Gina K. Designs Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello Tuesday Friends!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to day two of our April blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K. and the illustrator team from Gina K. Designs!  We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs.  Today we are featuring the lovely new stamp sets by Beth Silaika, Claire Brennan and our newest incentive set, Botanical Blocks..

Here is a look at all three sets:

For my first card (pictured above) I used the adorable Vicky Mermaid set designed by Beth Silaika.  I love cards with lots of white space, so I took a graphic approach using three images and one sentiment.  I only used four bright colors and one neutral color in my design to keep that graphic and clean feel.

Next is my card using Claire's newest set, Cottage Garden:

I used the smallest images in this set to make my card panel.  I repeatedly stamped two different birds from the set and colored them to match my card stock.  Then I made a panel to go on top with that sweet little birdie holding a thank you card.  Sometimes I overlook the smallest images in a set - but not this time.  I love those little birdies!

Finally, here is a small card set using our newest incentive set, Botanical Blocks:

Unless I plan ahead, I rarely have tags for presents that I am wrapping.  So I thought I would make a set of three using this great set.  I stamped each with Gina K. inks and then stamped over that ink with Versamark ink.  I was able to sprinkle on clear embossing powder and heat emboss each image.  Now I have at least three tags that will be ready to go!

Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K. Designs gift certificate!  To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.
