A Colorful Life Designs is gearing up for the March release very soon, so you will want to be on the lookout for that. I thought I would use a stencil from the February release just to get you ready. This one is called Zebra Dots. Don't you just love it?
Did you know you can request a stencil design and Mary Kay will do her best to get it into production? I requested one last night and she actually did two and they will release soon.

I am a big fan of any graphic stamp or stencil and this one doesn't disappoint! It is called Shards and is from A Colorful Life Designs.
I used Distress Oxides in only warm colors and I love how it came together! Be sure to take a look at all the beautiful stencils at A Colorful Life Designs because you will be hooked!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge #626. I got right to work creating my card based on this inspiration photo which includes plum, cream and black:
I used the Heart of Flowers die from Simon Says Stamp for my focal point. I love this die and am so glad it is still available in case you like it too. My sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. This is my very first time as hostess so I hope I don't screw it up!
This week's colors are based on this inspiration photo and are blue, pink and green:
I drew my images with my Cricut Maker and colored them with Copic markers. I added the thanks sentiment which is from Simon Says Stamp. I wanted the color to match perfectly, so I just scribbled some of my pink marker onto white card stock and then die cut the sentiment.

I am making cards again today and couldn't be happier about it! We had a wonderful Christmas, and now I am back in my studio and having a blast.
This card is made with products from Simon Says Stamp and Taylored Expressions. I Copic colored all the images just to get back in practice. There is no shading at all - just simple coloring. It was a fun exercise!
I've got another brightly colored card for you tomorrow, so I'll see you then.

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. My card is based on this super fun and trendy inspiration photo which includes pink, green and aqua:
I used the exact same set of houses from yesterday and added in trees for today's card. Those house dies were still sitting out and I love using my supplies more than once! I colored my houses and trees with Copic markers and blended my sky with Distress Oxides. On an impulse a few weeks ago, I bought some chunky glitter when I was at Target. I had no idea how much fun this glitter would be. In the light it even sparkles in the challenge colors. Score!!!

I reached into my older Christmas stamps and dies for this card. I actually saw one of my posts from 2014 and was inspired to create this card which is very similar to the original in style.

A while back my friend Lydia sent me a little blessing in the mail - four Simon Says Stamp Suzy's Classical Christmas Watercolor Prints. I set them aside but didn't forget about them.
I chose this one to color very simply. One green marker, one blue marker, two pink markers, one brown marker and one grey marker. Because these sweet panels are printed on water color paper, Copic markers are not the easiest to blend on them. So I didn't. I just went for a very simple look and I really do like it. This card was a snap to finish and sometimes, that's the best!

I've been studying more cards made by Yana Smakula.
She recently showed us how to color white flowers so I needed to give it a try - and it is soooo easy! Be sure
to check out Yana's blog. You won't be disappointed!
I used the Spring Flowers background stamp from Simon Says Stamp with
Memento black ink so I could color with Copic markers. Each flower was colored with a cool grey marker and then the leaves, flower centers, and berries were colored in with just two shades each. Then I filled in the background using RV10. This light pink is so
perfect for floral backgrounds.
I added one Taylored Expressions Simple Strip and a few sequins to finish my card. If you feel like shopping, be sure to check out the products I used
