You Believed in Me

Happy Monday!

I am so very glad you are here today! Did you know that green ribbons are a symbol for mental health awareness? I know in this pandemic many people are suffering with depression and anxiety which they had never known previously. I have suffered with bipolar disorder and severe depression most of my adult life. Thankfully it is controlled well with medication. I have also learned many coping skills to help me to have a more 'normal' life.

So the green ribbon truly touches my heart which is why I wanted to create with the Picket Fence Studios Hope Ribbons stamp and use bright green ink:

This is a four way repeating stamp which means left or right, up or down, you can make your beautiful background as large as you would like. I wanted mine to be used in a slim line card so I made it longer to fit inside my three circular openings.

I also used the BFF Girl Kate stamp and die as a focal image. She looks like she has it all together...but perhaps she struggles sometimes too so I have compassion for her. My sentiment is from the Dad's Day stamp set which has some wonderfully encouraging sentiments included.

If you struggle like I have, or maybe our girl Kate here, reach out. Reach out to me, your pastor, a therapist...but don't fight alone. Your mental health is vital and you are worth the effort. I promise.

So that's it for me today. Whatever color ribbon you fancy...stamp away and have some fun with it. You can see these products and so much more by visiting Picket Fence Studios today. I have linked the products I used below in case you are in a shopping mood!

I'll be back tomorrow, so I'll see you then!

  1. Susie, thanks for sharing that card and what the green ribbon means to you. Many of us associate the support ribbons with various kinds of cancer, but they mean so much more.

  3. Thank you for sharing that with us Susie. I haven't seen a green ribbon before, just the pink for breast cancer, and had no idea about it. I'll look out for it now and know what it means. Your card is wonderful and it all rings true, you never know what struggles people are having. And most people are battling something. Stay well xx
