You're a SUPER Star

With today's post I want to highlight a few dies I haven't shown you before.  I also want you to see that just because July 4th is over, it doesn't mean that patriotic papers can't continue to be used on your cards.  We will just make them sing a different song.

I made this card base in 2 minutes flat.  These are just scraps from yesterday's project.  I didn't have a plan - I just picked up papers from my work space and placed them on a card base.

Because I knew I wanted to make a card that I could use to encourage someone, I typed "You're a SUPER Star" on the computer and then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.

Of course then, I needed stars.  Spellbinders also makes a set of nested star dies.  I used one of the smaller ones and cut out three blue stars. I also cut out three stars from some scrap chipboard.  The blue seemed a bit flat, so I grabbed an embossing folder from Sizzix and made a cute pattern on the stars.

I layered the three stars like this:  Foam dots, chipboard, blue stars and finally pearls.

This was a super quick card and I used some scraps to make it.  Next time someone needs a pat on the back - I've got the right card to send.

  1. Love the embossing folder you're using on your projects. I love that basketweave kinda look!
