God Bless America - and the Winner of the Giveaway

Happy Fourth of July to all my friends.  I guess I am partial - but I believe I live in the best country on earth.  I love America and all she stands for.  And I thank God that I am able to live here and be free.  And how did that happen...this freedom?  It happened because of the brave men and women who were willing to fight and die for me and for family who came before me and those who will come after.  Thank you.  Thank you to these people who are far braver than I.  I salute you and am humbled by you.  Some of you are in my family and extended family.  Most I will never meet.  My gratitude extends to each of you.

And so today's home dec project comes out of a heart full of gratitude.  I was inspired by this post on a blog named Landee See, Landee Do.  Please take a moment to visit and see.  She offers a free ready to frame printable that you also can have.  I just decided instead of using the printable in its entirely, I would add some dies to the project because, let's face it, that's what I do.

The banner comes from MFT Stamps.  It is a four piece die.  The scalloped background banner, the straight banner and then the circles- scalloped and regular.  All in one die!  I used all four pieces and layered them together.  The alphabet stamp is from the same company.  It is my go to stamp set for lettering.

I waited until later in the day to post this so I could also announce the winner of the card giveaway.  So without further delay - I will be sending this card to Beth Matson.  Beth is one our newest Facebook friends.  Beth, if you will email me at scmoore48@sbcglobal.net  with your snail mail address, I will send the card to you - all ready for you to give to one of your friends.

Have a blessed day - and I'll be back tomorrow.

Susie
