Color Throwdown Challenge #549 - You are so Loved

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. These colors are so beautiful. I don't know why, but this seem nautical to me!

I used supplies from the newest Simon Says Stamp release to make my card. Ink blending through the stencil was fun!! I had a really hard time photographing this card, but it really is prettier in person.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. The CTD designers always have unique and beautiful projects to inspire us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!

You Make me Happy When Skies are Grey

Happy Tuesday!

While I had the Over It stamp set on my desk I decided to make another card - this time all in pink. I used Copic markers to quickly color in my rainbows and then grabbed a sentiment from the set.

Easy peasy!! And quick! I don't often make a quick card...but it worked out this time.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

A Crafty Life is a Happy Life

Happy Monday!

How about a bright shaker card to start the week?  I used stamps and dies from the May My Monthly Hero kit for most of my card. I did a little bit of light coloring on the images with Copic markers.

What is making that shine? It's Rainbow Shattered Foil from Therm-o-Web. I was experimenting with it a few weeks ago but didn't have time to make a card with it. That all changed when I decided to make this card!

This card is going off into the mail to one of my craftiest friends!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Praying for You

Happy Sunday!

Hannah Schroepfer designed this beautiful stamp set called Whimsical Wildflower Frame. She is one of the newer illustrators at Gina K. Designs and every set she has created has been a stunner! This one is no exception. I love that the wildflower frame is two separate stamps which makes it incredibly versatile.

For this card I heat embossed just the lower frame using Passionate Pink ink with Versamark stamped over it. I did the same for the sentiment which is from Have Faith illustrated by Emily Loggans. Here are all the sentiments in her beautiful set:

I just loved mixing these two sets. I hope you liked it too!

See you tomorrow!

You've Been on my Mind

Happy Saturday!

Have you entered the June challenge over at Gina K. Designs?  You can read all about it and enter your project by clicking here. Arjeta is our hostess and she wants us to make a vintage floral card.

I used the Grand Garden stamp set to make my card. I stamped with a very light grey for both my flowers and the card base. I used a pale green for the leaves. I thought these two colors looked sort of old fashioned and I do love the softness of the images.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #55 - When the Waters Get Rough, I'm Here for You

Happy Friday!

I am sending this card over to the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. The challenge this time is called Hello Summer. What could be better than sailing on an ocean of pink and a sky filled with orange? I used softer tones of this color palette but it still says summer to me!

If you love Lawn Fawn, you can play along with this challenge too. This challenge ends on June 30th so you still have plenty of time to enter!

See you again tomorrow!

Spring Gives Us so Many Reasons to be Happy

Happy Thursday!

Don't you just LOVE the sentiment about spring? Me too.  And those little pots filled with flowers and tiny animals - c'mon! How cute are they?

This is a set from Sugar Pea Designs called Sprout, Bloom, Grow. I don't think I could love these images more if I tried! The only things popped up are the animals. Everything else is stamped directly on the card stock. I had to do some masking for the pots and flowers, but it all worked out!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #548 - I'm Here for You

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. These colors are so yummy. I think I could get a sugar rush just looking at this picture!

I used the Bandage die set from Creek Bank Creations to make my band-aids. I'm not sure if you can tell from my photo, but all those tiny holes have glitter in them.  It's pretty in person. I used the Glitter Duster to make that happen, but I think just pouring it on would work too. I chose an "I'm Here for You Sentiment" since there are many reasons for band-aids, including a broken heart I think.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time to play along. I Love Mew

Happy Tuesday!

This was another Father's Day Card to my husband from our Molly Cat. She is the one with the tiny tail painting the bricks red. The other cat is Yellow Cat who torments our girl from outside. We don't own him. No one does. But I thought he could still paint some bricks for this card.

The paintbrushes and palette are from the May My Monthly Hero kit.  Everything else is from My Favorite Things.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!

And happy 38th birthday to my son Scott. I am so proud of the man he is. He and his little family just make me smile all the time!

I stamped a bunch of tiny elements from Pinkfresh Studio in black onto some white card stock and then cut the letters out for the word HAPPY. I cut them a second time to get the green frame around each letter. Then I adhered both toward the top of my 5x7 card.  I added the small birthday sentiment underneath.

Then I used the Over It stamp set from Ellen Hutson to make my rainbow and supporting sentiment.  I added a few clouds and off in the mail it went!

Happy birthday, Son and to my readers, have a marvelous day!  See you again tomorrow.

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

Happy Saturday!

Have you ordered the most recent card kit from Gina K. Designs?  Here is a look at what is included:

Everything on this one card was made using this kit. But truly I could create all summer with the Ocean-Minded Card Kit...maybe longer!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Sending Crafty Hugs

Happy Friday!

My card today is made using the May Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts. What a fun kit! I just checked and it is still in stock.

