Hello
Happy Tuesday!
I've been taking an online card class about embossing, so I thought I would try this technique. First I stamped the background and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I went over the whole piece, blending with three shades of Distress ink. The ink resists the embossing powder which is super cool.
I built my floral focal point using some die cut flowers I had cut the night before. Now I want to color EVERYTHING in these soft hues!! But I will try to restrain myself!
Have a lovely day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

I love the beautiful background you created with your card - those colors blend beautifully and are so soft with the white embossing. I also adore the way your choice of black ink/embossing sets off your focal image florals. Gorgeous card - glad I got to see it in the OCC gallery! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous emboss-resist! Those colors are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTerrific card, Susie!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very beautiful card - love the colors :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card! You did a fantastic job stamping the background. May I ask what is the company/name of the floral stamp set you used to create the background?
ReplyDeleteConnie, it is Summer Flowers by Simon Says Stamp. Thank you for such kind words.
