Gina K. Designs April Card Kit & Illustrator Blog Hop - Day 2

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to the second day of our April Release Blog Hop. Be sure to stop by each blog again today and leave a comment. Gina will choose a person from each day's comments and he/she will win a $50 gift card to the Gina K. online store.

I have another four cards to share with you today.  I hope you like them!

First up is the much anticipated Elegant Asters Card Kit illustrated by Gina K.
Look at everything you get in this kit!

If you only owned one kit, I think you could make tons of cards with this one! Here is a close up of my butterfly card using the stamps and dies from the kit:

Next up is Lisa Hetrick's gorgeous new set called Hugs and Wildflowers.

Lisa has done it again with her beautiful floral illustrations. I truly can't get enough of her creativity! If nothing else, I am a clean and simple card maker. So even though Lisa probably envisioned sweeping water colored cards, I tend to go in a different direction.

Next up I made a card using the Mini Stamp Set - Smile.

This set has a matching SMILE die, but I didn't use it on this card. This is all very simple stamping.

And finally, I wanted to show you a card using the HELLO die which comes in the new kit. This die right here makes the kit for me!  I love the way it looks.

It is such a beautiful scripty sentiment and will pair so nicely with other stamps and dies

I hope you've enjoyed your journey through all the blogs today. Be sure to comment all along the blog hop stops. You could be a $50 gift card winner by visiting and commenting on each designer's post.

I have four fun cards to share with you on both days of the hop. I just couldn't stop playing with this release. It is really a super fun one!

The first set I want to show you is called  Puppies Galore illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  With this set you can make various breeds depending on what ears and styles you choose.

Here is a close up of my puppy card wishing you a happy birthday!

Today's next set is called For the Grad illustrated by Beth Silaika

You can make so many wonderful graduation cards with this set, but some of the elements (like that circle) will become staples for lots of different card styles. Here is one of the cards I made using this set. I even used the Wreath Builder on this one.

Next up I made a card using the Spring Joy stamp and die set illustrated by Gina K.

And finally, I wanted to show you the current incentive set called Peaceful Florals and the card I created using this beautiful set.

I hope you've enjoyed your journey through all the blogs today. And remember - there is more coming tomorrow.  Be sure to comment all along the blog hop stops. You could be a $50 gift card winner by visiting and commenting on each designer's post.

Let's Do Some Shots

Happy Tuesday!

If you know me well, you know the only shots I'd do are with a camera!

I bought the Ellen Hutson Everyday Doodles and Punnies bundle designed by Julie Ebersole and I just couldn't wait to use it!  And this is just the first of many!

There are so many cute images in this set and that elusive 10 minute card?  Now I can make one!

Score and double score!

To Some Bunny Special

Happy Monday!

I am wrapping up my Easter cards and putting them in the mail today. I usually just send them to family, but I made quite a few this year for friends too.

I found this digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas and fell in love with him! If you like him too, you can find this Bunny Jelly Bean Work stamp right here.

Have a great Monday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Happy Easter

Happy Sunday!

This last week my friend Jalayne and I did our fun arts and crafts time with our lovelies from the assisted living. One of our projects used the Easter Eggs stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. The sample I had prepared for them used pastel colors...but each of our older friends made really bright and cheerful eggs. I was so struck by their color choices!

Then I saw a video on YouTube using this set with deeper hues. Eloise made her eggs come to life with beautiful colors. Truly I just had to grab my Copics and follow her every step of the way. I would not have thought of using these colors, but now I am obsessed with them!

You can see the video here. And you can shop for lovely Pretty Pink Posh stamps, dies and sequins here.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

He Leaves the Ninety-Nine

Happy Friday!

Here is another card using the Reckless Love set by Joy Clair.  I could create for days with this set!  I don't know why the multicolored images idea even popped into my head, but once I started I just kept on coloring and I love it!

I think I am going to make a few more cards with this set before I store it.  So stay tuned!

See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday!

Thirty six years ago I became a girl mom.  I was already a boy mom by then. I am proud of my daughter and so admire the person she is. I wish I could take credit, but I give it all to God and my daughter. They have been an amazing team and I can't wait to see what happens next.

So happy 36th birthday my wonderful girl. I don't think I could love you more.

See you tomorrow!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. I love the springtime colors we are using this week!

Sending Sunny Thoughts to Brighten Your Day

Happy Tuesday!

