Today I am sharing with you my project for this week's Joy's Life design team challenge. We were to use doilies and glitter. WOO HOO to both!
The sentiment is from Joy's Life All Around Sentiments stamp set.
I cut the focal point mini doily from a die set from PaperTrey Ink. This one is my favorite of all three dies in the set. I wanted to keep it crisp and white, but still utilize some glitter. So I cut the little mat from both cardstock and double sided sticky tape and then applied the sentiment to the center and sprinkled Martha Stewart Brownstone Glitter over the remaining part of the mat. I love the way the finished product looks.
And because I graduated from the school of a little glitter is good, but a lot of glitter is better, I also applied a line of sticky tape along the seam of the two papers and sprinkled more glitter on top of it.
A bow and a button finished it off nicely I think.
I have lots and lots of thank you cards to write to my friends, so I'll be duplicating this design until I have them all complete. I liked using the friendship sentiment on the front and will use a thank you stamp from the same set on the inside.
Off to stamp and glitter some more. I will see you tomorrow with one of my favorite Christmas pictures from this year.
