Sending You Happy Thoughts

Happy Monday!

I am still in love with these bunnies from the Special Friends stamp set from Penny Black.

I stamped and die cut my little sweeties and then used a bit of Copic marker on each one.  I just loved making the ink blended background for my bunnies - it seemed like the perfect touch.  I added the sentiments and some sequins and called it done!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Have a Sweet Day

Happy Thursday!

This was supposed to be a quick and easy card...but I really struggled with it - until I finally realized how these dies worked!

So I die cut all the shapes, embossed them all and then blended through the open spaces in the dies. I tried other methods, but this is the one I really like.

These dies are from an older Spellbinders monthly kit. I am a sucker for all fruit stamps and dies, so it was a no brainer when I saw this set on sale!

Have a terrific Thursday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #543 - Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. What fun colors we have this week!

I have been organizing my stamps and dies, so I felt like I had fresh eyes on creativity today since rediscovering a few items! The little floral motif is actually a die, but I used it in my Glimmer foil system with gold foil. Then I just colored the tiny flowers and leaves. After I had most of my card complete, I decided to add the stitched rick rack die cut. It made my card feel a little old school and I'm fine with that.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time! You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

Thankful for Your Friendship

Happy Tuesday!

Here is another card made with the same Pinkfresh Studios stamp set from yesterday.  This is a discontinued set and I have actually sold it to another crafter...but I had to make a few cards before I let it go.

I made some framed art with this set (sorry, I forgot to photograph it) for my two year old granddaughter Illy.  My son sent me video of her looking at it and saying, 'Grandma made doggy art.'  I told my son that's how I'd like to be remembered!  Here is the video.  It melts my heart!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Love You a Brunch

Happy Saturday!

I made this into a Mother's Day card for my only daughter. As the mother of two growing boys, I think she barely has time to each breakfast or lunch. So I wanted to remind her of the trips she and her husband have taken together where she DOES get to have a relaxing meal!

My image is from the Ink Blot Shop. I sat and colored it one day while she and I yacked on the phone. I love that this is her card now!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Flowers are Always a Good Idea

Happy Friday!

This is another Mother's Day card which is already in the mail for one of my daughters in law. Who doesn't love flowers? I have a few more to share with you so be sure to come back tomorrow.

See you soon!

Celebrating You

Happy Thursday!

My card today is actually a Mother's Day card. That sentiment is on the inside.

I created my bird with the new WRMK Foil Quill. I was practicing with it the other day and decided to try this image with blue foil. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve with this tool. I think this was just a second try though.

I added two Washi tapes beneath the bird and a tiny sentiment. I wasn't going to color the image, but then I decided to and I'm glad I did. I like the very bright look of this card.

All of my Mother's Day cards are in the mail and ready to spread some joy. Hooray!

Have a fun day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #542 - Choose Love

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. I really had no idea where I was going with these colors, but once I decided on this stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs a plan began to take shape.

To get the mix of colors on my stamp I tried a few methods - none of which worked. Then I grabbed some blending brushes and one color at a time, I covered the stamp with the four colors. It took a few passes with each color, but I finally achieved the look I wanted. I used Gina K. Designs inks for all of my stamping.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time! You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Tuesday!

I was in a store with my daughter last night and a clerk said something about Mother's Day being next Sunday. I was like THIS COMING SUNDAY? And he said yes. Well, I was not prepared for that answer. I had not made one single Mother's Day card!

So here is the first of at least six. I have one daughter and four daughters in law and they are all moms. I also send one to a friend who is in a memory care unit.  She has three daughters.

This card came together quickly. The stamp is from Concord and 9th and instead of coloring it in, the set has coordinating flower stamps with tiny stripes. I added dots of gold Stickles onto the flower centers and then randomly around the flowers.

One card done!  Off to make more.

Have a crafty day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Smile, Enjoy Your Day

Happy Saturday!

