Happy Friday !

Happy Friday Friends,

I made this banner a few years ago, but it needed some jump ring repair work...so I thought I would photograph it and show it to you.

The pictures on either end are circa 1960.  Yes, those cute kids are grandparents now.  And that is fine with us!  We love our grandbabies!!

The base of each tag is an upside down shipping tag.  And each tag is embellished with a crepe paper rosette.  I die cut the typed letters L O V E using a Spellbinders Circle die and the mats from a coordinating Spellbinders Pinked Circle die.  Because I like a lot of dimension, I also cut the circles and mats in chipboard to place behind each one.

I added do-dads and stuff from my stash until I thought it looked full enough.  I do know that I made this in one evening and you can too.

I did not come up with this cute project on my own.  I saw it at a scrapbook store in my area that has now gone out of business.  If I remember correctly, the owner told me it was a project designed by Melissa Frances.  I know for a fact that Melissa Frances comes up with such cute vintage ideas!

Tomorrow I will be back with a vintage idea of my own.  Can't wait to show you.

Susie
