Dies Used as Masks

Here is a fun technique for you to try:

First stamp a script background on white cardstock.  Stamp your image in clear VersaMark ink and then heat emboss.  See how the script shows through?

Now make the magic happen - lightly tape an oval scalloped die over the image and use Distress Ink and a sponge to apply color inside the oval.  When you remove the die, voila !  Instant beauty! I added some platinum Stickles for some bling and also a few pearls.

The purple felt flower is made with the Rolled Rose die from MFT Stamps.

I think you could use this technique with lots of different stamps.  I am going to try it for a shabby chic card very soon.  What could you create with this idea?

So, I'll be back tomorrow with another project and I will see you then.
