Autumn Banner

Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday my buddy Jalayne and I went to the assisted living to teach our little art class to our wonderful senior friends. We love going there and although they think they get the most out of our little visit, it is we who gain the bigger blessing.

We have learned over the past few years that most of our friends are limited in their artistic abilities and favor coloring, gluing and adding sparkle. This project fit the last two items.

I printed this free printable image on watercolor paper and then cut it out using my Scan n Cut. Same for the scalloped backer. I ink smooshed a bunch of watercolor paper with Distress Oxides and splattered them all with brown paint. Then I became a die cutting fool. So many leaves!! I added just a few leaves and some bling and the twine. Then we headed off to see our sweet friends with the sample banner.

They glued leaves and added bling to their hearts' content. Everyone created differently and I love that. Some had very few leaves and some had LOTS of leaves. But they all had bling and each banner was beautiful!

I hope you will have a fun and creative day. I'll be back tomorrow with another fun project for you.

Susie
