New Release from Picket Fence Studios - Some Christmas in July

Happy Tuesday!

I am so very excited to share two cards with you today from the brand new Picket Fence Studios July Release. Making Christmas cards in July is bringing the pastel vibe out in me. As a result, both cards today are fairly non-traditional!

The first stamp set I used is called Baby It's Cold Outside

These Santa snow people just make me so happy. Their expressions are priceless! I stamped the images onto water color paper and use Karin markers to paint them. When I was done I decided to do some ink blending on the background. Pink sky? Of course! I wanted the snowfall to really show up so I used an embossing pen to make dots and then used white embossing powder to give them dimension. And adding a few pink sequins - the finishing touch!

Next up I used the Believe in the Magic stamp set. Here is a look:

I had so much fun using this set. I wanted a soft color palette and I think I achieved it. I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide inks and then added the cut out Santa image which I embossed with silver embossing powder. I colored him with Copic markers and added some sequins for shine. I also did a bit of paint splatter in black and white for contrast.

Are you feeling the Christmas vibe yet? Be sure to visit Picket Fence Studios to see all of the new stamps, stencils and dies - and so much more! If you would like to see the entire release, you can click right here. I have also linked the products I used in case you are in a shopping mood!

I'll be back tomorrow and I'll see you then!

Susie