I die cut the yarn heart and knitting needles. There is an outline die for the heart, but I didn't use it this time. I foiled some Rainbow Shattered foil using a toner sheet - all from Therm-o-Web and placed it behind my die cut heart. I wish you could see the shine in person!

I plan to send this to one of my crafty knitting friends and I can't wait for her to open it!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

You Make My Heart Happy

Happy Thursday!

I am headed out to the water and sunshine with five of my grandkids today. My daughter-in-law is having us over for the day and I am super excited.

So what better card than a bright and sunny rainbow card? I used liquid watercolors from Taylored Expressions over my white heat embossed Overlapping Butterflies stamp from Simon Says Stamp.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions also!

Have a wonderful day and I'll be back again tomorrow with more.

Color Throwdown Challenge #547- Holding You in my Prayers

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. I noticed this photo is courtesy of Macy's.  They sure did a good job of inspiring me!

For my card I used the brand new Floral Garden Stencil. It is only one stencil, but they designed it so that all of the flowers and leaves can be stenciled in two separate passes. And it was very easy to do!

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! You still have plenty of time to play along. The CTD designers always have unique and beautiful projects to inspire us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge - Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday!

Here is my card for the monthly challenge over at Pinkfresh Studio.

Since the challenge was to mix and match, I used four different sets on this project. This was really a fun way to grab multiple sets and make a card. I used: Playful Animal Friends 1, Folk Mandala, Birds and Bows, and Sweet Treats. And I also used the color palette provided.

Have a super creative day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Thank You

Happy Monday!

Do you have a friend who is crazy generous? Me too! And I hope she will like this thank you card when it reaches her mailbox.

All of the products (except the sentiment strip) are from Picket Fence Studios. Even the sky is blended with their wonderful Life Changing Blender Brushes. I colored my little lady with Copic markers. I have not been using them as much lately and I realized how much I love to sit down and color while I worked on this card.

Have a wonderful Monday and I'll be back again tomorrow!

Friends Don't Let Friends go to the Beach Alone

Happy Saturday!

I am having so much fun using the images from the Ocean-Minded Card Kit from Gina K. Designs. The kit has so many images in it, I could probably use it all summer!

This card is a clean and simple one for sure. After I stamped the flip flops, I just used some Tombow Artist Markers to add dots and stripes. Stickles finished off my flip flops and then I added a cute (and true) sentiment.

Enjoy your Saturday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #546 - Seas the Day

Happy Friday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. I love these colors, and just look at that quilt.  Isn't it gorgeous?

For this card I used images from the brand new Ocean-Minded Card Kit from Gina K. Designs. I loved making the sea in the two blue colors. You absolutely need to check out all the new products over at Gina K. Designs.  ...just saying!

Gina K. Designs June 2019 Card Kit and Illustrator Blog Hop - Day 2

Happy Thursday!

Welcome back! Here we are for day #2 of our June Release Blog Hop. You will want to stop by each blog both days and leave a comment. Gina will choose a person from each day's comments and he/she will win a $50 gift card to the Gina K. online store. Seriously - that's a good reward for leaving a comment or two!

I have two cards to share with you again today. Here is a close up of the first one:

I used both sun images from the Ocean-Minded card kit for this one.  It's simple, but who wouldn't want a bright and cheerful card like this? I used Passionate Pink, Tangerine Twist and Wild Dandelion inks for both my stamping and blending.  Adding the sequins was an afterthought and I love how they shine!

Here is card #2:

Hannah Schroepfer knocked it out of the park with this one! Her hand drawn sentiments and flowers are everything! And I can think of a dozen different ways to use this set!

My name always falls at the end of every hop, so if you need to go back to the beginning, Gina K. has the full list on her blog. Be sure to leave as many comments as you can to increase your chances of winning.

Happy Wednesday!

I have two cards to share with you today.  Here is a close up of the first one:

I used Alicia Krupskaya's brand new Timeless Beauty stamp set (there are dies too!!) for this card. Lately I have fallen in love with bright summery colors.  At home I am all sorts of Farmhouse White, but for some reason, bright cards are making me happy these days.

Here is card #2:

This one uses Emily Loggan's timeless set called Have Faith.  Look at these terrific sentiments:

My name always falls at the end of every hop, so if you need to go back to the beginning, Gina K. has the full list on her blog. Otherwise, that's it for today, but we will all be back again tomorrow!

You are so Loved

Happy Tuesday!

Lately I've just wanted to blend everything with my Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes. So today I grabbed a stencil from my stash (not sure where it is from) and gave my card front a bit of a Distress Oxide ombre look. And then for good measure, I used a tiny hearts stencil for the background of my little image.

