You Are So Handsome

I think I've mentioned before that I love to work with a sketch before I start to create.  Otherwise, I tend to just stare at my table and wonder what will happen next - and usually next takes a LONG TIME.

This was a sketch for a 12x12 page, but I thought I could turn it into a 5x5 card if I tried. And guess what?  I love how it turned out.

All of the papers are from the My Mind's Eye Breeze Collection 6x6 paper pack.  I already had some scraps out and then just selected a few more sheets.

I hand cut the sentiment from one of the 6x6 sheets and its shape reminded me of a die I had. I cut the large tan piece from the Spellbinders Labels One die to mimic the shape I had hand cut.

I inked all the edges of my tiny pieces and matted most of them. Then I used one more die.  This time it was the Little Open Scallop Strip from MFT Stamps.

I added some buttons, twine and bling and I think my 12x12 to 5x5 experiment turned out perfectly!

Oh and by the way, Spellbinders is having a design team call.  I'll be submitting a project and crossing my fingers.  You should do the same.

I hope I'll see you tomorrow for yet another project using my dies.
