I Smile When I Think of You
Happy Wednesday!
Have you ever been smitten with a color even though you don't have any of it in your wardrobe or in your home? Well, that's me right now. I just swoon over some shades of blue. I think it will be a temporary thing, but I am going to enjoy it while I can!
I used a stencil to apply two shades of Gina K. Designs ink - In the Navy and Blue Denim. I used inks from Altenew on my rose which is from the Build-a-Flower, Rose stamp set. I added the bright green leaves, my sentiment and then a few sequins to complete my card.
This was a very simple project...but I like the results!
I'll be back tomorrow with a super fun blog hop!
See you then.

Thinking of You
Happy Thursday!
Tonight is the night! Are you ready for the Gina K. Designs February release party? Join us at 7pm at StampTV to see what is brand new in the shop. You are going to be AMAZED at the new product that will be available for purchase later tonight.
Until then I am sharing a card I made using the January Hearts and Flowers StampTV kit. Here is a look:
I used a favorite technique on this simple card. This is just one image stamped over and over to form a beautiful background. I gold heat embossed it and then added my sentiment. It doesn't get easier than that and it packs a punch every single time!
So I'll see you again tonight and I can't wait. Tomorrow we will have a blog hop and will be sharing even more of our projects, so I'll see you then too!

Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge - Hello Friend
Happy Saturday!
Here is my card for the Where Creativity Meets C9
challenge today. This month they want us to use water coloring. I am
NOT any sort of water colorist, but I can drag a water brush!

I
used the Mosaic Turnabout stamp to make the background of my project.
Then I turned to the water coloring. I added water colors behind the
die cut white circle and then water colored the HELLO sentiment. It was
a major accomplishment for this non-water color girl!!
Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #22 - Hope Your Birthday is Out of This World
Hello Friday Friends!
Today I'm sending my card over to challenge #22 at Lawn Fawnatics. Here is the current graphic and the theme is Inky Fingers.
I used the Out of This World stamp set (and dies) from Lawn Fawn. My fingers did get a bit inky while creating the blue background. I love using stamp pads plus water to make backgrounds! I need more practice, but I do like the way this one turned out.
You can play along too if you have time. Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics blog to see all the fun inspiration for this challenge. They have some amazing designers and you will be inspired to make some wonderful cards.
Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. And this is the lovely inspiration photo:

Love You
Happy Tuesday!
Only one more day until Valentine's Day!!! My cards are all done now and in the mail to those I love most.
Today I am using the brand new Geo Thanks stamp set from Gina K. Designs. This set was designed by the very talented Claire Brennan.
I stamped my images in a grid pattern and then colored them in using six Copic markers. I didn't do any shading at all which made this a quick card. To finish my creation I added coordinating enamel dots to each heart.
I hope you have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Mod Squad Challenge - I Love You
Happy Monday!
I noticed a new-to-me challenge today and it is the Mod Squad Challenge. I think it caught my eye because it is sponsored this week by Gina K. Designs.
Anyway, the challenge is called Have a Heart and the requirement is to have a focal image heart on your project. Easy peasy this time of year!
I used products from Simon Says Stamp and MFT Stamps to make my card today. I'd say the heart is the focal image here!
Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

I've been working on all sorts of Valentine projects lately! Today I made forty treat bag toppers for two special little boys. And I still have a few of my own Valentines to send out!
This one is made with the Geo Thanks set from Gina K. Designs. I did a bit of water coloring on the flowers. It isn't my #1 talent, but I still try it now and then!

Assisted Living Valentine Fun
Hello Saturday Friends!
This past week I had the privilege of making Valentine projects with some wonderful older folks at a local assisted living facility.
As always with any new and different experience, I was nervous and wanted to back right out...but I had no reason to fear. The men and women (12 of them) were all so sweet and loving. My friend Jalayne and I spent a few hours with them and we all had a blast. And they were so very appreciative, which was nice.
These were the two cards I helped them assemble. I wasn't sure what type of skill level we might encounter, so I pretty much made all the parts and pieces to the point where they could just peel off a sticker backing and add the pieces to the cards. They loved it. And what I loved was watching some of them create their own design. Creativity is for all ages!!!!
Was all the prep work time consuming? You bet it was. Was it worth it? A thousand times over! And we are going back next month by special request. I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity!
I'll see you again tomorrow for more Valentine fun!

Furry Friends Blog Hop
Happy Thursday!
Welcome to the Furry Friends Blog Hop! Today the Gina K. Designs team is showcasing two of the newest stamp sets in the store. They are called Frisky Felines and Playful Pups You can buy the stamps separately or bundled with the coordinating dies.
Take a look at both of these adorable sets designed by Alicia Krupsky:
On my first card I elongated the tag so I could fit everything on it. I used the partial die cutting method to make that happen. I also used my Silhouette to make another black tag and a red mat for the original tag.

I broke out my Silhouette again to make a card panel with five out circles. Then I made little matching circle frames for each one. I used Distress Oxide inks to blend behind each circle and then added some water splatters. After cutting and coloring my little pups, I placed each so they would peek out of the cutouts.
I heat embossed the sentiment and the paw print to finish up my card.

Inspired by all the Little Things #79 - Riding By to Say Hi
Happy Wednesday!
I created this Valentine for the current Inspired by all the Little Things challenge. I thought the little bike and hearts would fit right in with the inspiration photo:
I used the Reverse Confetti Rollin' stamp set to make my card. I've had it for a while, but it's the first time it has seen some ink. But it won't be the last! I added some gold accents just to take my simple design up a notch.
I would love to see what you create if you decide to join in the challenge. See you tomorrow!

Thank You for Being Amazing
Happy Monday!
I didn't think I needed the Center Cut Heart background stamp from Simon Says Stamp until I saw what Yana Smakula did with it. You can see her card and video by clicking right here.
I followed her lead for the design of the card by using white embossing powder and only one colored pencil plus a white colored pencil. She used a lovely light pink, and I selected a pencil with a fuchsia tone.
The whole trick to this design is to stop before you do too much. I think it would have been easy to color in more of the design. But holding back just gives the card more impact I think.
I also stamped and die cut a bow from the Bows for You stamp and die set available from The Stamp Market. I am a total sucker for a good bow stamp! And this set has two, plus some tags and sentiments.
I hope you will watch Yana's video and be inspired to break out some pencils! I am a novice with pencils, but I am starting to love them.
See you again tomorrow!
Susie