The sweet bunny image is from the Picket Fence Studios Peach and Piper set and it really couldn't be any cuter.  I used the Sunny Studios Fancy Frames Dies for my circular frame. And finally, my sentiment comes from the Simple Strips stamps and dies by Taylored Expressions.

This was a fun card to make and the image was super easy to color! I hope you like it and will come back for more tomorrow.

Have a terrific day!

Grow Kindness

Happy Monday!

When I first saw the Kindness Grows stamp set from Craftin' Desert Divas I knew I would not be able to resist it. And I was right. I ordered it on the very first day.

This image took quite a bit of time for me to color. The details are very small. I found two things to be very helpful. First I black heat embossed the image. The embossing helped me stay inside the lines. Secondly I used the Artist Markers from Altenew for most of my coloring. They have a brush tip and a fine tip which made coloring the tiny images much easier. It also made me want to buy more of the marker sets!

I plan to make more cards with this stamp set. I just need to set aside plenty of coloring time!

Have a great day filled with lots of stamping! See you tomorrow.

Congratulations on Your Amazing News!

Happy Sunday!

I am still in love with this Spring Fling stamp set from Altenew!  I mean really - it looks cute in every single color I've tried so far.

I think I need to do at least one more with those bunnies running across the card front.  So I'll put that on my to do list!  ...and maybe a wreath builder card too!  SO MANY IDEAS!!

Have a wonderful day filled with crafting!  See you tomorrow!

Stamping Friends Trifecta Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!

And when I say happy Thursday, I mean times 3!! Yes, it's a Trifecta Blog Hop starring Gina K. Designs, My Sweet Petunia and Picket Fence Studios! You probably arrived here from Donna Idlet's beautiful blog. And toward the end I will direct you to your next stop.

I am so honored to stand among these very talented and beautiful designers today. We will be showing you the magic of the Picket Fence Life Changing Brushes, the beauty of Gina K. Designs stamps and dies as well as the pure genius of the MISTI and the Cut-Align from My Sweet Petunia.

Each of my cards feature products from all three companies. Here is my first card:

First let me say that without the MISTI I don't even know if I would still be stamping.  My Sweet Petunia knocked it out of the park with this tool.

I was able to lightly stamp my butterfly and then color it.  And because I left my stamp in the MISTI, I could place my paper right back in and stamp it again with pigment ink and then heat emboss it. I couldn't do that with a stamp block!!  And speaking of the butterfly, she is from the newest Gina K. Designs kit, Elegant Asters.  It is a beautiful kit with gorgeous images and large sentiments.  The background?  I used the Picket Fence Studios Fish Scales stencil with Gina K. Designs inks. I think the magic of the Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes is apparent on this card. The blending (and the clean up!) is just plain amazing.  I want to blend everything now that I have these brushes! I didn't know I needed them and now I don't want to be without them!

My next card is a fun take on a "from all of us" type card:

Once again I used the Life Changing Brushes with Gina K. Designs inks. The blending was so easy!  I used the Picket Fence Studios Ocean of Fish and the Waffle Squares stencils for this three layer card. Of course I used my MISTI for the sentiment but I also used the new My Sweet Petunia Cut-Align to make sure it was cut evenly. This is another must-have tool. It is a game changer!

My next two cards were done using a technique I am currently loving:

Using my MISTI, I stamped all of the images and then heat embossed them. Next I cut masks using the dies for each of the images which are all from the Gina K. Designs Elegant Asters kit. Once everything was masked, I used the Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes with Gina K. Designs inks and blended away. I just love how the inks blend with both light and dark color palettes. The best part is removing the masks to reveal a gorgeous one layered card that looks like more.

Your next stop on the hop is Ceal Pritchett. I can hardly wait for you to click over to see her amazing art. If you get lost along the way, you can always find the entire blog hop list at Gina K. Designs, My Sweet Petunia or Picket Fence Studios.

Be sure to leave comments along the way as each of the three companies will be giving away a $50 gift card to their online stores. The winners will be randomly chosen from all of the comments. Be sure to leave as many as you can to enhance your chance of winning!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I am thankful that you chose to spend a bit of time with me today. I post a new project every single day, so come back any time for a visit.

See you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #545 - Happy Birthday

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for the current Color Throwdown challenge based on this color palette. The inspiration this week contains colors I would not ordinarily use...but I guess that's part of the challenge.

The square frame was made with the Neat and Tangled Quilted Background 6x6 stamp. I heat embossed it in black and then started coloring.  It took me a few times to get the effect I was hoping for, but I finally achieved it using Copic markers. The kitty and accessories are from the Purr-fect stamp set from MFT Stamps.

You can join in the fun at Color Throwdown too if you would like! This is just the first day, so you have plenty of time! The CTD designers always have unique and beautiful projects to inspire us. You will also find the rules and the link to add your creation at the Color Throwdown website.

See you again tomorrow!
