The Four Stages of Homemade Holiday Gift Tags

Happy Sunday!

I thought I'd share some homemade tags with you today.  They represent the four stages that every craft diva goes through at Christmastime.

1.  Feeling fancy!  Layered die cuts and glitter.  Twine and metallic paper.  Ribbon and Stickles too.  Christmas isn't even close yet.  Still two weeks away!!

2.  No time for coloring.  Just stamp the image and the sentiment.  Add a few enamel dots because those can really finish a project nicely.  Twine is awesome for tags! Still a whole week before Christmas, so go ahead and grab an Action Wobble and let Santa enjoy the ride.

3.  This tag is a leftover from another project?  Awesome!  Pop Santa up on some foam tape and add an enamel dot to his hat.  Stray twine on my table?  Perfect.  Christmas will be here in a few days.

4.  A paper pad from Michaels' with border strips and premade tags?  Excellent!!  Foam tape, twine, enamel dot.  Done.  We call this stage, CHRISTMAS EVE!

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

  2. Oh so true, Susie!! Here's what I do: when the elves come to clean up after the gift-giving-unwrapping frenzy, I say, "SAVE ALL TAGS!" I store them for next year's gifts and each year I "freshen up" the stash with a few new ones!
