Color Throwdown Challenge #621 - May Your Season Sparkle

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this adorable holiday inspiration photo which includes red, green, aqua and silver:

I had been wanting to "make" these adorable Christmas cookies from The Greetery and this seemed like the perfect time. I loved "baking" them to a golden brown using inks from Pinkfresh Studio and then adding glitter paper and some sprinkles for the fillings. I could have made so many more!!!! I used a die also from The Greetery to make the fringe on my placemat. The sentiment is a Simple Strip from Taylored Expressions.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! You have plenty of time to play along. You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

With Love at Christmastime

Happy Tuesday!

Believe it or not, this is a card made with a napkin. There is a special technique to this which I would be happy to share with you if you are interested.

I added Christmas Red Stickles to the berries and Diamond Stickles to the snowflakes for a bit of dimension. And the sentiment is a Simple Strip from Taylored Expressions.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Merry Christmas

Happy Monday!

I am just enamored with our brand new Winter Snowflake dies. They are so intricate, but once cut, the snowflakes just pop right out. NO sticking at all. It's amazing!

Here is a look at these new dies that make five of the most beautiful snowflakes you've ever seen:

While the snowflakes are the star of the show, I used some supporting products to make my slimline shaker card. I've gone ahead and linked the items I used below. And you can see all the products available by visiting Picket Fence Studios today.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Making Spirits Bright

Happy Sunday!

I've shown you a few napkinized projects before, but this one is one of my newest. It was originally a $1 find at Dollar General with a Christmas saying on it and just some greenery on the base.

I disassembled it and then painted the sign white. The base was already a pretty wood shade. I napkinized the sign and then reassembled the piece. I added new greenery and some small glass ornaments with hot glue. For my final touch I added the bells.

I absolutely love this little sign. I've made a few different ones to use as hostess gifts, but this one stays with me!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - Good Tidings to You

Happy Saturday!

I don't think I will ever tire of this stamp and die set from Pinkfresh Studio. I was inspired by this month's inspiration challenge to add some life to this stamp set.

I was drawn immediately to the color palette with the blues, purples and the mustard yellow. And when I went through my stamps, this one was an easy pick! I hope you like it's simplicity and maybe join in the challenge too!

I'll be back again tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Merry Christmas

Happy Friday!

Who says you can't rainbow up Christmas? Not me for sure. I would rainbow everything if I could!

Just like yesterday I used the Retro Ornaments set from Sunny Studios. But this time I didn't use the coordinating dies. And once I set this up in my Memory Misti and did quite a few test runs, I decided that one card would not be enough. So when I finished this one, I took a few hours and made fifteen more.

The sentiment is from the No Place Like Gnome kit from Therm-o-Web. I wanted a very simple and linear sentiment and this one fit the bill.

I usually do not make multiples of my card designs, but I sort of fell in love with this design, so I went for it. And now I am closer to finishing my Christmas cards!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #620 - Merry Christmas

Happy Thursday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this pretty inspiration photo which includes violet, mint and cream.

I used an adorable stamp and die set from Sunny Studios. It is called Retro Ornaments. I am going to make a bunch of these ornaments in color sets for some future cards. I can hardly wait! The mini slim dies are from Taylored Expressions and are a favorite of mine lately.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! You have plenty of time to play along. You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

I've been wanting to use the new Spellbinders Glimmer Kit for November and I thought pink and brown ornaments might be fun. The sentiment is from the same set. I will link it below for you.

Here is our inspiration photo:

Maybe you would like to play along too! It's a fun challenge site and they always have great color combinations! Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Hues The Color Challenge #TCH #6 - Season's Greetings

Happy Monday!

I am so honored to be a guest designer over at the Color Hues Challenge today. This is their 6th semi-monthly challenge and I have loved each one! This time we are using pink and brown which has always been a favorite of mine. How about you?

My focal point was made using the October My Monthly Hero kit and Distress Oxide inks. I have so many ideas for this kit that they will probably spill over into NEXT Christmas. It's a great kit! I foiled the leaves using the Spellbinders October Glimmer kit which they have just today restocked!

Oh and I have to show you the cute badge they gave me for being a guest designer:

Be sure to play along with this challenge. It's a fun community and I think you will love it! Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Mazel Tov

Happy Sunday!

I can't get enough of the new release from Picket Fence Studios so I thought I'd share another card I made with three of the new products.

First I stenciled the background using Versamark on blue card stock and then heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. For the sentiment, I heat embossed a scrap of white card stock with the same silver embossing powder and then die cut it.

To finish my card I used the same stencil to dry emboss my white background. Then I added some sequins and one of the new Winter Snowflakes cut from foiled card stock.

I hope you will check out the new release. Below I have linked the products I used today.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Picket Fence Studios November Release

Happy Saturday!