I am over the moon crazy about the new Gina K. Designs products from Therm-o-Web! This sparkly green product you see here is called Glitz Glitter Gel. Once it is dry, it does not come off - via magic I suppose, it is encased in the gel.

Look at all the colors! I'm not saying you need them all...but I know I did!

And here is a look at the fun StampnStencil set I used on today's card:

Have a beautiful and glittery day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

All You Need is Love

Happy Monday!

Do you like clean and simple cards like I do?  How 'bout clean and simple with some SPARKLE?  Oh yeah!

My little birds are from the All You Need is Love stamp set from Gina K. Designs.  Aren't they the sweetest?

I am still in love with the Glitz Glitter Gels (also from Gina K. Designs) so I decided to use some of the Grass Green GGG through a small dotty stencil from my stash.  I think it's the perfect sparkly addition for my little love birds!

Have a crafty Monday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

To Some Bunny Special

Happy Sunday!

This is the second time I've used this cute Simon Says Stamp die.  Last time I used colorful papers behind my bunny.  For this card I used some Alcohol Pearls on transparent Yupo paper behind the bunny.

I absolutely love the look of the Yupo paper.  I also added in some sequins which I think was an A+ idea.

I love springtime cards so much and I've been busy making more to share with you soon!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

I Treasure our Friendship - Take Two

Happy Saturday!

Today's card is a redo of an older card.  I made the small ink blended panel a while ago and used it on a card.  But then I didn't like the way it looked on patterned paper, so I tore it off.  The stencil was made from a Gina K. Designs die that I picked up at her store.

More recently I made the larger ink blended panel and set it aside!  Well, today the two are getting married and I think I like the fun colors along with some black and white.

I hope you are having a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Happy Easter - x 2

Happy Friday!

I've been working on my Easter cards a bit at a time. And today I have two that I will share with you. This first one took me four tries to accomplish what I wanted color-wise Sometimes I am heavy handed when I color. But that is not what I wanted here. I wanted light and springy. Fourth time was a charm I guess.

Because I liked this one so much, I thought I should try another. I absolutely love making leaves a color they really aren't, so this is how my second card ended up.

It only took one attempt on this card...however I did have to consult the color wheel to figure out the fourth color. I was surprised by the yellow-green, but I ended up loving it!

If you are looking for this digital stamp, it is a freebie and you can find it by clicking right here. It is from Simply Cards and Papercraft.  They offer freebies each month, so be sure to take a look.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

I Want to be You When I Grow Up

Happy Thursday!

This is the second card I made with my newly purchased (although retired) MFT Doodled Blooms stamp set.

I found a card on Pinterest that used this layout and it really fits my style.  So I changed up the colors and got to work.  I also used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.  I thought this was a very comical statement and one I've said more than once!

Have a crafty Thursday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #537 - You're Fantastic, Amazing, and Incredible

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette.  I don't usually usually use colors this bright, so this really was a challenge for me!

I bought the My Favorite Things Doodled Blooms stamp set from a sweet gal's destash sale and thought they could use some bright colors like these.  This stamp and die set is retired, but still cute as ever.  I used the Get Grounded stamp set from Ink Blot Shop and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

I liked the Doodled Blooms so much that I made a second card with it.  I'll show you tomorrow!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like!  This is only the first day so you have plenty of time!  You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Wishing You a Special Easter

Happy Tuesday!

I've been in the mood for springtime cards lately.  It doesn't feel like spring here most days, but I can hope!

For today's card I used products from Hello Bluebird.  They have such sweet and simple stamps that are easy to color and are versatile.  I can see myself using this banner for every month of the year.  I have another card in the works using this banner and some cute forest animals.  So stay tuned for that.

Have a crafty day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Hi

Happy Monday!

I thought I would start April off with a fun Easter card. This little bunny in a circle die is from Simon Says Stamp. Previously I had made some rainbow alcohol pearl backgrounds on transparent Yupo paper and I knew right away they would be so cute behind these bunnies.

I just selected the prettiest sections to go behind the bunnies and popped them up with foam tape for dimension. This will be one of my Easter cards to send to a grandchild.  I think these would be cute as shakers too. Hmm....

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Altenew March Inspiration Challenge - Everything Will Be Okay

Happy Friday!

I am sending my card over to the Altenew March Inspiration Challenge. I experimented with some no line coloring and feel like I am getting better - but I know I need more practice. I used two new sets for my focal image today and one older set for the sentiment. Here they are listed below:

Make it a great crafty day and I'll see you again tomorrow!