I thought it would be fun to join in the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  Look at this beautiful logo:

I used some cute coffee cups from the Everyday Doodles stamp and die set from Ellen Hutson for my card. Then all of a sudden I started adding some other fun elements and this creation took on some life!

I will try to make some more cards for this hop before the end on the 10th.  So stay tuned!

See you tomorrow.

You are the Strongest Person I Know

Happy Friday!

When I saw the Altenew Wallpaper Art stamp set, I knew I had to have it. I LOVE the graphic look of the flowers and vines. I would love to have wallpaper like this in my bathroom!

There aren't any dots in this stamp set. I placed the Stamp Market Confetti background stamp over the entire card and held my breath. I actually love the added dots!!!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Sorry, I Know It's Been Ruff!

Happy Thursday!

You know I am a cat person, but this set from Gina K. Designs is making me think I'd like a dog - sort of like this one - sweet and caring.

And if you want to make your own fun canine cards, the Puppies Galore set is for you. Take a look:

I am not sure how many dogs you could actually make from this set, but I'd be willing to bet you could make some super cute (and maybe sassy) puppy friends.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #541 - In A World Where You can be Anything, Be Kind

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. I think pink and brown are just the sweetest colors together so I knew right away what stamp set I wanted to use.

I grabbed the new Spring Fling stamp set from Altenew and started stamping. It took me a few tries to get the look I wanted, but that is pretty standard for me!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time! You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Altenew April Inspiration Challenge - Thanks

Happy Monday!

I am sending my card over to the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge. I used the Layered Dahlia A and B stencils to make my card today. I made a few of these backgrounds because I fell in love with the first one. But this was my original for this month's challenge.

Make it a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

You are my Heart

Happy Sunday!

Sometimes I like to see how pastels and then vibrant black work together.  My ink blended background and the coloring on my flowers was so pale, I wondered if I could pull off a sparkly black for the die cut elements.

I used plain black card stock, but I coated it with a few layers of my Nuvo Shimmer Pen.  That guy really gets a work out!

So yes, my experiment worked.  That's a win!

See you tomorrow!

You are Loved

Happy Saturday!

Have you entered the April challenge over at Gina K. Designs?  You can read all about it by clicking here.  Mindy is our hostess and she wants to see lots of ombre ink blending.

I used the Elegant Asters Card Kit with two shades of ink - Sweet Corn and Lemon Drop.  Ink blending is all the rage now...and I know why!  It really is fun and it packs a punch!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday!

Here is my card for the monthly challenge over at Pinkfresh Studio.  I had the best time putting this card together because I love to make shakers!

My card uses so many stamp and die sets that I lost track!  But everything Pinkfresh Studio makes seems to coordinate, so mixing and matching is so much fun!

Have a super creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #540 - I Love You. Pho Real

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. What pretty springtime colors! It is a rainy Texas day, so I think some brightness is just what we need!

I have had this Avery Elle stamp set for a while, but it just went uninked - until TODAY. I thought it would be fun to use these colors for my culinary creation!  I also used a stamp from the Ink Blot Shop for my tablecloth.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time! You will love what the designers created for us this week. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Wishing You Peace

Happy Tuesday!

I wasn't kidding when I said I love the Special Friends stamp set by Penny Black!  This time I colored my bunny in blue tones and die cut him to go on my card front.  I used a sentiment from the current incentive set available from Gina K. Designs.

Now how did I do the background?  This was my first attempt with the Foil Quill.  What a fun tool and it works so perfectly!  I just used an image from the Silhouette Store and held my breath as it foiled!  Of course I love all my foiling options, but this was my newest so I had to give it a try.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!

Lately I have been attracted to vintage storybook colors and images. I pulled out the Special Friends stamp set from Penny Black to see if I could make the card that I had been imagining for a while.

I stamped all the images in a dark brown and colored them in with Copic markers. Then I used a Copic marker to color in the background. I had never done this before...but it was fairly easy. Finally I added little clusters of white dots with a gel pen.

I so love the look of this card. I made three other cards in the same sitting with this set and I'll show them all to you very soon.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!
