What Would I Do Without You?

Happy Tuesday!

I've been waiting and waiting to show you this card.  When I purchased this Impression Obsession Birch Trees Die, I rushed right home to make a card with it.

I just knew those trees would be perfect for the technique I wanted to try.

I die cut white paper to make the trees and then covered them with Gingerbread VersaMagic Ink.  This ink stays very wet for a long time, so it is perfect for heat embossing.  I sprinkled on two layers of clear embossing powder and then heated it.  My trees were textured (from the die) and shiny from the embossing.  I just love the look.

I cut the birds from Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy Felt and adhered them to my branches.

The background paper is from Simon Says Stamp.  It is their exclusive Woodgrain Embossed Card Stock. I've only used it a few times...but always love it when I do.

Then I heat embossed a sentiment in white and added some wood grain sequins and three red pearls.

Seriously!  I love this card.  I hope you like it too!

See you tomorrow.

Susie
