I wanted to show you a little art piece I did before I used dies in every project.
This one started out as a coaster from a restaurant. The design is based on a project that is in one of Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 books. She is an amazing artist and designer.
If I were doing this now, I would be able to cut the flower, the stem and the leaves from a die - but back then I didn't have that luxury.
But what I want you to know is this. Whatever tools you have - make art. Just jump in and make some. It is good for you!
Tomorrow I will be showing you a project using a brand new die that I got this month. I hope to see you then.

ReplyDeletethis is totally ADORABLE! And I don't think it would have been any nicer or more beautiful if you used die cuts for the flowers (ok.. maybe it would have been easier for you to create it ;-) .. but it can never be any more good looking than this!) :-))
