The Future is Bright

Happy Wednesday!

This is my final card as a team member for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I have loved my time with this group of beautiful women.

The saying is from the brand new Faith Quote Blocks clear stamp set. There are five uplifting quotes in this set and each is beautiful.

Here is a look at the whole set:

The other set I used is the Furry Friends clear stamp set. I focused on the smaller images to make my background.

I hope you have a creative day. See you again tomorrow!

Merry Christmas

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Here is another card from our last Gina K. Designs release.

It is pretty much full steam ahead on Christmas cards now.  I actually have my mass produced cards all ready to assemble.  But I'll be making individual ones for the very special people in my life too.  So stay tuned all next month for some fun Christmas inspiration.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Rejoice

Happy Monday!

Last week I watched this video by Yana Smakula for Simon Says Stamp.  She showed us how to use non holiday stamps for a holiday card just by adding some cute embellishments.

I knew I had to try her technique.  She added some antlers and a scarf to her giraffe and it was adorable.  I found a wreath in the Silhouette store and stacked it up times three and added it around my giraffe's neck.  That did the trick!

I colored all my images just like she did and added them to a snowy scene.  By the way, I have a new favorite snow making tool - the Sharpie White Paint Pen.  Who knew?  I have the water based medium tip and it works perfectly.

So that's it for today.  I hope you will watch Yana's video.  She is an amazing artist.  Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Inspired by all the Little Things #34 - Happy Holidays

Hello Sunday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  The inspiration for my card can be found right here:

I used some dies from Reverse Confetti to make my trees. I don't actually remember who makes the Happy Holidays die, but I do know I've had it for a while and this is the first time I've used it.  That happens!!

You should play along with the challenge too. You have plenty of time.  The designers for this challenge have made some lovely cards for us.  Be sure to check them out.

See you tomorrow.

Miss You Friend

Happy Saturday!

I was browsing some Internet inspiration when I came across a card I just KNEW I wanted to make some version of.

Here it is with a link to the beautiful artist, Jodi Collins.  She is a designer for MFT Stamps and one of the nicest and funniest girls around.

I just love the way she made her background, so that's where I started.  I used different ink colors, but I especially love her choices.

Of course I didn't want to completely copy her card, so I made it my own using different inks and embellishments.  I pretty much love how it turned out.  I am thinking of doing some in red and green for a Christmas themed card or two.  Stay tuned!!

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you tomorrow.

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  Take a look at the precious inspiration photo:

I used some dies from Reverse Confetti to make my trees.  I actually made a bunch more because they are so cute and I couldn't stop.  But these are the two I used here.  I also added a sweet little girl image from MFT Stamps.  The JOY die and the sentiment are also from Reverse Confetti.  All of my products are from older releases, but I still love using them and I love how it all turned out.

You should play along with the challenge too. You still have time.  The designers for this challenge have made some lovely cards for us.  Be sure to check them out.

Gina K. Designs and CardMaker Blog Hop

Hello My Wednesday Friends!

All of us at Gina K. Designs are feeling pretty special today because the lovely folks at CardMaker Magazine invited us to play along on their blog hop.

Toward the end of my post I will link to the next blog on the hop.  I can't wait for you to see all the goodness heading your way - both from my teammates and the team from CardMaker Magazine.

During the hop we are showcasing the newest Gina K. Designs StampTV kit, Home for the Holidays.  Take a look at what you get when you purchase this jam packed kit:

As you can see, I used that adorable house as the focal point for my card.  I used the matching die to cut it out perfectly and then colored it with Copic markers.  I built up my background with some mountains and I added some trees from another new set called Dashing.  I added plenty of snow, a fun snowflake and some sequins to finish my card.

I was just in a red/black/grey mood, so I decided to make another card to share.  This time I used that adorable snowman stamp and die from the kit.  I placed him on a little tag cut with my Silhouette Cameo and added some circles behind him.

Speaking of behind him....I could not resist using another new stamp set for my background.  You just have to take a look at it.  It is called Nordic Winter.  Claire Brennan is the designer of this set and also my inspiration for the background.  I fell in love with some samples she made like this last month.  Click right here if you'd like to see another card I made with this precious square stamp.  You will be surprised by the color combo I think.

As promised I'll be sending you on to your next blog.  You will be amazed what the wonderful Chris Dayton has in store for you.

Happy Hopping!

Inspired by all the Little Things #32 - Season's Greetings

Hello Tuesday Friends,

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.   Take a look at the rustic inspiration photo:

For my grapevine wreath, I used the From Our Home stamp set from Clearly Besotted.  I colored it in using Memento markers which is a first for me.  I had never actually colored with the set I have - weird!!

I embossed a sheet of kraft card stock using a wood grain stencil and then added a bit of darker ink.  I cut off just a tiny section to add to the bottom of my white square.  I love the little pop of rustic!!

You should play along with the challenge too. You still have time.  The designers for this challenge have made some lovely cards for us.  Be sure to check them out.

See you tomorrow.

I'm Grateful for You

Happy Friday!

In the United States, this is Veterans  Day and here is my card to honor all the men and women who have proudly served our country.

I get a lump in my throat when I hear the Star Spangled Banner.  I cover my heart when I say the pledge of allegiance.  I cried when our son left for Afghanistan.  And again when he came home to us.

I am an American.  I am proud to be one.  God bless all the veterans....and I thank each one for my freedom.

See you tomorrow, my friends.
