Happy Thursday Friends.
I am entering today's card in the Shabby Tea Room weekly challenge. We had to use orange, black, purple and neutrals. Also had to use some twine. I've just discovered The Shabby Tea Room challenges and I already love them. SOOOOO inspirational.
Here is the inspiration picture they posted:
Don't you love this tree? SOOOOO cute!
For my card, I just pulled out some scraps to build the background. I couldn't make it look right though until the very end when I had an extra oval shape left. That little design element on the left side made it work. Go figure.
I used two dies to make this card. I used a small Spellbinders oval die to cut out 6 ovals from the dotted paper. I folded them in half and then adhered them back to back to make the 3-D pumpkin. I did snip the bottom of the little pumpkin to make a flat edge right at the end - so the ovals may not be so apparent.
The other die I used is the new Tag Sale #5 die from PaperTrey Ink. I am thinking that this die would make a precious mini-book. I am going to have to think some more about that! Hold tight. If I do it, you'll see it.
I used felt for the leaves and stem and then added a seam binding ribbon and bow.
I hope you'll check out The Shabby Tea room. And while you're there, you should enter the challenge too. I hope I'll see you there.
And tomorrow I'll be back with another 3-D card. This time it will be a Christmas one.
See you then.
