the entire collection right here. I think you are going to absolutely LOVE this release. It's a winner for sure!

My very first card features the set called I Work for Watercolor

This stamp and die set has everything you need to make cards for your creative friends. I colored my images with Copic markers, but any medium would work!

Here is a look at the stamps and dies:

Next up I stamped and die cut the Italian Twist. What an elegant hairstyle! I attached the image to my background which I stenciled using the Roses stencil. The Life Changing Blender Brushes in the smaller sizes really made the stenciling effortless and quick. I used the Lovely foiled impression die for my sentiment.

Here is a look at the products I used for this card:

Happy shopping to you all. I am positive you will find so many things to inspire you! If you would like to see the entire release, you can click right here. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Color Throwdown Challenge #569 - Peace on Earth

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette which includes purple, lavender and green. I've always thought this was a beautiful combination!

For my card I used the Poppy Stamps Simple Bethlehem Stitched Frame die. Because of the way this die cuts out, I was able to pop out the background and color blend it. When placing all the pieces back together I was able to keep the top part of the trees unglued and it added some fun dimension - especially after I added a bit of Stickles to the leaves.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. As always, the design team has great samples for us and you'll want to take a look! You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Happy Sunday!

Have you ever seen me do a one layer card? Well, here's your chance! I masked off the rectangle area and did my stamping and gold heat embossing. Then I masked off that area to do my ink blending and stamping. I don't do many one layer cards, but maybe I'll start. I sort of like he way this came together!

I used the beautiful Christmas Word Art stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps to make this card. Here is a look at this great set:

I can't wait to share more cards using this sweet set. And don't forget through November, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has 12% off their entire website!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!
