Good Day Sunshine

Well, here in Texas, we've had PLENTY of sunshine.  And too many days over 100 degrees too.

But this little card makes me think more of the cool autumn I am hoping is right around the corner.  Football is about to start - isn't that a sure sign of cooler weather?

The digital image is from Michelle Houghton and you can read her blog here. I colored the sun with Copic markers and added some shine to the center with a clear glitter marker.

I used a Large Oval and Large Scalloped Oval from Spellbinders to cut the focal image.  I popped it up using dimensional foam.

I never really considered using red and orange together until I found this piece of paper in a Mat Stack.  All of a sudden it made sense and I do believe I like it!  The "ribbon" is seam binding called Hug Snug.  It is great stuff - easily colored with Copic markers, spray mists or stamp reinkers.  The vendor I use is ZipperStop.   They are a great family company with fantastic customer service.  I can recommend them knowing you'll be as pleased with them as I am.

Tomorrow I'll be back with a card I am submitting for a Cosmo Cricket contest.

See you then.

Susie
