Summer Card Camp - Week 4

Hello Friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday.

Here is one of my entries into this week's Summer Card Camp Color Challenge.

One of my gal pals and I have become intrigued with making rosettes using border punches.  I saw the idea in the Summer Card Camp entries last week and had to try it.  This was the second one I made.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch to make those fun edges.  I used the same punch on the little border toward the center of the card so that you would be able to see which punch I actually used.

I filled the center of the rosette with some flowers and a brad.

Are you wondering how the top of the card is fashioned?  It is just a scrap of white cardstock that I ran through an embossing folder.  It still looked too plain so I used platinum liquid pearls on each little intersection.

So what dies did I use on this card?  I didn't.  I could have....but I wanted you to see that sometimes punches can do the same job.  So if you have a punch that works, I say use it.  I just happen to have both!!

The only guideline I had to enter the challenge was to use this week's colors.  Here is a graphic of the colors we were to use.

Summer Card Camp has been a blast.  I am sad that this is the final week.  If they offer it again, I would say, "HURRY AND SIGN UP!"

Tomorrow I'll be back.  Wait and see!

Susie

  3. The embossing folder is made by Lifestyle Crafts which used to be Quickuts. Here is a link to their website product page:

You will need to copy and paste it into your browser. It will take you directly to the folder.
