Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Guest Blogger - Life is Beautiful
Hello Wednesday Friends!!
Sniff Sniff. This is my last week as guest designer over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. It has been a wonderful opportunity to work with so many talented designers this past month. And I just can't wait to meet next month's guest designer!
But for right now.......
This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES and we are showcasing Penny Black products. Penny Black has been such an inspiration for a very long time now. Her designs are not only beautiful, but wonderful to color. Here is what I did with this week's challenge using the Penny Black Petal Party Transparent Stamp Set:
I stamped and masked and then stamped some more to make my bouquet of summer flowers and leaves. I colored all of the flowers with Copic markers and even cut out one and laid it over a stamped flower for extra dimension. Can you tell? It's the smaller red flower. I couldn't resist using clear Wink of Stella on each flower and I love how it turned out.
To finish my card I added a gold lacy butterfly die cut to hover over my bouquet.
I've linked all of my supplies below for you.
And remember, you can win a great prize from Simon Says Stamp - a $50 gift certificate - so don't hesitate to enter. All of the details are on the blog and you can see them and enter your creation right here.
You can see my card as well as all the other design team cards on the blog today.. You won't want to miss all the beautiful inspiration! Thank you friends for supporting me this past month. It's been a wonderful ride and I'm so happy to have been a part of this great team.
And don't forget to check out ALL the great products at Simon Says Stamp.
Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

You're the Coolest
Happy Monday!
Just last week my husband said, "Can you believe summer is almost over?" I actually dismissed it without much thought, but then at dinner with some of my friends who have children, the exact same statement was made! How can that be? So I decided to make a few more summer cards before it really is over.
This little guy is holding up an Eyelet Outlet fan brad and has a beach ball brad at his feet. He really IS pretty cool!! And he most certainly does NOT believe summer is almost over!
So go enjoy your day and I'll see you right back here tomorrow.

Feline Better Soon
Happy Sunday!
This one is for all my "cat" friends.
I decided to add a few brads to this image - a nurse's cap and a stethoscope. I love the texture it gives the card and I think it makes it just that more charming! Of course these little additions are from Eyelet Outlet.
Thanks for stopping by today. See you right back here tomorrow!

You Inspire Me
Happy Saturday!
I hope your weekend is going beautifully!
I thought I would make a simple card using some of last month's release from MFT Stamps. There are two butterfly die sets - one solid and one lacy and frilly. I colored the bottom layer and added some glitter to give some shine and then added on the top layer. I only attached it at the center so the wings could fold up a bit and I love the way it looks.
I added some enamel dots and some gold sequins to finish the card.
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Guest Blogger - Happy Birthday
Happy Wednesday!
This is week four of my guest designer gig over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. Let me just say, I am really happy that July has five Wednesdays! But I know once my five weeks are over, there is great designer all ready to take over for August and I can't wait to meet her.
This week's challenge is SPARKLE AND SHINE and we are showcasing Pretty Pink Posh products. What better products for some sparkle and shine than Pretty Pink Posh? Here's what I did with lots of glittery fun sequins and confetti:
I used a brand new die from MFT Stamps to make my shaker card front. I also made some diagonal striped paper using the SSS Red Rubber Diagonal Stamp. The final item I die cut was my little Geo tag from MFT Stamps. I just starting building from there and I love how overfilling the shaker with lots of red white and blue (plus silver) sequins really makes this birthday card shine.
You won't want to miss all the sparkly and shiny inspiration!

U R My 4ever
Hello Tuesday Friends!
It's been a while since I shared any foiling projects with you. Right now my favorite medium to use with foiled images is watercolor.
The first thing I did was arrange my foiled butterfly squares and then stamp my sentiment. Then I lifted up the squares and applied three colors of watercolor to complement my foil.
I then attached my squares with a little bit of foam tape. I immediately masked off the enter center area and splattered some black paint over the watercolor paper. I have to say, I LOVE how it turned out - a somewhat controlled artsy card front!
I added some sequins and called it done. I hope you like my little card. I know I do!
See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday
Happy Monday!
I hope you have a great start to your week. Mondays are a chance to begin again which I find rather refreshing.
Today's card features images from last month's MFT Stamps release as well as their cute new paper and a birthday sentiment from this month's release. I love mixing stamps and feel almost giddy when I find a match like this!
Have a super wonderful day and I'll see you right back here tomorrow.

Hello Honey
Happy Sunday!
After yesterday's emotional post, I thought I would make a bright and cheerful card for you today.
The cute stamps and dies I used are from Reverse Confetti. You can click right here to see the stamp set which is called, The Buzz. My sentiment is from Paper Smooches and I thought it coordinated perfectly! And have you seen that MFT Stamps sells patterned paper now? I used a sheet from one of the new 6x6 pads and I love it!!
And of course I can't stop using the Stitched Rectangle dies from Simon Says Stamp. How in the world did I ever craft without them?? Do you have favorites like that too?
Have a lovely day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Speak the Truth
Hello Saturday Friends!
True confession time. I made this over a year ago...but I didn't want to share it with you because I did not know if I truly believed it. When I saw the quote (on Pinterest, of course), I pinned it right away and knew I wanted to use it. But after I created this, I could never honestly say, "Oh yes, that's how I live my life." In fact, speaking difficult truth makes me stomach hurt a little (a lot).
Earlier this summer I could have ruined a precious friendship because I did not want to speak the truth. I wanted to keep it inside and try to get past it. But my sweet and dear friend could see the turmoil inside of me and refused to let me keep it in. I know for a fact that if she had not done that, our friendship would have lessened. Instead we are closer than ever and with a trust that is now unbreakable.
Still....I wasn't sure I really believed this. Until yesterday. NOW I know. I had to speak a very difficult truth to a contractor. Instead of being angry (my fear), he was humble and responsive to my concern. And now we BOTH have peace because of truth - truth that I was able to actually speak. And yes - my voice shook. It shook a lot. And tears flowed.
But now I can share this with you because I can honestly say this is a quote I believe. I love the freedom that is buried in truth!
Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Guest Blogger - Happy Wedding
Happy Wednesday!
This is week three of my dream job - guest designer for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. I can't tell you how happy I am to be joining such a great team for the month of July.
This week's challenge is GET IN SHAPE and we are showcasing Lawn Fawn products. So for this week's challenge, we are using a shape other than a square or rectangle. Here is my take on it:
Both sides of this fun wedding gift tag are picture worthy, so I thought I'd share both views. I had the most fun making this tag. I figured out that I LOVE shiny things....and this tag is shiny for sure! I've linked the supplies I used below, including some VERY shiny foil paper from DCWV. Oh and of course some clear Wink of Stella too!
You can win a great prize from Simon Says Stamp - a $50 gift certificate - so don't hesitate to enter. All of the details are on the blog and you can see them and enter your creation right here.
You can see my card as well as all the other design team cards on the blog today.. You won't want to miss the inspiration!
