Memorial Day

Thank you for taking a moment to visit my site on this Memorial Day.  Indeed, our family is grateful for the men and women who fought and died for our freedom.  Knowing the cost that could be paid and still fighting for us is uncommon valor in my book.

Today's project is a layout from a Gina K Designs website challenge.  Just use kraft paper.  Simple!  Except when I use kraft paper, I always find it dull and boring.  And the same with this one - until I ran it through an embossing folder.  Problem solved.  Now I like the background paper.

The stamp and ribbons are also from Gina K Designs and the Long Rectangular Dies are from Spellbinders.

I just added a few brads and a little bit of bling to the flower centers and I was pleased enough with the end result to enter the challenge.

I will be back tomorrow with a card that was a special request from one of my friends.  She loves purple - so I went all out purple for her.
