Color Throwdown #462 and Inspired by All the Little Things #65 - Wishing You a Harvest of Blessings
Hello Thursday Friends!
Can you believe it is nearing the end of September? How did this happen? I'm not totally prepared to let go of the bright and fun colors of summer yet. So I am trying to break fall in using baby steps!
I am glad this week's Color Throwdown challenge has some bright hues to challenge us:
Additionally, the Inspired by all the Little Things graphic for challenge #65 was the inspiration for my little mouse frolicking through the leaves card:
So between the two challenges, my card was a snap to make. All of the supplies are from MFT Stamps.
You can click right here for the link to participate in the Color Throwdown challenge. And click right here to join in the Inspired by all the Little Things challenge Be sure to visit both websites and look at all of the designers' projects too. You won't be disappointed!

Happy Birthday
Happy Wednesday!
Do you struggle with masculine cards? Who doesn't? But here's the deal...they can be very easy to make.
Take a look at this set from Gina K. Designs:
It is called The Wetlands 2 and was designed by Theresa Momber. Do you see how easily this card came together? Three images stamped in black, clear embossing powder, and BAM - done!
Have a happy day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Birthday Wishes for You
Happy Tuesday!
If ever you need a quick card for a birthday, this is the one for you. And no one would know it took so little time to make!
I used the Fabulous Rose Frame stamp and the matching die (from Gina K. Designs) to make my focal image. The coloring was super easy using gentle swipes of ink on a Fantastix tool.
I used the matching die to cut out the image which I then placed on a card base. How easy is that?
Have a fantastic day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Happy Monday!
Today I'm sending my card over to challenge #13 at Lawn Fawnatics. Here is the current graphic and this time the challenge is to make a fall inspired card.
I used the You're Claw-some stamp set for my my card. After a bit of paper surgery, my shaker card came together. It was challenging, but I love the results!
You can play along too if you have time. Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see all the fun inspiration for this challenge.

Make Waves
Hello Sunday Friends!
I decided to try white heat embossing and some water coloring for this Mermaid's Tail from Ellen Hutson. I've used this stamp set so many times, but I just can't stop. I think it's the cutest and every time I see it, I want to use it again!
Oh well, enjoy this one or wait for the next one! Either way.
See you tomorrow!

Tag You're It #73 - This is for You
Here is my tag for the current Tag You're It challenge. Can you believe how pretty the colors are on the inspiration photo? That purple is just the prettiest!
I used Distress Oxide Inks to make my tag and like the inspiration tag, I spritzed the ink with water to get those fun spots. I added a white doily die cut to the top of my tag and then a cute little sentiment toward the bottom. I finished it up with some gems and am happy with the result!
Enjoy your day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Curtain Call Challenge - There is No Limit to Your Awesomeness
Happy Thursday!
Here is my card to share over at the Curtain Call Challenge today. I was totally inspired by the colors in this room.
Earlier this week, I promised I'd be using the Oak Leaf stamp and die set from Neat and Tangled again soon and here it is. This time I used gold embossing powder and colored in the leaves using the colors from the trendy inspiration photo.
My sentiment is from the Mon Ami stamp set at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. I think it is the perfect uplifting sentiment.
This is such a fun challenge and the team members are all so talented! Don't forget to pop over to the blog to see what they have created. And join in the fun if you can!
Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

God is my Rock in Whom I Have Refuge
Hello Wednesday Friends!
A few weeks ago my stamping friend said she was going to order from PaperTrey Ink and she wondered if I needed anything. Hmmmmmmm.
I discovered that PTI is carrying all sorts of large inspirational quotes and sentiments and I picked up six different ones! And since I am obsessed with colored embossing powder at the moment, I used three colors on this one.
I am very appreciative of my enabler friend so I'll share more of these great PaperTrey Ink stamps soon.
Have a GREAT day! See you tomorrow.

Inspired by all the Little Things #64 - Blessed
Happy Tuesday!
This week at Inspired by all the Little Things, the graphic for challenge #64 is just striking. The blue with the dark copper just made me want to join the challenge immediately!
I used the Oak Leaf stamp and die set from Neat and Tangled. There are so many possibilities with this set so you will probably see more of it later this week! This time I ran a few streaks of water color over my background and let it air dry. Then I attached my die cut copper embossed leaves over the background. The simplicity of the card meant a simple sentiment too. I thought BLESSED would be a perfect choice. A large brad and double looped bow finished my card.
I hope you have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

It's my turn to issue a challenge for Mix It Up Monday at Stamp TV.
So this week we are using uplifting words! At our church right now, the message series is called My Big Fat Mouth. Two weeks in and I know our pastor is talking about me! One thing really struck me for sure - our words can build people up or tear them down. It is so true. So this week, let's use our words (and stamps and dies) to encourage.
I used the maple leaf stamp and die from the Stitched Leaves Mini Kit and the sentiment (die and stamp) is from the Boho Flowers Mini Kit.
This is how I made my card: First I stamped some heat resistant acetate with the maple leaf image and then I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Next I die cut the leaf into the center of a single stitched square. I adhered the acetate behind this area so the leaf was centered behind the opening. I blended three colors of Distress Oxide Inks onto a scrap of white card stock and placed that behind the square. Finally, I used some fun foam behind the square to lift it up
I added my sentiment and some sequins to finish my card. I hope this card encourages YOU today!

Happy Thursday!
Today I am playing along with the Mix It Up Challenge over at Ellen Hutson's CLASSroom blog.
The challenge this month is to use Essentials by Ellen stamps along with Honey Bee Stamps. I chose these two sets:

YNS Design Team Dare - Bushels of Happiness
Happy Wednesday!
Do you "get inky"? I know some of you are awesome at using Distress Inks for your backgrounds and they look SO artistic and beautiful! I wish I were part of that artsy community!!!
I am such a control freak that I just can't seem to do it. But still, I do love my Distress Inks and now my Distress Oxide Inks too. I just use them in a fairly controlled manner!
Today over at the Your Next Stamp blog, you can enjoy some inky projects from the design team and guests AND have a chance to win a stamp set of your choice. Be sure to leave a comment on the YNS Design Team Dare blog post by September 15 at midnight EST. The winner will be posted on September 17, 2017.
So I really did get inky today - in my own way. I used three shades of Distress Oxide Inks to blend a frame for my little critter from the Autumn Animals stamp set. I also cut strips of the same three colors for an accent and I used one color for the mat around my sentiment.
Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Sorry I was Crabby
Happy Tuesday!
Did you ever want to make a silly card? Me too. This study in pink, black and white just cracks me up! Maybe there was some crabbiness because of all the balls in the air. I know that happens to me sometimes!
This super adorable stamp is from the Todd Turtle stamp set designed by Beth Silaika. I think all the images are great, but I just LOVE that crab! Here is a look at what's included:
Have a crab-free day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Inspired by All the Little Things #63 - Start Again
Happy Monday!
This week at Inspired by all the Little Things, the graphic for challenge #63 is a such a pretty color combination. I think the mint with the peachy pink is so lovely:
I used the Start Again image from PaperTrey Ink as my focal point. I heat embossed it and then used Copic markers to color it in. It is a simple card, but I love the sentiment. And I think the message is perfect for the anniversary of such a sad day in our history. Thankfully we have a new day to do better.
I hope you have a good day and I'll see you again tomorrow.
