LRW Challenge #288 - So She Learned to Fly

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #288 at Little Red Wagon.  It is Tracy's turn to choose our challenge theme and she wants us to use distressing and Distress Inks.  She is calling this week's challenge, DISTRESS IT.  I am fairly certain she is just trying to kill me with this challenge.  I DO NOT like to get my hands dirty....but since I own all the inks and tools to do just that, I gave it a try.

I grabbed a tag and started blending some Distress Inks until my fingers were sufficiently dirty.  Then I sprayed three colors of metallic mist over the whole tag.  Once all of that was dry and I had scrubbed my hands, I started layering all my elements - Washi tape, a stamped bird, a gold foil die cut pair, some sequins, some gold thread and a typed sentiment cut into word strips.  One gold bling heart, distressed edges and some dyed seam binding and I called it done.

Be sure to check out what all the LRW Girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

See you tomorrow.  Until then, have a wonderful day!!

Susie

  2. I hope the challenge didn't stress you too much. Your tag is amazing. Crafty time is always the best when you get a bit messy.