Do you like snowflakes? Well, I have some marvelous snowflake cards using Picket Fence Studios dies for you today. Our November release is packed full of fun and LOTS of snowflakes too!

My first card (above) uses all of the Winter Snowflakes dies. I now want snowflakes on every card! And wouldn't you think as intricate as these are they would be hard to die cut? Think again! Each and every one of them popped right out of the die after just one pass. Instead of using lots of card stock colors, I just used white paper that I had covered in Distress Oxide inks. And to finish my card I added our brand new sequins from the Razzle Dazzle mix. There are so many wonderful and bright sequins in this one.

For this card I used some of the same Winter Snowflakes along with the three large snowflakes that are available this month: Lydia, Lawanda and Alice. I used flock for each of these for some soft texture and foil for the smaller ones. I used Holiday Hopper sequins for a few more shiny accents. For both cards I used our new Slim Line Die Cutting System.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me today. I hope you will take a look at the entire release at Picket Fence Studios. I've linked the items I used below.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Let There be Peace on Earth

Happy Friday!

A while back my friend Lydia sent me a little blessing in the mail - four Simon Says Stamp Suzy's Classical Christmas Watercolor Prints. I set them aside but didn't forget about them.

I chose this one to color very simply. One green marker, one blue marker, two pink markers, one brown marker and one grey marker. Because these sweet panels are printed on water color paper, Copic markers are not the easiest to blend on them. So I didn't. I just went for a very simple look and I really do like it. This card was a snap to finish and sometimes, that's the best!

Have a terrific Friday and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #619 - A Gift for You

Happy Thursday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this sweet inspiration photo which includes aqua, red and silver:

I used components from the Therm-o-Web and Gina K. Designs Gnome for the Holidays kit. What fun! I can see making tons of these as cards or tags this year! This kit is sold out, so I am not going to link to it. I guess it was popular right out of the starting gate!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! You have plenty of time to play along. You will find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Merry Christmas to You and Yours

Happy Wednesday!

The Greetery has done it again with their innovative stencils! This time they are bringing us Snowflake Soiree. This is a set of 6 stencils that can be used in so many ways! I just did the basic stenciling this time which uses 4 stencils and 4 ink colors. I tried a few combinations, but decided on this one for my very first card.

The sentiments are from some of my Christmas stamp stash, but The Greetery also has coordinating stamps for these pretty snowflakes! I will link all of the coordinating products below for you.

Have the best Wednesday EVER and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Wishing Your a Very Merry Christmas

Happy Tuesday!

Does it take a village to make a card? Sometimes! I used the Concord and 9th Merry Mantle stamp set to stamp all the cute stockings. And then I raided about 5 different stamp sets to complete my background. I can't even tell you which ones or if they are still available.

I bet you have plenty of stamp sets that could be pulled together to make some fun backgrounds. I think you should give it a try!

Have a great Tuesday...I'll be back tomorrow and I hope I'll see you then.

Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow - Take 2

Happy Monday!

As promised here is my second card using the All Blessings Flow stamp set from The Greetery. This time I used the dies that coordinate with this set.

My first card was a one layer card, but this one has much more dimension and I love it just as much (maybe more).

I hope the start of your week is a good one. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

Wishing You a Very Merry Christmas

Happy Saturday!

Today I have another very simple card using the Merry Mantel stamp set from Concord and 9th. It is fast becoming one of my favorites. Except for the sequins, this is a one layer card. I used my Misti and just a little bit of masking to line up my images. Then I Copic colored in my wreath and a few other items and this card was done. Super easy!

I hope you don't mind Christmas cards in November. If I wait too long, there won't be ANY Christmas cards to send!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow

Happy Friday!

If you haven't checked out The Greetery lately, you are missing out on some beautiful stamps, stencils and dies.

For my card today I used the All Blessings Flow stamp set. There is a coordinating die as well which I will show you in a future post. This was so easy to put together and is actually a one layer card. The hardest part was deciding what colors to use because any combination would be beautiful!

I do hope you have a wonderful Friday. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then.

'Tis the Season to be Thankful

Happy Thursday!

I am very excited to share today's card with you. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is celebrating their 13th birthday and they invited some of their past designers and friends to be a part of this fun celebration.

I designed for this wonderful company a few years ago and was able to cement some wonderful friendships. I enjoyed my time with them so very much.

My favorite style is clean and simple and I think this one fits that bill. I used the Vintage Van stamp set for this card. I love this set because it can be used for fall, winter and birthday celebrations. I can't wait to make a winter one next. And I will be sharing that one with you too.

Be sure to check out Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and give them some 13th birthday love. Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this yummy inspiration photo which includes green, brown, orange and red:

The little rainbow snowman from Impression Obsession just steals my heart every time I look at him. And although most rainbows do NOT include brown, mine does!
